parenthood:
to give your children "roots"—the
security and self-confidence to tackle obstacles—and
"wings"—the ability to manage
their own lives.
Successful Parenting is based on
the breakthrough research of Dr.
Katherine Kersey, Professor and Chairperson
of the Department of Early Childhood, Speech
Language Pathology and Special Education at
Old Dominion University in Norfolk, Virginia.
While
studying thousands of successful parents
to find out why their children turned
out so well, Dr. Kersey and other researchers
isolated 10 characteristics common to
them all.
Successful Parenting explains
these 10 Master Keys of parenting success
and shows you how to pattern your actions
after parents who have already raised
happy, well adjusted children.
