What is Colonix?

It seems as though some health products these days require a person to change just about every aspect of their diet and lifestyle for them to be effective, and unfortunately, it seems as though Colonix falls into this category.

Lets face it, the colon is sensitive and is not a part of your body that you should trust to any old product. Colonix is a colon cleansing kit that is impressively packaged and marketed. Dr. Natura makes the Colonix product and has been around for about ten years. They were one of the first companies to market a colon cleanser like Colonix. Unfortunately for unsuspecting customers, offers the infamous "free trial" (which isn't so free!) The 'free trial' is essentially a bait and switch. If you decide to keep the product, your credit card is billed. In some instances, you are shipped and billed on a monthly basis. These types of "free trials" are shady! Arggghhh!

There are so many companies out there that do this! The company is a bit bloodthirsty as well, they sued a smaller company with a product called Colonex 700 just because the names were similar. I tried calling Customer service to see if they could answer a few of my questions about how Colonix compared to other colon cleanse products and they knew almost nothing about the competiton. It was making me berserk that they would only sing me praises about Colonix and were not able to give me any comparison!

Colonix Ingredients

The Colonix kit ingredients are extensive yet masked in their proprietary blend.

As you can see from the list of ingredients in the proprietary blend, it is impossible to tell how much of each ingredient you are getting. When I asked the customer service represetative for the exact amounts of each product, she did not know.

The ingredients used in the Colonix Kit are fairly standard for most Colon Cleanses but the Anti-Parasite support and KleriTea that come with the Kit are too much! These two “Add-ons” may be beneficial to a small extent, but really just serve to spruce up an otherwise slightly inferior colon cleanser and they raise the price significantly.

The Colonix Regime

Undoubtably the most frustrating aspect of Colonix is the almost unbearable regime necessary for the product to be effective. Not only is Colonix not effective if you fail to follow the strict guidelines, but it is painful!

If you do not drink the EXACT amount of water outlined and follow the strict diet that is recommended, you will suffer from headaches, painful cramps and horrible constipation. Constipation is the Anti-Colon Cleanse. Constipation is probably the most common problem and while it is possible to follow the instructions as required, it is very inconvenient and can be avoided with similar colon cleansing products.

Colonix Side Effects

The Senna contained in the KleriTea causes a wide variety of side effects from slight nausea to liver toxicity and there are even some weird effects like swollen fingertips! I am a little confused how a product that is supposed to help my colon, can swell up my fingers - can someone help me there? There must be some "magic connection" between the colon and the fingers.

As stated earlier, if enough water is not consumed, you will be about as backed up as rush hour traffic in L.A.

The Colonex program is not extremely regimented! It is by far the easiest, most simple to use - it tastes good and for the great results I have experienced, worth the price.

All you do is take the 1 T of powder in the morning - drink lots of water during the day (but no more than any one should drink on a normal basis) - and have a cup of tea at night.

What is so regimented about that? I have recommended the program to a number of friends who have all been happy with the results - even a father of a friend who lost 10 pounds in the first month.

Of course, if Colonex is not advertising on this site - or paying you a fee - perhaps that is why you only recommend the others????

I am doing the colonix right now and I love it. Apart from some minor cramps in the morning, I am doing fine. Nothing in life comes easy...I think colonix is a great product.

I love this product...I found great reviews of it online, other than this one and haven't had any problems at all..increased energy and about 5 pound weight loss in about the fist month withut really changing my dies or exercise..actually, sad to admit, eat a lot of fast food mixed with healthy food and drink a good bit of diet cooke...very happy with the results...:)

powder and tea taste awful.

results: just some gas.

other products I've tried:

oxy-powder: I give it a B-
Colovox Kit: I give it an A-
Bowtrol: I give it a C+

I give COLONIX a C-/D+.

I'd recommed others not try this product. It doesn't work too well and is way way way overpriced.

I'd recommend Colovox or Oxy-Powder anyday. They both work better and are cheaper.

I loved this product for the first 30 days until I developed gastritus an an ulcer. My bofriend started 2 weeks later and he too started to have pains and unexplained vomitting. I returned my three months supply.

I have been on Colonix since January of 2009. I bought the 3 month package because that was highly recommended for optimum cleansing and I have to tell you I have not lost even one pound. I have taken the product every day following the instructions to the letter and NOTHING...this is a WASTE of money and time. I will finish out the 3 month program but I would not ever purchase again. :-(

colonix did not do anything for me. I was excited to try it because it was supposed to be highly rated. This was my 3rd try colon cleansing. My first attempt was with Colonoxy. It worked great. Second attempt was Evercleanse which worked even worse than Colonix.

I'm going back to Colonoxy. That product works incredibly well compared to colonix and evercleanse.

Colonix had too many side effects, too little positive results, and too high of a price tag for me to recommend to anyone.

The drink is WAY too thick and gross tasting. The thought of it now make me want to gag.

I got MUCH BETTER results with Blessed Herbs colon cleansing kit -- BUT I didn't like their deceptive billing practices of putting me on "autoship".

So far to date I have gotten the BEST VALUE from a product you recommend called Colovox. BUT... the colovox drink doesn't taste great either. Tastes twice as good as colonix but thats not saying much. But boy oh boy did colovox/puravox cleanse me.

colonix tastes like poison. serious. I don't know if it works or not because I couldn't take it long enough because of the foul taste. Its thicker than a wendys frostee dairy dessert. But tastes like e blended blended filet-o-fish.

its harder to drink the colonix drink than it is to chug vodka.

Colonix powder drink mixes about as well as oil and water do.

IF you cannot tell I have buyers remorse.

This is buy far the best product I have ever tried. It is easy to stick to and does nto taste bad at all try the fiber mix with OJ. I can see how people that have a problem with follwing thru on things would have issues. I just started month #2 and I the last time I fet this great was a teen in high school. In 30 days I have dropped more then 20 lbs this with a hour of walking a day and no processed foods!!! for those who are dissing this produst ask your self, I'm I forgetting a day here and there I'm I drinking enough water. I swear one hour of walking really help loosing things up as I always so to the restroom right after my walk.

colonex was just a totally overpriced fiber supplement. Don't bother with it. You can buy metamucil which will give you the same exact results for 1/10th the price. And it mixes way better and tastes way better too.

colonix mixes all lumpy and clumpy and tastes really chalky with a hint of poison.

colonix is super easy. I am almost finished with my first month. I havent lost any weight but it doesnt guarentee that you will either. I am not doing this to loose weight, I am doing this to cleanse my colon... Anyway. I mix my fiber in with some lowfat yogurt, little bit of juice or water and some frozen berries - blend it and it tastes great...followed by a glass of water...or try it in some apple juice. Its super easy, I have some seen some strange things as a result of this cleanse.. and you dont drink any more water than you should anyway...just 8 8oz glasses of water a day... :-D

This is only day three for me but I think I'm stopping and returning the rest of this product. I have been following it just as directed and eating and drinking water as I should. Day one was okay but day two I was very tired just feeling really drained and had a headache, day three I almost passed out at church. I was shaking and cold and feeling just weak and very strange. Maybe it was just a bad reaction with my system. I see it works for many people but for me it's a no.

I have been using Colonix for 3 years now. The first year, I did a three month program and the 2 other years, I have done 2 months. I suffered from IBS for many years with medication that made me feel worse. Ever since I've been doing the Colonix cleansing program, I have no more symptoms nor do I take medication.

If you follow the instructions properly and buy yourself a small mixer, you will find that the fiber mixed in properly with OJ actually tastes very good and is not thick. You obviously need to drink 8 8oz glasses of water like you would with any fiber or else you will be constipated.

I have had great results and so have all my friends which I recommended the product. I guess it's a small price to pay when you want to take care of your health. I have no unpleasent side effects.
