Extreme Acai Berry (ExtremeAcaiBerry) Review

Extreme Acai Berry is the new diet pill that offers absolutely no inoformation about their product. Seriously. None. Their website consists of one page. No contact info, no guarantee, and the fact that the only way you can order this Acai Berry supplement is to order their "14 Day Trial" raises many suspicions.

Are they going to auto-ship you a product that doesn't work? Will you be able to cancel the auto-ship and auto-bill nightmare? Will Extreme Acai Berry help you lose weight?

Let's try to answer these questions.

What is the Extreme Acai Berry?

Extreme Acai Berry is a weight loss pill that claims to "flush pounds and pounds of waste and toxins from your body ". Acai Berry is nothing new. But trust me, don't believe Extreme Acai Berry when they tell you that it has a "cult following", or that it is a cure-all to detox your body. Guess what, Acai Berry will not "give you a flatter sexier midsection." Seriously - who are these guys? There are a few references to a product called Monavie - some multi-level company.

What are the Active Ingredients in Extreme Acai Berry?

I have to suppose that the main and only ingredient in Extreme Acai Berry is Acai Berry. They don't list anything else on their website.

How much is the Extreme Acai Berry?

Extreme Acai Berry is priced at $4 for a 2 week trial - BUT - AND THIS IS HUGE - When you order your "FREE TRIAL" you are signing up for one of the BIGGEST DIET PILL SCAMS EVER.

Extreme Acai Berry Free Trial - The Scam of the Century

Extreme Acai Berry is one of many diet supplements / fat burners that offers a "free trial". It is important that you read the fine print of these offers as sometimes they tend to be not so free. Here is the fine print from the Extreme Acai Berry website:

"I understand that by ordering Extreme Acai Berry, I am agreeing to receive Extreme Acai Berry for a free 14-day trial period (days of availability for actual usage could be less depending on shipping time) beginning on date of order. $3.95 (non-refundable) for S&P. I understand that unless I cancel by calling 1-801-208-7485 within this 14-day period, beginning on the 14th day my credit card will automatically be charged $89.31 (Free Shipping) for a 31 day supply of Extreme Acai Berry to be shipped at that time to my door.

Thereafter, until and unless I cancel, my credit card will automatically be charged an additional $89.31 every 31 days for a new supply of Extreme Acai Berry. I understand that I may cancel any future shipments Monday through Friday by calling 1-801-208-7485. Our hours of operation are from 8am to 5pm MST.

We do not accept returns on any products that have been shipped."

The text bolding and coloring is my doing - but the slick marketing is theirs. Honestly, the only place where you can see these "terms" is by clicking some crazy small link on the bottom of their page. Honestly, $90 every 31 days for a product that you CANT RETURN!!!!!!!!!!! ARE YOU SERIOUS!!!!!!! WHERE IS THE FTC!!!!!!

I have never fallen victim to the free trial offer, but many of our readers have. They have said that, not in regards to Extreme Acai Berry, that these trials are really hard to back out of, they have a hard time contacting customer service, and spend a lot of time working out the charges with their credit card company.

Extreme ACAI Berry has taken this deceptive and devious marketing tactic to a new level. Most companies will let you return the product - but Extreme Acia Berry? Sorry buddy, you are S.O.L. Thanks for you $90.

Why You Might Buy the Extreme Acai Berry:

* Has no side effects.
* May slightly suppress hunger.
* You are a total SUCKER!
* You have the desire to flush money down the toilet
* You are not being effected by current fuel prices

Why You Might Not Buy the Extreme Acai Berry:

* Extreme Acai Berry is the Scam of the Century
* Doesn’t contain clinically proven ingredients.
* Free trial is a auto-bill / auto-ship program that may be hard to cancel.
* Does not offer any clinical studies and testimonials.
* Costs more than most supplements.

Extreme Acai Berry Conclusion

Do I serioulsy need to even conclude on this crap? These guys give diet supplement companies a bad name. $90 for Acai Berry is rediculous and unjustifiable. Toss in the fact that they auto-bill and ship you a product that is unreturnable?? That is theft. Do Not Buy Extreme Acai Berry.

Acai Berry Diet Scam rears it's ugly head!
ACAI BERRY DIET SCAM ALERT

Just when you thought it was safe to shop on the web, some internet scammers have found new ways to trick you with an innovative "bait and switch" scheme. I have a 20 year old daughter that likes to purchase products on the internet, but since I know there are a lot of scams on the internet, I always have to ask what sites she is using to make sure they are legitimate.

Here is an example of very sophisticated scam that was recently exposed: Scammers will build 15-20 websites all with different URL's, landing pages, terms of service, privacy policies with the same targeted keywords to attract new customers. But you can tell that they are the same organization by the same photos and sometimes the same verbage and calls to action they use. The reason they are creating so many websites is so they call fill up at least the first 10-20 paid Google Adwords positions and flush out the competition. They will most likely bid high on the same targeted keywords to lock themselves in those top positions.

At first glance it looks like there is a lot of friendly competition going on when you see different URL's and uniquely worded ads, but after you take a closer look, it is just one organization controlling the front two pages using the same targeted keywords. Here are some common tricks that internet scammers use on Google AdWords.

WHAT’S THEIR HOOK?

FREE diet pills with an exotic super fruit. $3.95 S & H. Why do they put S & H, because they need to collect your CC info. Fancy landing pages, celebrities, obvious benefits from super slim models. No clinical proof that acai can help you lose weight.

MISREPRESENTATION - They will set up an AdWords ad and landing page and review their own products and give poor ratings to some of their own landing pages just to try to look like legitimate third party is reviewing their site.

WHAT IS MISSING FROM ALL OF THEIR SITES?

Trust icons like Hacker Safe, McAfee Secure, BBBOnline, a physical address and phone number directly to the company instead of an independent calling center. Some of their sites have already been flagged by SiteAdvisor for misrepresentation and spamming, but since not everyone has a SiteAdvisor plugin for their browser, most people won't have a clue about these scams going on.

LESSONS LEARNED...

If you see something on the internet that looks too good to be true, it usually is. Always read the terms of service and privacy policies on the internet. If you really need to purchase a product or service on the internet, make sure you have access to the real company and not just to a call center. The physical address and phone number of the owner of the website should be on the "About Us" page or, better yet, on the home page. Always look for real trust icons, since there are a lot of fake trust icons out there as well. A real trust icon will show the real date that a site is tested and the address and other contact information will be revealed when you click on the icon.

Got suckered for $90
Well I bought the trial bottle of Extreme Acai Berry for $4. It did seem to help my high appetite levels a little bit. Could have been my imagination though (placebo affect?) But surprise! A couple weeks later, I receive a full bottle in the mail and I checked my bank statement and low and behold, a nice unexpected charge for $89.31 plus some fee of $.71. When I called to ask how to return the product they asked if I had read the terms and conditions of the trial offer. Of course I never saw any terms and conditions. I usally check for these things and never saw any indication I was setting myself up for further charges. I should have known better! Uugh. They did say they would send me another full bottle free of charge to make up for it. So I get 2 bottles for $90! Still a rediculous price for a product I have no idea what benefit it has for me and $90 I did not have.

Reported Fraud
I was looking at the "Extreme Acai Berry" website and was going to order it and put my info for purchase on it then after thinking about it I closed the window therefore did not click on any "continue, ok to pay, authorized and so on. The window did close without saving (so I thought) and of course it showed up in my bank account as a payment.

I did not authorize them to send it to me - the "Extreme Acai Berry @ 89.31.
I did however reported them to my bank that this was not ordered and they closed my current visa and I'm now waiting for the paper work from them to report them as "Fraud."

Thank you for this info. This is really an eye opener. If you have any other advise I would appreciate hearing it.

Pure Acai Berry
Yes, Extreme Acai IS a rip off, sleazy business. Also beware of it's sibling "Pure Acai Berry" which is the same rip-off tactics, they have a 'supposed' 14 and 30 days return policy, but good luck there. I am frustrated and filing fradulent charges with my credit card company, which is a hassle on my part....but I'm done trying to deal with them via phone and email. Looks like they have a 3rd sibling to beware of (I found while researching them all for crooked tactics), Acai Berry Supreme. Things that make you go HUH?

I also order free trail and no where did I see that they were going to charge me 89.31 now I can't get my money nor have I recieved the product......
#6 - Sheila - 09/15/2008 - 10:32
I tried to call to cancel my next full subscription, but no one picks up the phone. At first, this recording comes on, saying someone will be right w/me etc, and to stay on the line. I'm on the line waiting and listening to their music. Then the music stops playing and no one comes on the line, leaving me there waiting for nothing. So now, I am going through my bank to stop these people from furthur use of my credit card. I'm in the process of having to order a new credit card and cancelling the one that they have on file, so they can no longer put fraud charges on my card. I advice you to do the same. These guys are phony.
#7 - lisa - 09/15/2008 - 21:44
These people are disgustingly slick! I contacted my credit card company and disputed the charges as well as turned them into the Better Business Bureau in Florida. I also let the AcaiBerry Customer Rep. know he should be ashamed of himself for being part of such an unethical business. (He seemed unfazed by my comment, I guess he has heard this before.)
If you want to turn them into the BBB, use the name charged on your credit card company and the address they sent the supplement from.
Mine stated:
Fullfillment
4650 SW 51st St., Bay 711
8012855012
Davie FL 33314

I am sure it is only a matter of time before word gets out and they are no longer in business. But we do have recourses, be sure and dispute it with your credit card companies. AcaiBerry is required to file extra papers with explanation to every credit card that files a complaint. The money is reversed out of their accounts until the dispute is resolved.

Good Luck
Bobbie

Shame on them!!!
I never thought I would get suckered and am very careful to read small print. Surprise! I got suckered out of $90.00. I guess I was even lucky getting the product at all. Imagine $90.00 for 60 pills. Outrageous. How do they get up every morning knowing their job is to deceive people who are looking to make improvements in their health? I have never had problems ordering off the internet but I now have learned an invaluable lesson. Remember what your parents told you? Nothing is for free. Free 15 day trial my *****.

Acaiberry SCAM
It seems the internet continues to grow with leaps and bounds as a public forum for crooks and scam artists. The people of EXTREME ACAIBERRY will not be outdone in this regard. Like many honest and unsuspecting individuals, I too fell victim to this scam. I never saw anything on the website about the automatic billing after 14 days untill, as I was throwing away the packaging, I saw a very small piece of paper in the envelope stating this abhorant fact. I immeditaley called Nu-body to cancel my order. That was, as it were, on the fourteenth day. I made it very clear that I was not interested in the product, company or procedures. I told them not to bill my CC or send me anymore product. The women on the phone said fine, and gave me a CANCELATION number. When I got my next creditcard statement it showed me that I WAS BILLED $89.31 ANYWAY AND THEY NEVER SENT ANY PRODUCT either. I have tried to contact the company numerous times and have never been able to get through. (I suppose that they have record of the PH.#'s of people that they have scammed and then just refuse to answer those calls.) I have since had to dispute this FRAUDULENT activity through my CC company which, as many may know, is a time consuming royal pain in the butt. With all the other complaints similar to mine (and not just on this website) it seems to me that Nu-Body or whoever these unscrupulous individuals are should be brought into account via a class-action lawsuite.
#10 - TOM - 09/16/2008 - 15:57
I too saw the ad for a free trial of this product with only a $3.95 S&H charge. I DID NOT SEE ANY TERMS AND CONDITIONS STATING THAT IF I DIDN'T CANCEL IN 14 DAYS THEY WOULD SEND MORE AND CHARGE MY CARD!!! I was reading the Real Age webpage about the high antioxidant value of acai berries and on the same page, the small ad for the free sample appeared. I believed it to be reputable since I like Real Age. I paid my credit card bill without checking the charges for two months, then thankfully the credit card company called me to ask about the $89.31 charges. I immediately called the number the credit card company gave me to cancel but could not get a refund. What a terrible scam. DON'T BUY THIS PRODUCT!!!
#11 - Sharon - 09/17/2008 - 21:16
Extreme Acailberry
This product made me sick and when I called to cancel I was on hold for 3 hours and no one picked up. So I don't think you can cancel your future orders unless you cancel your credit card.
#12 - Julie - 09/19/2008 - 14:05
rip off scam sleazy
all the reviews you read are true. I spent an hour on the phone with these assholes, playing like their phone is not working, putting you on hold, acting stupid, waiting on you to give up. I got charged $89.31 for a free sample. They say if you don't send it back within 14 days of the billing date you will be charged, they make sure you get it after the 14 days. I ordered it on Aug 31, they shipped Spt 16th, too late they don't give you a chance to do it. I have a huge headache now must go.
#13 - donald king - 09/19/2008 - 17:18
extreme Acai Berry SCAM
I too was foolish enough to fall for the "free" sample of Extreme Acai Berry for $3.95 shipping. There was no information about the company on the site, no way to contact anyone, no way to order a catalog, or additional product should you want to later. This should have raised big flags to me, but I went ahead and ordered the sample anyway.

Imagine my surprise when I got a bottle of a similar product (not the same as the "trial" acai berry, look at your bottle), in the mail today. I called the bank first to ask if there was a new charge against my card from the people who did the "free" trial. The answer was "no", but there was a charge of $89.31 from a new company name, and the bank was already aware of this scam. They gave me a phone number to call and cancel my supposed "membership" in this club first, which I did. It was about an hour on hold, and a rude woman insisting I "had" agreed to joining the monthly drug club by signing up for the free trial. She finally gave me a cancellation number, (do not know if it's legit or not), and told me I would not be allowed to return the bottle I never requested.

So......called the bank back and they sent me the forms to file the fraud claim, cancelled my card, and said I shouldn't get my hopes up for getting my money back from the theft.

I am returning the bottle in the morning to what looks like a phoney return address, but feel like I need proof from the Post Office that I am not commiting any sort of fraud on this end by keeping something I didn't pay for.

Hope they get shut down quickly, and the thousands of people who got scammed will get their money back.
#14 - Joyce - 09/20/2008 - 01:20
Yup. I was suckered too, $89.31. Thought I wasn't the type to fall for internet scams? You don't have to be stupid to fall for this one. Wish I had seen this site before it happened. Had to dispute the charge with Visa after getting nowhere like everyone else. Learned a valuable lesson today. Thanks everyone for taking the time to share your experience.

EXTREMEACAIBERRY.COM IS A RIP OFF.

YOU WILL NOT BE ABLE TO CANCEL YOUR ORDER AND THEY WILL TRY TO BILL YOUR CARD FOR FUTURE SHIPMENTS NO MATTER WHAT YOU DO UNLESS YOU CANCEL YOUR CARD AND REPORT THIS SCAM TO YOUR BANK.
#16 - Chuck - 09/23/2008 - 11:20
I'm another one. Received my "trial" bottle, next month another bottle, next month another bottle, and found $89.30 on my credit card bill. After the second bottle, I called the company and was told they couldn't find me in their computor. After the third bottle, I called again and told them the story and that I was going to call my credit card company and dispute the charge. They told me to send the bottle back and they would refund my money withing 10 business days. We'll see. I did report them to my credit company.
#17 - elaine rubinstein - 09/23/2008 - 20:24
You all are right. This is a scam. They just want your 89.00. How in the world can they bill you for something you didn't authorize. The terms are placed in a location where you would never think about clicking. They are unconcerned and just think how many people they actually scam on a daily and monthly basis.
#18 - Lucy - 09/24/2008 - 10:54
Got caught too
Wish I had seen this site before I signed up for the free sample. I also was charged $91.09 for the full bottle. I called the phone number posted on the bank credit card charge and got a quick answer on the second time I called. First time they never answered, just left me on hold. I also was told I could not return the bottle I had just received nor get a refund. I cancelled immediately.
#19 - Lisa - 09/24/2008 - 17:15
STUPID Extreme Acai Berry!!!!
Like many of you, i fell for the free bottle with payment of ONLY shipping and handling...and again, like most of you never saw the terms and conditions. that is of course because it is down at the VERY bottom of the website that which i might add has NO other links on it besides the "continue" with your purchase button, and "Terms and privacy policy" at the bottom! Once again, like other folks out there I have been charged the 4$ and 90$. I just went up to my bank today to see what action I should take considering I made my purchase on the 9th of sept. and still have yet to recieve even my trial bottle, it is now the 24th of sept. I was assured that I would recieve another free shipment for my time. I feel like its too late though. I might as well go ahead and cancel my card...ugh... can we report this anywhere?
#20 - kayla - 09/24/2008 - 23:27
oh no
Why didn't I find these websites before I ordered these stupid pills? I was on hold for only about 5 minutes. I was told I could cancel and get 1/2 my money back on the pills, but could not return them. Stupid Facebook where I found this stupid advertisement! Grrr!
#21 - Kristine - 09/25/2008 - 09:17
When I called, they told me I was ignorant!
I too was scammed by this company. I just happened upon my charge of $89.31, when I made a deposit into my account and had a negative balance. I called my bank and they told me of this charge. I told them it was unauthorized. The bank cancelled my credit card and issued me a new one, while also giving me the phone # of the company who did this. In calling the company, I told them I did not authorize this past the "free sample" and that I wanted my money back. The woman on the phone asked me if I saw the terms of agreement to call and cancel in 14 days. I told her I didn't. She proceded to tell me "have you ever heard that ignorance doesn't excuse you from a contract?" I said are you calling me ignorant? She didn't know what to say. I asked to speak with a supervisor and was put on hold. Guess what...I was disconnected. I called back and spoke with a supervisor and complained. I was told they would listen to the tapes and the person would be fired if what I was saying was true. I said I don't need her to be fired, I just want my money back. No money back, no product, out $90.00, and I didn't even use the sample after the first day. Still haven't gone forward with my credit card to dispute the charges--I am figuring it will take more energy and stress than I am willing to give right now. But, I am PISSED big time!!!!
#22 - Allison - 09/25/2008 - 16:57
I just recieved my "free" 14-day trial bottle of the Acai Supreme product a few days ago. I was sooo confident that I finally found an all natural supplement that could assist with my weight loss. However after reading these reveiws I am absolutly horrified. I only wanted the free trial anyways so I canceled the same day that I recieved the product. So far I have seen NO results from use of this product and I only have 2 weeks to make weight for Air Force Basic Training. This sucks. I've never fallen for thes scams before but since I desperatly needed to lose the weight for basic I guess I became a little blind and totally let my guards down. I hope this company gets shut down ASAP. And to all you weight loss fanatics...DON'T DO IT!!! Diet and exercise are the key. SCREW YOU ACAI BERRY SUPREME!!!!!

XoCai "Healthy Chocolate" network marketing scam
I just went to a network marketing meeting today about a product called XoCai. They promote it too be "healthy chocolate" due to the high anti-oxidant levels from(cocao)and the berry(acai). They claim it is going to help you loose weight and change your life due to the high levels of anti-oxidants! They show you a 13 minute presentation that goes into how "studies" have shown it's positive effects of patients with high blood pressure and weight loss! Yet, there is no valid "scientific" proof that this Xocai chocolate is anything but dark chocolate with acai in it! Oh yeah, they tell you that you can order a box of 100 chocolate squares and it's a 30 day supply....but, they don't mention that the box costs $110!!! $110 for a freaking box of chocolate!! Are you kidding me?? DO NOT FALL FOR THIS NETWORK MARKETING SCAM!! YES, IT IS A SCAM!! IF YOU WANT TO LOOSE WEIGHT..CUT DOWN YOUR CALORIES AND GET ON A TREADMILL FOLKS!
#24 - John - 09/27/2008 - 12:16
Thank you guys... I almost saved $90 because of all the reviews
These #$%#$@# acaiberry a#$@!^es dont care about peoples hard earned money... All they want to do is get your credit card information and give you some shit!!!
First of all this $#*% doesnt work and moreover when you try calling them to cancel, you have to wait for hours to get to a customer representative, It sucks. Waste of time & money...
I luckily read all the reviews after a few days during the free trial period and after calling those fuckheads couple of times, i finally cancelled the order so that the $90 billing wont recur on my account.
#25 - Frank - 09/29/2008 - 15:14
UGH
I cant believe I am such a sucker! I never order crap like this.

Not only will they not return my $$ or the product, I asked for a supervisor and got "someone" and he told me that I could not return the product nor would they ever!

I am going to report this to the Better Business Bureau for sure!

So frustrating isnt it!

#27 - MARIA - 10/02/2008 - 16:57
Lesson learned
Thankfully I searched for acai berry reviews BEFORE I ordered the free trial. I might suggest to all of you to go to wal-mart and pay the $8.95 for the greendot prepaid credit card.. I did after too many scammers kept pulling money from my account. I now sign up for an offer with my green dot card and if it turns out to be a legitimate offer, i change my payment method to my bank debit card. If I ever get myself in a situation like this, I can very easily cancel my green dot card and get another one.... It really is an easy way to safeguard your bank and credit card accounts...
#28 - Melissa - 10/03/2008 - 01:28
Thanks so much for the information about the extreme acai berry scam!!!
I am so happy that I saw your review for extreme acai berry. You just saved me $90. I signed up for the free trial but I also was mislead. It doesn\'t state anywhere that your credit card will be charged $90 after fourteen days. I was thinking of buying the product but once I learned about their scam I changed my mind. It also, doesn\'t state how much a month\'s supply costs. When I pointed out this to the customer service rep., he offered to extend my trial period. I declined for the above reasons. Thank you so much. Lisa S.

Uh oh....
I seemed to have found this site too late. Sure, I looked into this product 1st, a little, but didn't Google down the list enough. I ordered "Acai Berry Supreme" for $5.95 S/H, & it appears that I should be receiving it in another day (according to my USPS tracking). But I am very confused, cause I also submitted details to order a similar product, named differently, for $3.95 S/H. Well, that was about 2 wks ago & I saw those minimal S/H charges as "pending" on my VISA card. Now only the $3.95 charge went thru, supposedly charged for Acai Berry Supreme (the OTHER one, which originally had the $5.95 charge), which leads me to believe this is all the same company & it is a scam. I haven't received anything yet, nor has my credit card been charged for more than the S/H ... yet. I tried to call & cancel, but this company doesn't take calls on the weekend, if at all. But what really irks me is that when I originally ordered the "free trial," there was NO MENTION of any auto-bill program. I purposely searched for these hidden details on the bottom of the page & even printed up the page with the order details. Yet now when I go back to that site (& similar others), there IS the mention of this auto-bill stuff. I'm now going to call my VISA company to see if I can disallow the charges even before they happen, but I'm afraid I will just have to cancel this acct & have to get a new #. Inconvenience...

Cancel your card!!
Silly me, I read the reviews AFTER I had purshased the free trial. I never buy things like this online, but with all the celebrity reviews, it seemed like a good deal at the time. I called the customer care line FIRST thing the next morning. I kept getting a recording that told me the service hours and days of the week, no matter what time I called at. I then called my bank and reported them, and had my card shut down and ordered a new one with a different number on it. That seemed to be the only solution that would work. DO NOT ORDER THIS FREE TRIAL

THANK YOU SO MUCH
WOw...ya know, after all the PHen Phen crap years ago I decided to never use diet pills again and have always lost weight the good ol fashioned way, diet and exercise. But after quitting smoking I put on a some extra that I have really struggled to lose, and it's not as easy, with age, as it use to be either to lose weight. I came across Extreme Acai berry and thought hmmm..maybe I'll give it a try....UNTIL I GOT TO THIS WEBSITE! THank you soooo much! I can see now that it would have been a huge mistake to order this! But i did see the review on Lipovox. Is that a good one? More importantly, a safe one? What about for someone with low thyroid and taking Levoxyl for it?
#32 - M.C - 10/08/2008 - 14:23
Testamonial Scammer..
I found this woman or whoever it is promote Acai Berry by posting the following on yahoo answers about diets.

"I tried several different diet pills and workout plans after I gave birth to my second child. I struggled really bad with losing all the baby weight. One day I was watching Oprah and she had a show about weight loss. It was amazing. I ended up losing 44 lbs in 90 days. You can read about it on my blog. http://www.sarahsweightloss.info"

I went to that website and that was the only thing on there. The search window didn't even work! Talk about a scam in progress. Someone probably paid to have this person (that or the scammers are doing it themselves) repost the same answer on yahoo questions and answers to continue scamming people. I almost bought into it. I did my research before throwing away my money. Thank God.
#33 - Maryanna - 10/09/2008 - 00:31
I too was scammed, and called the 877 number to get a refund of the $90.00 charge, stating my dissatisfaction, was treated very rudely by the reprentative and then by her supervisor, I did cancel further shipments hopefully, these folks are so dirty even with the conf. number,I don't know if I can trust that.
I will report to BBB, suggesting DO NOT BUY exteme aciaberry, DO NOT call for the $3.95 scam. We need help!!!!

Extreme Rip Off
Well I usually am really careful about buying things on the internet and like many others didn't see any terms and conditions to the free trial. Free my arse! I am a firm believer in what you put out you get back! I am going to cancel my card to stop these butholes taking any more money. I am currently going through divorce and am watching every penny. I wonder how these people sleep at night? What a pain!!!!!!!!!!! I am also going to report them and waste my time filling out paperwork for fraudlent activity on my card. Don't buy this product!!! Lesson learned!!!!!
#35 - Naomi - 10/09/2008 - 23:42
Purely BS
I went to the site to see if i wanted to buy this product, because i am 24 years old and have had 4 kids and thought ooh famous folks are using it it must be good. thank god i decided to look into the company/product. one of the sights even has a RachelRay clip where she's drinking the Acai berry juice talking about health benefits...funny thing is it said NOTHING about weight loss. It's horrible that people take advantage of hard working americans, as if gas prices and our current president isn't digging us in deep enough. these people are crooked. they should put their marketing skills to good use and help people. But then again if you think about the Law of 3...Kharma will get 3 times what they got everyone else.
#36 - jerica - 10/10/2008 - 02:37
I believe that Iam a victom of this scam also; i have been trying to reach them every day for a week since i received a 30 day supply of extreme AcaiBerry in the mail that I didnt order. Also there was money automated drawn from my account that i was not aware of until I happen to do a balance inquiry. I hope that these people are caught and prosecuted.
#37 - llali2006@yahoo.com - 10/11/2008 - 01:28
Thank you!!
I've been researching the acai berry and wanted to try it. THANK GOD I read this site before I ordered ANYTHING!

Guess I'll stick with plain ol' healthy eating instead of risking money and headaches with companies who CHEAT the public..

Good luck to all who you believed these @ssholes. I hope you get your money back and THEY get what they deserve!!
#38 - dena - 10/12/2008 - 07:05
I don't know what website you all went to...
On the website I saw for the free trial of Extreme Acai Berry, the fine print was on the same page where you enter your credit card info.. I saw it before I put in any of my info and decided to look around and see if I could get the product cheaper somewhere else. I guess none of you have ordered free trials before, honestly I haven't either, but I always read the fine print on the offer (and if there isn't one, I would be cautious and research before I buy it). Even magazines send you a free trial and then charge you for not calling to cancel your membership. They're not the first one's to do this so I don't see why so many people were surprised by getting the charges (beside the fact that it costs $90)...
#39 - Lisa - 10/12/2008 - 13:45
So Desperate
Well, I am/was so desperate to have something to jumpstart my weightloss(diabetic and tired all the time, too tired to get out and walk and I work 24/7) that I did the extreme acai berry thing. I x'd out of the original window when i saw the shipping was like $4.95. Then there was a pop-up that offered the shipping for $1. I said ok, because my prepaid mastercard had $1.50 on it. I was charged and got the product. Took it today for the first time and have been potty (#2) FOUR TIMES! LOL! Wondering if I'll lose the weight that way. I guess I'll keep using it, cause it sure is cleansing me, but I'm curious to see if they will try to charge the prepaid card.....will they send it to me even if it won't let it go through??? and then bill me??? Hmmm.. I guess we will see. Good luck everyone and to the person who said to use the greendot card....good way to go. I got mine at a Fred's dollar store and it's a mastercard, they also have the visa's too. That way...unless you load a BUNCH of money on it, no one can charge you. I only load it when I know I'm getting something that day. Thanks, Roxanne
#40 - Roxanne - 10/12/2008 - 17:06
OMG! I was scammed too because like the rest of you, I am a complete idiot! I SHOULD have read the fine print, which is on every "trial" offer! And that stupid telemarketer, even though he is just some kid, reading a script, working part time to make, what, 7 bucks an hour, didn't even know what he was talking about! Like, I am so glad I'm, like, not the only one oblivious to these tactics!
#41 - Marie! - 10/14/2008 - 00:30
Acai scams
I also placed my free trial order. I went to order from Acai berry Supreme and changed my mind, because it never staattted what the continuing fee would be. So I closed the page. I did not hit submit to athorize my order. But the charges appeared on my account as pending. So I sent an e-mail staating this and asking for my money back. The charges went away, but now I've recieved a 30 day supply and a bottle of Colon cleansing that I never ordered. When I called yesterday I got a machine saying they were closed. Today I call and it automatically hangs up.
If anyone has a different # for them, please let me kow.

Phew~ Just in time!
I wish I had found this site before ordering. Thank goodness the end of my 14 trial period is 2 days away. I called the 877 number and was on hold for 24 minutes like the recording said in the beginning. It did take a few busy signals before I got connected though. The man on the other line was professional. He suggested that I try the bottle first and he'll extend the trial period another 2 weeks. I said I would rather cancel now. He went ahead with the cancellation and gave me a cancellation number. To be sure I don't get charged in the future, I also canceled my credit card.
#43 - Sean - 10/14/2008 - 14:35
Pissed off
Please contact the BBB regarding all complaints. They will continue to trick others unless enough complaints are made. Here is the real phone number for those who can not get through with the number listed on the bottle.1-877-859-1105 is the correct number.
#44 - Amanda - 10/15/2008 - 16:06
I fell for the FREE TRIAL scam and entered my credit card info. I received the free bottle and tried the pills but couldn't tell they did anything at all. Next thing I know there's a $89.31 charge on my credit card! I called my credit card company to ask about the charge which had the description "IP-30DAYSLIM", and they game me a phone number to call 877-361-8604. I called the number numerous times and was placed on hold forever. Finally someone answered and I told them I wanted to cancel and get a refund. She stated I had 14 days to call and cancel and it was past the time period. I asked to speak to a supervisor and a man named Owen came on the phone and gave me a cancellation number and told me he could stop the shipment and process a refund to my credit card and it should show up in 5-7 days on my credit card account. So we will see whether this happens or not. In the meantime, I filed a fraudulent charge complaint with my credit card company, and I also plan to file a complaint with the Better Business Bureau as well.
#45 - Paula - 10/16/2008 - 14:00
my mom just got scammed
my mom has been trying to drop 15 lbs. FOR HER HEALTH. The trial was a meltaway tablet the 2nd bottle had no directions but she said it tasted bad. She didn't know why they sent her a different product so i googled it. This is the site that came up. My mom is a senior citizen. She has lost alot of weight and just wants to be more healthy. It makes me so mad they started telling her about the 14 day trial and that she should just stop complaining. She was charged and that's the way it is. It sounds like a 2 man operation. She feels helpless and started crying when I told her there's not much we can do other than report it to BBB and tell everyone we know to stay away from these scams and be more careful. I am outraged that these people are getting away with this and I think there should be some bigger grievence filed. I will pursue whatever action I can to shame these people.

Extreme Acai Berry
I also fell for the "trial." Less than a week after the trial came, I received the 60 pill bottle. Nothing was with the bottle stating that, or how much, I was being charged, and I had no address to inquire. I've tried numerous times to get a phone call through to the company, at the phone number on the bottle. Nothing about either the S & H charge or the $89.31 charge indicated any company name I could associate with the acai. I did call about PriceLimbo, not realizing it was the acai company, and the customer service man said he'd remove the charges and take me off the automatic list, but it was on the bill I received today, and the $89.31, from UT appeared for the first time as YOUR VIP FIT. They show the same phone number. When I called my Chase card I was told that another $89.31 charge has already appeared, listed this time as Search Vitamins. The same phone number is listed for the two charges on the bill (PriceLimbo.com and YOUR VIP FIT). I assume the Search Vitamins charge Chase told me about is for the same rip-off.

Extreme Acai Berry
I tried to order this "free" 14 day trial and, at first, I didn't want to order it, but then when I proceeded to exit off the webpage, a box popped up insisting they will just charge me $1 for shipping. So I couldn't pass that up. I paid the $1, but I have got my product.

PLUS! My card has been charged for a utility bill that I haven't authorized for $250 for a company I don't have utilities with. I have been doing online shopping and bill paying for a year and haven't had a problem with fraud until I gave my card number to the extremeacaiberry.com...So my bank is sending me a new card with a new number...

This is a SCAM! I'm reporting them to the BBB, too.

Any comeback? Replies appreciated!
Hi Guys,

I was just wondering if there is any comeback from the scamming scumbag company if you just cancel your credit card?
The reason I ask is that I have 13 days left of my so called trial period, and have phoned the company twice so far, both times have been fobbed off as apparently my details aren't recognised on their system so affectively they can't cancel my subsription...I've now written to them stating I wish to cancel, I'm in the UK so the letter won't hit til a week and its costing me a fortune to keep ringing. I've spoken to my CC company who have told me cancelling my card makes no odds to the fact that I have a contract out with this company, until I contact them and cancel...I know damn well the letter won't do anything, and callin them is useless.....do I wait for the inevitable $90 to be taken out of my account before my CC do anything about it or do I cancel my card....if so, is there any comeback from Acaiberry?.....do they continue to chase you even when the card has been cancelled...PLEASE HELP with any similar situations, dunno whether to follow CC claims proceedings or risk getting bad credit ratings or/and being chased by this company?

Thanks x

This is not a Scam!!! Works weel!
I've been using this product for awhile now. Almost done with my first full bottle. I've lost inches and bloat in my stomach and it suppresses my appetite. Also my skin is radiant. There's no hidden information, it' all right there for you to read. I dont get all the negative reviews, so far the product works and is worth the money.
#50 - Trysomethingonce - 10/19/2008 - 02:22
scam
I also fell for this. I guess because the product was talked about by Dr Oz and Oprah it was a reputible product. I tried calling all day on saturday to cancel my order and nobody ever answered the phone even tho they said their hours should have been. Now on Monday I've tried calling and their line is busy. If I cannot get through to them, I'm going to my bank and I'm cancelling my debit/credit card and telling the bank that this compay will be trying to take money out and they need to be reported for a unauthorized transaction.

Painful Lesson
I just had to cancel my bank card to make sure this outfit doesn't get to my account again. I am definitely contacting the Better Business Bureau. I searched for the "gimmick" and couln't catch it my first time around. I never buy those trial offers because I never return them in time! I just revisited the website, and the terms are very well hidden. I feel fleeced!!!!!

Waiting
I ordered acai berry supreme 10/9 and still haven't received anything for their trial offer. I got scarred and tried to call to cancel the 877-361-8604 number. Hangs up. and can't get thru. I called my credit card and told them about it. So they are aware. my trial is up on10-24 and haven't received anything but can't reach anyone to cancel.

I wish i would have found this site sooner. My cc said that i am protected against these scams and they do call me if there is a question on my bill (they have called me before) and if they do try to charge me that the cc would call me.

If you ordered this product call your cc now and tell them about the scam!

I never saw the disclaimer and now any number I try to call is busy, There is no way to get through, I tried the 411 website and there is no company listing for the numbers, also, the address comes up as Subway restaurant.NICE!!!! Dumb*** me cannot remember if I used my bank card or a credit card and which credit card at that!! Looks like this company is turning a nice profit
This is a scam alright, and from all the review here, it appears to be very sucessful.

The only way to get out of this is to cancel your card. If the credit card company will not take the charge off of your bill. DUMP THEM TOO. They need you a lot more than you need them.

Pain in the A**
This is so unbelievable that someone can do this and get away with it. I just had to go to the bank and cancel my card because all the phone numbers they tell you to call...well no one will ever answer!!! This is just crazy. These people need to be reported.

Scam-Ripoff-Do not do this
I ordered this yesterday and no i did not read the fine print. Have tried to call three different numbers and no one answers or it hangs up. Called my debit card, cancelled and blocked any further charges. These people are scam artists...do not buy this product. I will call the better business bureau and report them.
#64 - Janice Baxley - 10/24/2008 - 13:38
Add another sucker to your list...they are the biggest scam!
>-(

I just got off the phone with the company your suppose to be able to call and cancel within 14 days. Like many of you, so not true. I received the free trial on day 13, started calling the number on the paper and only got a fast busy signal. I tried every day for a week, and then today I called my bank and cancelled my card and made sure they could not take any more money. The bank person tried to call three different numbers she had listed for the company and guess what...no getting through. As we are about to get off the phone, she decides to try one more time and we then get through. Now we sit with horribly loud music forever while waiting for someone to answer. She decided to jump off, due to how long it was taking and I stay on the phone. Finally someone answered. I told him everything and said I wanted to cancel and wanted my money back and he said no. He said you cannot have your money back becuase I did not call within the 14 days. I told him I tried to but theya re running a scam business and no one can get through. Not even my bank.

I am now calling the BBB and getting them involved. Be sure you do not ever buy any product from them....they sell many and if you do, report the fraud they are committing. THIS IS A HORRIBLE REPRESENTATION OF OUR WORLD!
#65 - Jennifer - 10/24/2008 - 14:11
Major Scam!!
I just bought the free trial bottle last saturday for $1 S&H. Unfortunately I didn't see this site before I purchased it. I was mainly interested in it's claims of helping to reduce cholesterol levels and improve energy. Boy am I a sucker! Normally I don't fall for scams like this. I thought it would be a good product since it was featured on Rachel Ray and Oprah. Since I found this site I have been trying to contact the company to cancel...of course no luck. I either get automatically hung up on or a bad number message, and I'm calling within their hours of operation. I have read all the reviews on here and noticed that there are several different contact numbers listed...:

1-801-208-7490
1-877-361-8604
1-801-208-7485
1-866-938-4832
1-877-350-8480

A couple of these numbers I got from different websites for extreme acaiberry. I also got the address of the company off of one of the websites and did a reverse address lookup and the address was listed for Subway!!

4650 SW 51st St. Suite 711
Davie, FL 33314

I am just going to cancel my credit card and hopefully that will be the end of it. I'm not having any luck getting in touch with them. I checked my card today and so far it just has the $1 charge on it. Lesson learned. I certainly don't advise anyone to purchase this product! I also think that someone should contact the celebrities that they are using to promote their scam and let them know about it. I'm sure they wouldn't want to be linked to this in any way!
#66 - Catherine - 10/24/2008 - 14:20
Here's How to Get Out of the Scam!!
I was finally able to get through, surprisingly the people on the other line were pleasant. I called the 1-801-208-7490 number again and I only had to wait about 5 Minutes to get someone. I spoke with a person named Krizel and she informed me that not only do they enroll people in Extreme Acaiberry monthly, but they also enroll people in PriceLimbo and Fit Factory. It's a package deal with the $1 special. I was able to cancel the acaiberry and Pricelimbo through Krizel on the phone, and she gave me the number for FitFactory to cancel with them. The number is 1-866-407-1022. I spoke with a person named O'Bryan (I'm guessing they are just using their last names) at Fit Factory. Luckily I called within the trial period to cancel, otherwise all the charges for enrolling with them would be placed on my card. For the Price limbo, the acaiberry company will send you an e-mail with a link that you have to click on in order to cancel with them. Also be sure to get your cancellation codes from all three companies. According to Krizel at acaiberry and O'Bryan at Fit Factory, those three companies are the only ones that you would be enrolled in if you placed an order. I hope this helps!
#67 - Catherine - 10/24/2008 - 14:50
cancelled today
for those of you that couldn't get through... try this number- 1-801-208-7485. I was told that everything was cancelled out and have only been billed (so far) for the shipping of the free trial. Keep you posted if they charge me anyway...:-[]
#68 - Jess - 10/24/2008 - 15:16
Eeegad!! What a rip off!!
>-( Well, guess I get to join the club of "suckers" out there. We're all in good company. I found this ad on Facebook...should have known from there...and thought it looked like a good product. Rachael Ray is shown on the screen along with several other icons of credibility.

I have tried to call the number on the bottle and the number on the small piece of paper that accompanied the bottle shipped to me for "eight nine dollars and thirty one cents", and the numbers are do not work. They don't put the price in number form because they know that once you see the price, you will choke.

How do I get the automatic shipments to stop?

I just now saw this site, and I an right there with everyone else! I fell for this bullshit hook, line, and sinker and I feel like an idiot! Also, I have tried calling every number here and the one listed on their site and not one of them has worked! How are you supposed to cancel the order if you cannot get in touch with anyone? I don't see how that can be legal?! Anyway, if anyone knows a good number for them please forward it to me so that I can get a hold of these thieves and cancel this order! Thanks!

The numbers to call to cancel change all the time. The one I was given when I ordered was disconnected. When I went to the site there was a different number, I called it and it was a car dealership. I would stay away from orderng this product!

VISA wont do a thing
The business at this site operates a negative marketing program for Acai Berry and HYDRO Extreme beauty cream (maybe more). The Terms and Conditions (small print) put you into automatic billing and will occur BEFORE your first Free Trial shipment. These T&C also let them transfer your contact info to whomever they please. In fact, you can be billed for product from an associate company. The contact phone numbers DO NOT connect, so you are relegated to sending a Registered Mail cancellation, while the billing continues. VISA and MasterCharge cannot help you as the T&C form a contract. You are stuck with the charges.
This company is a SCAM outfit for which we need stronger consumer protection. Cancelling a credit card is not equitable recourse.

NOT JUST scamming, but selling CC info as well!
Signed up for this a week ago, still no product. Saw on PayPal today that there was some charge on there to a "FIT FACTORY" out of Utah, for $29.95. Called them up asking who they were (they just answered as "customer service"). They gave me the run around for 20 MINUTES! ARGUING with me that I authorized this charge. So I ask them what is it for? THey tell me it's for online fitness training, and that I signed up for it when ordering AcaiBerry 500. I even double-checked their site, NO WHERE does it say ANYTHING about this. TOTAL SCAM. I had to cancel my PayPal business debit as well.

Still no Acai Berry. Guess the weight loss comes from stressing out, worrying how much will be charged on your card when you wake up in the morning!

Called the FLorida BBB after going back to the Acai Berry site to cancel after learning about them giving my info to this other co. (which is probably all the same people), looked up the #, doesn't work. Found a different number in their privacy statement, didn't work.

Still don't know why they're on MST if they're in FLA??????

SCAM! These people should have criminal charges brought against them!

The only people on here saying it's authentic and such are probably those same people!

Really Scared Now!!!
I just ordered this on Friday, October 17, 2008 at about 10am. They said all orders placed before 1PM EST will be shipped the same day. No shipping on Sat-Sun. I was given an estimated shipping arrival time of Oct 22nd. It is Oct 24th and I have not received anything in the mail. I called the 800# and they are closed and won't be open until Monday.

I want to cancel. They can keep the $5.95 for S&H and the pills. I do not want to be charged for something I'm not sure will work in 14 days as the body won't have time to adjust.

I think it's really sad that they have screwed so many people over. My bank does stop payments on debits for up to a year so I should be able to ward off being charged the initial time since I have their info from the S&H charge.

If I don't get someone on Monday then I will call my bank and block them. They've already lied about when I'd receive the shipment. Secondly, I've received only one email from them that the order was processed, no shipped email. So, there is fishiness already that makes me believe this is all a scam.

I hope more people read this site before purchasing. The only difference in the site I used from seemingly everyone else is that my S&H charge was more and the trial is for 30-Days and not 14-Days.

But, someone listed the site I used "Acai Berry Review" and another person read which links were ONLY available on that site which I found to be weird as well.

You don't have to worry about me doing anymore free trials. This is craziness. Lesson learned.

Another Victim
We are also victims of this scam. What burns me most is Rachal Ray was used to promote it in the ad. I wonder if they really had permission to use her likeness. I will be contacting the Attorney Generals office in FL, Food Network and Rachal Rays Company. Care to join me? The BBB is a good idea also. Thanks to all who suggested that.

Extrene Acai Berry free trial
I ordered the freet trial on 10/22 it arrived 10/23. I've been trying to cancel this using the number given...which is busy or does not go through. I've been trying ever 1/2 hour for 2 days. Finally I got a message that the number is changed and to get the new number I'll be charged $5. I can get it free using another number, but when I give the company name...I don't get the corret number, some kind of a credit company. Anyway, this is the week end and in order to get rid of this charge I cancelling the credit card number on Monday........
#77 - Dottie - 10/25/2008 - 07:18
I so embarrassed!!
Yes, I am another who got scammed! If you do not call them within 14 days of ordering, they gotcha!! If you believe you will get your "free" sample during the trial period, think again. They mail out the "free" sample and the first subscription bottle at the same time, neither to arrive within the 14 day trial period. Does anyone know of a good hacker who can take their website down with a nasty virus??
#78 - Downtown - 10/25/2008 - 10:05
I too have been scammed by extreme acai. never thought it would happen to me! got 2 different phone messages when i tried to call and cancel. after reading other reviews, i called my credit card co. it was explained if i report my card lost or stolen my current benefits, including travel reward points, will remain the same. but i will receive a new cc card w/ a new number. also be sure to dispute the charges. even if your case is not successful, enough disputes will eventually put these slimeballs out of 'business'.
#79 - Andy - 10/25/2008 - 10:58
Impossible to cancel
I tried this deal as part of a product review for a survey site. The site DOES inform you that you will be billed if you don't cancel within 14 days, however, the phone number they give you to call DOES NOT WORK! I tried calling on Day 11 and Day 12 to cancel, both days the number was busy (HELLO? A toll free number that's ALWAYS busy?! I knew something was up). On day 13, I called and was told my call could not be completed as dialed, so I called my CC company and told them the situation. They agreed to put a cancellation date starting the day I first tried to call the company, and to stop further charges since I could not cancel the product myself. THANK GOD!

Acai Pure, Extreme Acai Berry
:-(
I fell for 2 of these frauds from the same top level website using two different credit cards. This was from the top level website acaitop3.com. The two companies pulling different but similar frauds were AcaiPure and Extreme Acai Berry. My story is similar to the other Acai complaints on this website. My cards were with 2 different banks: BofA, and American Express (AMEX). BofA is unsympathetic and is making me complain in writing. AMEX immediately handled my complaint by message and phone. I asked both banks not to accept any more charges from the merchant. In both cases I complained to the merchant by phone and email, and in one case their web site. I filed a fraud claim with the FBI. With AMEX, the merchant made another charge 8 days after receiving AMEX's inquiry. They escalated my complaint to FRAUD, and are issuing a new card.
To include me in the class action suit email:

Gotdamn Shame
I too, like the rest of you guys, have been scammed. I ordered this shit Friday 10/24/08, and today is 10/26/08. I am glad I ran across this site. I just called my bank and cancelled my credit card. Before this shit can even go down. The Acai Berry trial was $5.95. I changed my mind, but when i tried to exit the screen, a box popped up and said "we'll give you shipping and handling for only a $1.00" I'm like a "a dollar?!" so of course, my dumb ass felt like I couldn't pass it up! And i ordered this colon cleanser stuff from this other site, now I'm starting to think they might be under the same scamming thing. I called my bank, explained the scam to them. They have marked my card damaged. I believe the only way to gt out of this is too cancel your credit card. So I canceled mine. I'm not fucked up about the $7.00 shipping and handling charge they can have that. But I'll be damnned if I let a motherfucker deduct $90.91 outta my account without my permission. I said I'm fina nip this in the bud now. After reading these reviews, after hearing about the unanswered calls, I didn't even try calling these assholes. I just called my bank and shut the card off.
#83 - Tiffany - 10/26/2008 - 14:27
Me too!
Another sad story! I received my trial bottle late in day on 10/25- now have less than 4 full days to try it and then cancel if needed, prior to them charging my credit card. I decided I should cancel this morning since I have also read all of the preceding entries. The line is contantly busy or I receive a message that the call cannot be completed as dialed and to try again. I finally called the operator to check the line, who referred me to Integra Telecom, 866-419-4683, the company that apparently is responsible for the toll-free number assigned to the scam artists! A rep there told me they have been having "problems" with the company (Online Health) assigned to 877-350-8480. When I probed a bit, it seems these are "business" problems vs. technology problems. The rep told me the company has so many people trying to reach them that it is bumping other calls. I therefore called my credit card company to see what can be done in advance of my card being charged and me not being able to reach them. They told me they will add a note to my account so if my card is charged in the interim, they (the CC company) will do follow-up with the scammers..good luck to all of them!
#84 - Janis - 10/27/2008 - 15:05
YES...THE COMPANY IS A SCAM!!!
I did read the "fine print". I'm still within the "14 day cancelation period" but CAN NOT get a hold of the company.

I've called aleast 50 times (not exzagerating)and I can't get through. I've tried: 877-350-8480, 801-208-7485, 877-350-8515, 877-859-1105, 877-361-8604, and 801-208-7490.

I haven't received the "trail" yet but my CC has been charged. I've contacted my CC company, cancelled my CC, disputed the charge and started a fraud investigation.

Even if you "read the fine print" you can't get through to the company to cancel because they don't or won't answer their phones...note there are MANY phone numbers that are going unanswered.

#'s to call
Hey all,
So I have spent all day trying to "cancel" my order. Thank God for redial. Anyhow, I called a ton of #'s and finally got to someone at this #: 877 350 8480. HOWEVER, I had to call like 15 times until I got through. ALso, I was on hold for about 20 minutes. Don't give up if you are on hold. Just stay on. if that number doesnt work try these #'s. I didn't have to sue these numbers because I did eventually get through with the other, but here they are:

801-208-7490
877-859-1109

GOOD LUCK

P.S. Even if you do cancel, make sure to get the confirmation # and I would also cancel your credit card and get a new one.
#86 - somebody - 10/27/2008 - 17:00
this is crap!
So, I'm one to check everything before buying and rarely buy anything online... but that $1 S&H deal was something that got me curious and got it... STUPID move!! I've been trying to call to cancel but have gotten no where. I've tried various number (877-350-8480, 877-361-8604, 801-208-7490, 801-208-7485...) and NOTHING WORKS!!! I'm either on-hold forever, it's disconnected, or there's a constant busy signal. there's no available email or other contact info to cancel my order. I've been trying to cancel for about a week now... still have gotten nowhere!!! I've cancelled the card number I gave them and reported them to my bank... hopefully it ends it!!! (oh, yeah... I haven't even gotten the product!!)
#87 - Lindsay - 10/27/2008 - 17:31
i read the fine print..
i saw the fine print literally right after i submitted the order...i've been on the phone all day trying to get a hold of them and it's impossible. as i write this i am on hold with my bank cancelling my credit card. what a pain!!!
#88 - Laura - 10/27/2008 - 17:45
Someone Needs To Stop Them
Major, major rip off, and should be an embarrassment to the vitamin industry. I lost $89.00, and can't return product, or get hold of anyone on their phone! CANCEL your credit card, that's all you can do! I wish that company was closer, I'd visit them in person. Companies like this give Internet ordering a very bad name.
#89 - Scott - 10/28/2008 - 00:28
Rip off! 2
Telephone number does not work for you to cancel order and had the same problem as Cheryl #51:I just found my visa was charged $89.31 all I asked for was the trial bottle and was to only pay for shipping and handling!! Anyone know where I can complain? I hope my CC company can reverse this. What a rip I have so many charges since I ordered the "Trial" bottle omg!!
#90 - Brigido Fonts - 10/28/2008 - 00:46
Know your credit rights
#50 is absolutely right. If you have a credit card company that won't work with you on handling bad-faith merchants, DUMP THE CREDIT CARD. Who ever the merchant is, whether it's online, local or unknown to me, I make contact the best I can. If I can't resolve my issue, can't find a contact method, I call the credit card company. But I don't EVER call the credit card company to say "what should I do?" I call to tell them 1) what I have done and 2) what I am going to do. Then I follow it up with a letter.

Extreme Acaiberry
This is a scam I read the Terms but thought okay it will be here in 4 to 6 days. I still have time to try it and cancel if I don't want it. Well it is 12 Days and still no product. I decided to cancel and while I was on hold I found this site. Well I got it cancelled it took me several calls and hang ups and 25 min on hold but, finally got through. Not only did I get charged for the product I got charged for a internet service called fit factory for $29.00. I called them and cancelled too and the lady said that when you get the extreme Acaiberry u are signed up for it to automatically. I didn't see it anywhere on my terms but, it could have been there. So, I am cancelling my credit card and reporting them to the bbb. Beware!!!

Yep they got me too. Does anyone have a viable physical address for this company? The 877 number on my bank statement was listed as being in Utah.

I would truly love to pay them a visit in person with the proper authorities in tow... or not.
#94 - Robert - 10/28/2008 - 11:20
ALWAYS RESEARCH BEFORE YOU ORDER
i WISH i had read all these review before I got suckered into this free trial of acai berry diet pills. today is my 14th day to cancel before they start charging me $90 a month, and I've been trying to call this stupid 877 number for 3 days. Finally I just called my bank & got a supervisor on the phone & explained the situation & said I want to head this off at the pass & do something BEFORE they can start ripping me off. Basically, I'm having to cancel my card & start all over with a new one...
#95 - Jennifer - 10/28/2008 - 12:28
I also got scammed by this! i just realized today that it was a scam. i found another website that explained the scam, and i immeadiatly called my dad. he gave me the number to a guy who works at my bank and i told him about all this, he cancelled my debit card as soon as i hung up the phone. so now i have to get a whole new debit card. i hope i did not get billed for the 89 bucks, but if so i'm sure i can get it reversed. I CANT BELIEVE I FELL FOR THIS!

Extreme Acai Scam and they sell your info!
Extreme Acai Berry is so hard to contact! I\'m not out of my 14 days yet, and after receiving the product just yesterday (after order placement on the 15th, shipped on the 22nd, received on the 27th!) I was receiving so many 1 866-379-2003 number phone calls. I finally answer about 8 pm and it was a company saying I had made a purchase from another site and they gave them my info as a preferred customer. They said they\'d be sending me a package in the mail with free gas vouchers and a membership of discounts and coupons.

I told them I had no interest in such things and didn\'t appreciate someone giving out my information without my approval. It does NOT state in the Terms that they give out your info. This company, \"membership services\" they call themselves, says they work for several companies and that if I don\'t cancel THEIR subscription that I\'ll receive in 2 wks, I\'ll be charged 19.95 a month. The lady was rude and pushy and sent me to their verification department to a guy who wanted my date of birth. When I said it wasn\'t necessary bc I was canceling and wanted a customer service number, he rudely gave me the number and hung up.

I called this number (1800-475-1942) and was told I wasn\'t in the system and had to wait 3-5 days before I could cancel with them. When I found this site, I called them again and this time the lady asked for my debit card number in order to see which company referred me to them!! Insane!

Then I called the number on the free trial bottle for Fullfillment in Davie, Fl and of course we all know what that was. On hold after an automated message or disconnected. Finally I just called my bank and made them aware of what was going on and that I was uncomfortable with the situation and had my account closed and reopened under a new account.

I haven\'t been charged 89.00 yet, bc my trial is technical not over until tomorrow. But I\'m glad I caught wind of this when I did! Had that lady not called me for her company late last night, I would\'ve been caught up in a mess! The number for the acai supp I called was 1801-208-7485.
#97 - A. - 10/28/2008 - 13:46
Telephone numbers don't work anymore!
Now you can't even get through to anybody... the telephone numbers are disconnected, or it rings for a while then you get a dial tone.
#98 - Melanie - 10/28/2008 - 14:38
It is OUTRAGEOUS!!!!

Here is my suggestions if you get taken by these bozos:

(1) go on line and email a complaint to your state attorney general;

(2) email a complaint to generalmanager@domainsbyproxy.com. They hold the "domain name" for this crew and tell them what you think of this operation. Demand a refund from them.

3. Complain to the fulfillent center that sent you this crud by writing them at 4650 SW 51st St Bay 711, Davie Fl. 33314. And tell them you'll hold them responsible if they don't cancel. Then write a letter to your state atty general about the fulfillment center.

Extreme AcaiBerry
I, too, was caught up in the AcaiBerry scam. I simply looked at the product on line and was inclined to order the trial package. I changed my mind and thought that was that.
Much to my surprise, the sample came in the mail a few days ago.
I had a WHOLE lot of trouble getting through on the number they provided on the enclosed sheet: 1-877-350-8480 (actually you don't need to dial the "1" anymore and oddly enough that's when I got through). The customer service rep was very nice (and very young-sounding). I got a cancellation # from her and an e-mail address: Customerservice@nubodi.com (hope it works!) and a mailing address: Nubodi, 4650 SW 51st St., Davie, FL 33314 (hope I don't have to use it. My credit card company (Citibank) said there is nothing they can do unless or until a charge appears and I can dispute it. I'll wait and see what happens. I too, wish I had seen this forum before I even looked at the product online.

NO ANSWER
I also just like everyone else on this site bought the 14 day trial offer online. I read the terms & conditions a few days later and realized they would charge my card if I didn't cancel within 14 days. So about 5 days after ordering the product I call the number on the terms and conditions to cancel and the number wouldn't work. Sometimes it would say all lines were busy...other times an operator would come on and say there going to connect you than disconnect you...and other times the number didn't work at all! I got freaked, I realized I was being scammed so I contacted my creditcard company which tried to call the number and also realized it was disconnect. I ended up getting charged $90.00 and contacted my credit card company which than reimbursed me and sent the charge bank to their bank. I now need to change my credit card account just to get these charges out of my life...I can't even get ahold of them!!!! WHAT A SCAM! I've took the product for only a day I bet that a bunch a bull too!!!
#101 - Lili - 10/28/2008 - 17:31
Shady Deal
Since this sounded too good to be true, I made sure I read all the terms. I knew that if I didnt cancel by the 14th day, my card would be charged. I didnt receive my trial after 11 days, so I started calling. Could never get anyone to answer. The first couple of times that I tried, I thought someone would actually pick up but didnt. Then I couldnt get the call to go through at all so I went to my bank and cancelled my card before they could get the $90 out of me. I finally got my trial today and I havent taken any yet but after seeing how everyone is having the same experience that I have had, I'm glad I cancelled my card. If this pills actually work
