Extreme Acai Berry is the new diet pill that offers absolutely no inoformation about their product. Seriously. None. Their website consists of one page. No contact info, no guarantee, and the fact that the only way you can order this Acai Berry supplement is to order their "14 Day Trial" raises many suspicions.
Are they going to auto-ship you a product that doesn't work? Will you be able to cancel the auto-ship and auto-bill nightmare? Will Extreme Acai Berry help you lose weight?
Let's try to answer these questions.
What is the Extreme Acai Berry?
Extreme Acai Berry is a weight loss pill that claims to "flush pounds and pounds of waste and toxins from your body ". Acai Berry is nothing new. But trust me, don't believe Extreme Acai Berry when they tell you that it has a "cult following", or that it is a cure-all to detox your body. Guess what, Acai Berry will not "give you a flatter sexier midsection." Seriously - who are these guys? There are a few references to a product called Monavie - some multi-level company.
What are the Active Ingredients in Extreme Acai Berry?
I have to suppose that the main and only ingredient in Extreme Acai Berry is Acai Berry. They don't list anything else on their website.
How much is the Extreme Acai Berry?
Extreme Acai Berry is priced at $4 for a 2 week trial - BUT - AND THIS IS HUGE - When you order your "FREE TRIAL" you are signing up for one of the BIGGEST DIET PILL SCAMS EVER.
Extreme Acai Berry Free Trial - The Scam of the Century
Extreme Acai Berry is one of many diet supplements / fat burners that offers a "free trial". It is important that you read the fine print of these offers as sometimes they tend to be not so free. Here is the fine print from the Extreme Acai Berry website:
"I understand that by ordering Extreme Acai Berry, I am agreeing to receive Extreme Acai Berry for a free 14-day trial period (days of availability for actual usage could be less depending on shipping time) beginning on date of order. $3.95 (non-refundable) for S&P. I understand that unless I cancel by calling 1-801-208-7485 within this 14-day period, beginning on the 14th day my credit card will automatically be charged $89.31 (Free Shipping) for a 31 day supply of Extreme Acai Berry to be shipped at that time to my door.
Thereafter, until and unless I cancel, my credit card will automatically be charged an additional $89.31 every 31 days for a new supply of Extreme Acai Berry. I understand that I may cancel any future shipments Monday through Friday by calling 1-801-208-7485. Our hours of operation are from 8am to 5pm MST.
We do not accept returns on any products that have been shipped."
The text bolding and coloring is my doing - but the slick marketing is theirs. Honestly, the only place where you can see these "terms" is by clicking some crazy small link on the bottom of their page. Honestly, $90 every 31 days for a product that you CANT RETURN!!!!!!!!!!! ARE YOU SERIOUS!!!!!!! WHERE IS THE FTC!!!!!!
I have never fallen victim to the free trial offer, but many of our readers have. They have said that, not in regards to Extreme Acai Berry, that these trials are really hard to back out of, they have a hard time contacting customer service, and spend a lot of time working out the charges with their credit card company.
Extreme ACAI Berry has taken this deceptive and devious marketing tactic to a new level. Most companies will let you return the product - but Extreme Acia Berry? Sorry buddy, you are S.O.L. Thanks for you $90.
Why You Might Buy the Extreme Acai Berry:
* Has no side effects.
* May slightly suppress hunger.
* You are a total SUCKER!
* You have the desire to flush money down the toilet
* You are not being effected by current fuel prices
Why You Might Not Buy the Extreme Acai Berry:
* Extreme Acai Berry is the Scam of the Century
* Doesn’t contain clinically proven ingredients.
* Free trial is a auto-bill / auto-ship program that may be hard to cancel.
* Does not offer any clinical studies and testimonials.
* Costs more than most supplements.
Extreme Acai Berry Conclusion
Do I serioulsy need to even conclude on this crap? These guys give diet supplement companies a bad name. $90 for Acai Berry is rediculous and unjustifiable. Toss in the fact that they auto-bill and ship you a product that is unreturnable?? That is theft. Do Not Buy Extreme Acai Berry.

Just when you thought it was safe to shop on the web, some internet scammers have found new ways to trick you with an innovative "bait and switch" scheme. I have a 20 year old daughter that likes to purchase products on the internet, but since I know there are a lot of scams on the internet, I always have to ask what sites she is using to make sure they are legitimate.
Here is an example of very sophisticated scam that was recently exposed: Scammers will build 15-20 websites all with different URL's, landing pages, terms of service, privacy policies with the same targeted keywords to attract new customers. But you can tell that they are the same organization by the same photos and sometimes the same verbage and calls to action they use. The reason they are creating so many websites is so they call fill up at least the first 10-20 paid Google Adwords positions and flush out the competition. They will most likely bid high on the same targeted keywords to lock themselves in those top positions.
At first glance it looks like there is a lot of friendly competition going on when you see different URL's and uniquely worded ads, but after you take a closer look, it is just one organization controlling the front two pages using the same targeted keywords. Here are some common tricks that internet scammers use on Google AdWords.
WHAT’S THEIR HOOK?
FREE diet pills with an exotic super fruit. $3.95 S & H. Why do they put S & H, because they need to collect your CC info. Fancy landing pages, celebrities, obvious benefits from super slim models. No clinical proof that acai can help you lose weight.
MISREPRESENTATION - They will set up an AdWords ad and landing page and review their own products and give poor ratings to some of their own landing pages just to try to look like legitimate third party is reviewing their site.

WHAT IS MISSING FROM ALL OF THEIR SITES?
Trust icons like Hacker Safe, McAfee Secure, BBBOnline, a physical address and phone number directly to the company instead of an independent calling center. Some of their sites have already been flagged by SiteAdvisor for misrepresentation and spamming, but since not everyone has a SiteAdvisor plugin for their browser, most people won't have a clue about these scams going on.
LESSONS LEARNED...
If you see something on the internet that looks too good to be true, it usually is. Always read the terms of service and privacy policies on the internet. If you really need to purchase a product or service on the internet, make sure you have access to the real company and not just to a call center. The physical address and phone number of the owner of the website should be on the "About Us" page or, better yet, on the home page. Always look for real trust icons, since there are a lot of fake trust icons out there as well. A real trust icon will show the real date that a site is tested and the address and other contact information will be revealed when you click on the icon.
I did not authorize them to send it to me - the "Extreme Acai Berry @ 89.31.
I did however reported them to my bank that this was not ordered and they closed my current visa and I'm now waiting for the paper work from them to report them as "Fraud."
Thank you for this info. This is really an eye opener. If you have any other advise I would appreciate hearing it.
If you want to turn them into the BBB, use the name charged on your credit card company and the address they sent the supplement from.

I am sure it is only a matter of time before word gets out and they are no longer in business. But we do have recourses, be sure and dispute it with your credit card companies. AcaiBerry is required to file extra papers with explanation to every credit card that files a complaint. The money is reversed out of their accounts until the dispute is resolved.
Good Luck
Bobbie
Imagine my surprise when I got a bottle of a similar product (not the same as the "trial" acai berry, look at your bottle), in the mail today. I called the bank first to ask if there was a new charge against my card from the people who did the "free" trial. The answer was "no", but there was a charge of $89.31 from a new company name, and the bank was already aware of this scam. They gave me a phone number to call and cancel my supposed "membership" in this club first, which I did. It was about an hour on hold, and a rude woman insisting I "had" agreed to joining the monthly drug club by signing up for the free trial. She finally gave me a cancellation number, (do not know if it's legit or not), and told me I would not be allowed to return the bottle I never requested.
So......called the bank back and they sent me the forms to file the fraud claim, cancelled my card, and said I shouldn't get my hopes up for getting my money back from the theft.
I am returning the bottle in the morning to what looks like a phoney return address, but feel like I need proof from the Post Office that I am not commiting any sort of fraud on this end by keeping something I didn't pay for.
Hope they get shut down quickly, and the thousands of people who got scammed will get their money back.
YOU WILL NOT BE ABLE TO CANCEL YOUR ORDER AND THEY WILL TRY TO BILL YOUR CARD FOR FUTURE SHIPMENTS NO MATTER WHAT YOU DO UNLESS YOU CANCEL YOUR CARD AND REPORT THIS SCAM TO YOUR BANK.
First of all this $#*% doesnt work and moreover when you try calling them to cancel, you have to wait for hours to get to a customer representative, It sucks. Waste of time & money...
I luckily read all the reviews after a few days during the free trial period and after calling those fuckheads couple of times, i finally cancelled the order so that the $90 billing wont recur on my account.
Not only will they not return my $$ or the product, I asked for a supervisor and got "someone" and he told me that I could not return the product nor would they ever!
I am going to report this to the Better Business Bureau for sure!
So frustrating isnt it!
"I tried several different diet pills and workout plans after I gave birth to my second child. I struggled really bad with losing all the baby weight. One day I was watching Oprah and she had a show about weight loss. It was amazing. I ended up losing 44 lbs in 90 days. You can read about it on my blog. http://www.sarahsweightloss.info"
I went to that website and that was the only thing on there. The search window didn't even work! Talk about a scam in progress. Someone probably paid to have this person (that or the scammers are doing it themselves) repost the same answer on yahoo questions and answers to continue scamming people. I almost bought into it. I did my research before throwing away my money. Thank God.
I will report to BBB, suggesting DO NOT BUY exteme aciaberry, DO NOT call for the $3.95 scam. We need help!!!!
Guess I'll stick with plain ol' healthy eating instead of risking money and headaches with companies who CHEAT the public..
Good luck to all who you believed these @ssholes. I hope you get your money back and THEY get what they deserve!!
If anyone has a different # for them, please let me kow.

PLUS! My card has been charged for a utility bill that I haven't authorized for $250 for a company I don't have utilities with. I have been doing online shopping and bill paying for a year and haven't had a problem with fraud until I gave my card number to the extremeacaiberry.com...So my bank is sending me a new card with a new number...
This is a SCAM! I'm reporting them to the BBB, too.
I was just wondering if there is any comeback from the scamming scumbag company if you just cancel your credit card?
The reason I ask is that I have 13 days left of my so called trial period, and have phoned the company twice so far, both times have been fobbed off as apparently my details aren't recognised on their system so affectively they can't cancel my subsription...I've now written to them stating I wish to cancel, I'm in the UK so the letter won't hit til a week and its costing me a fortune to keep ringing. I've spoken to my CC company who have told me cancelling my card makes no odds to the fact that I have a contract out with this company, until I contact them and cancel...I know damn well the letter won't do anything, and callin them is useless.....do I wait for the inevitable $90 to be taken out of my account before my CC do anything about it or do I cancel my card....if so, is there any comeback from Acaiberry?.....do they continue to chase you even when the card has been cancelled...PLEASE HELP with any similar situations, dunno whether to follow CC claims proceedings or risk getting bad credit ratings or/and being chased by this company?
Thanks x
We do not accept returns on any products that have been shipped.
It's all right there.
I wish i would have found this site sooner. My cc said that i am protected against these scams and they do call me if there is a question on my bill (they have called me before) and if they do try to charge me that the cc would call me.
If you ordered this product call your cc now and tell them about the scam!
This is such a big scam no even the company wants to hear from their customers, what a bad idea to have ordered it.
The only way to get out of this is to cancel your card. If the credit card company will not take the charge off of your bill. DUMP THEM TOO. They need you a lot more than you need them.
I would love to call and cancel all I get is a busy signal
not your normal busy signal but the kind where the # isnt working
I have not recieved a thing its not 14 days and I got dinged $89.31 for what? I am soo mad grrrrrr
Got my CC card cancelled thanks God!
I just got off the phone with the company your suppose to be able to call and cancel within 14 days. Like many of you, so not true. I received the free trial on day 13, started calling the number on the paper and only got a fast busy signal. I tried every day for a week, and then today I called my bank and cancelled my card and made sure they could not take any more money. The bank person tried to call three different numbers she had listed for the company and guess what...no getting through. As we are about to get off the phone, she decides to try one more time and we then get through. Now we sit with horribly loud music forever while waiting for someone to answer. She decided to jump off, due to how long it was taking and I stay on the phone. Finally someone answered. I told him everything and said I wanted to cancel and wanted my money back and he said no. He said you cannot have your money back becuase I did not call within the 14 days. I told him I tried to but theya re running a scam business and no one can get through. Not even my bank.
I am now calling the BBB and getting them involved. Be sure you do not ever buy any product from them....they sell many and if you do, report the fraud they are committing. THIS IS A HORRIBLE REPRESENTATION OF OUR WORLD!

I am just going to cancel my credit card and hopefully that will be the end of it. I'm not having any luck getting in touch with them. I checked my card today and so far it just has the $1 charge on it. Lesson learned. I certainly don't advise anyone to purchase this product! I also think that someone should contact the celebrities that they are using to promote their scam and let them know about it. I'm sure they wouldn't want to be linked to this in any way!
I have tried to call the number on the bottle and the number on the small piece of paper that accompanied the bottle shipped to me for "eight nine dollars and thirty one cents", and the numbers are do not work. They don't put the price in number form because they know that once you see the price, you will choke.
How do I get the automatic shipments to stop?
This company is a SCAM outfit for which we need stronger consumer protection. Cancelling a credit card is not equitable recourse.
Still no Acai Berry. Guess the weight loss comes from stressing out, worrying how much will be charged on your card when you wake up in the morning!
Called the FLorida BBB after going back to the Acai Berry site to cancel after learning about them giving my info to this other co. (which is probably all the same people), looked up the #, doesn't work. Found a different number in their privacy statement, didn't work.
Still don't know why they're on MST if they're in FLA??????
SCAM! These people should have criminal charges brought against them!
The only people on here saying it's authentic and such are probably those same people!
I want to cancel. They can keep the $5.95 for S&H and the pills. I do not want to be charged for something I'm not sure will work in 14 days as the body won't have time to adjust.
I think it's really sad that they have screwed so many people over. My bank does stop payments on debits for up to a year so I should be able to ward off being charged the initial time since I have their info from the S&H charge.
If I don't get someone on Monday then I will call my bank and block them. They've already lied about when I'd receive the shipment. Secondly, I've received only one email from them that the order was processed, no shipped email. So, there is fishiness already that makes me believe this is all a scam.
I hope more people read this site before purchasing. The only difference in the site I used from seemingly everyone else is that my S&H charge was more and the trial is for 30-Days and not 14-Days.
But, someone listed the site I used "Acai Berry Review" and another person read which links were ONLY available on that site which I found to be weird as well.
You don't have to worry about me doing anymore free trials. This is craziness. Lesson learned.
I fell for 2 of these frauds from the same top level website using two different credit cards. This was from the top level website acaitop3.com. The two companies pulling different but similar frauds were AcaiPure and Extreme Acai Berry. My story is similar to the other Acai complaints on this website. My cards were with 2 different banks: BofA, and American Express (AMEX). BofA is unsympathetic and is making me complain in writing. AMEX immediately handled my complaint by message and phone. I asked both banks not to accept any more charges from the merchant. In both cases I complained to the merchant by phone and email, and in one case their web site. I filed a fraud claim with the FBI. With AMEX, the merchant made another charge 8 days after receiving AMEX's inquiry. They escalated my complaint to FRAUD, and are issuing a new card.
To include me in the class action suit email:
I've called aleast 50 times (not exzagerating)and I can't get through. I've tried: 877-350-8480, 801-208-7485, 877-350-8515, 877-859-1105, 877-361-8604, and 801-208-7490.
I haven't received the "trail" yet but my CC has been charged. I've contacted my CC company, cancelled my CC, disputed the charge and started a fraud investigation.
Even if you "read the fine print" you can't get through to the company to cancel because they don't or won't answer their phones...note there are MANY phone numbers that are going unanswered.
So I have spent all day trying to "cancel" my order. Thank God for redial. Anyhow, I called a ton of #'s and finally got to someone at this #: 877 350 8480. HOWEVER, I had to call like 15 times until I got through. ALso, I was on hold for about 20 minutes. Don't give up if you are on hold. Just stay on. if that number doesnt work try these #'s. I didn't have to sue these numbers because I did eventually get through with the other, but here they are:
801-208-7490
877-859-1109
GOOD LUCK
P.S. Even if you do cancel, make sure to get the confirmation # and I would also cancel your credit card and get a new one.
In conclusion do no order ACAI BERRY IT IS A RIP OFF!!!!
I would truly love to pay them a visit in person with the proper authorities in tow... or not.
I told them I had no interest in such things and didn\'t appreciate someone giving out my information without my approval. It does NOT state in the Terms that they give out your info. This company, \"membership services\" they call themselves, says they work for several companies and that if I don\'t cancel THEIR subscription that I\'ll receive in 2 wks, I\'ll be charged 19.95 a month. The lady was rude and pushy and sent me to their verification department to a guy who wanted my date of birth. When I said it wasn\'t necessary bc I was canceling and wanted a customer service number, he rudely gave me the number and hung up.
I called this number (1800-475-1942) and was told I wasn\'t in the system and had to wait 3-5 days before I could cancel with them. When I found this site, I called them again and this time the lady asked for my debit card number in order to see which company referred me to them!! Insane!
Then I called the number on the free trial bottle for Fullfillment in Davie, Fl and of course we all know what that was. On hold after an automated message or disconnected. Finally I just called my bank and made them aware of what was going on and that I was uncomfortable with the situation and had my account closed and reopened under a new account.
I haven\'t been charged 89.00 yet, bc my trial is technical not over until tomorrow. But I\'m glad I caught wind of this when I did! Had that lady not called me for her company late last night, I would\'ve been caught up in a mess! The number for the acai supp I called was 1801-208-7485.
Here is my suggestions if you get taken by these bozos:
(1) go on line and email a complaint to your state attorney general;
(2) email a complaint to generalmanager@domainsbyproxy.com. They hold the "domain name" for this crew and tell them what you think of this operation. Demand a refund from them.
3. Complain to the fulfillent center that sent you this crud by writing them at 4650 SW 51st St Bay 711, Davie Fl. 33314. And tell them you'll hold them responsible if they don't cancel. Then write a letter to your state atty general about the fulfillment center.
Much to my surprise, the sample came in the mail a few days ago.
I had a WHOLE lot of trouble getting through on the number they provided on the enclosed sheet: 1-877-350-8480 (actually you don't need to dial the "1" anymore and oddly enough that's when I got through). The customer service rep was very nice (and very young-sounding). I got a cancellation # from her and an e-mail address: Customerservice@nubodi.com (hope it works!) and a mailing address: Nubodi, 4650 SW 51st St., Davie, FL 33314 (hope I don't have to use it. My credit card company (Citibank) said there is nothing they can do unless or until a charge appears and I can dispute it. I'll wait and see what happens. I too, wish I had seen this forum before I even looked at the product online.
