Metabolife Green Tea: Good idea But is Metabolife Green Tea a Mediocre Product?

Metabolife Green Tea - Metabolife wants desperately to be the leader of the weight loss market. After the relative success of their earlier products, they have flooded their website with newer, trendier solutions for weight loss. But most of these new products just seem like they are cheaper rip-offs of other products.
There are great weight loss products on the web, years of research and development have gone into these products and they have been clinically proven to help people shed those unwanted pounds. What Metabolife has done, is take those ideas and recycle them into quickly produced, sub-standard products.
Metabolife Green Tea is one of those products and it is not worth your time or money.
Green Tea:
Green tea has been used for centuries as a remedy for all sorts of ailments, and only recently has it been implemented in weight loss pills. Does it work? Yes, green tea really can have an effect on your weight loss. What it does is stimulate your metabolism and it speeds it up. Green tea contains compounds called catechins; it is these catechins that work the little miracles that green tea is supposedly responsible for. The particular catechin that is responsible for weight loss is called EGCG. There is very little of this catechin in green tea, so when you are shopping for a green tea product, you should pay more attention to how much green tea is in the product, not just if it contains green tea at all. Well, Metabolife Green Tea has a proprietary blend of 1032 mg but that blend contains four ingredients. Green tea has been shown to be effective for weight loss when there is at least 800 mg of green tea in each serving. Is there that much in Metabolife Green Tea? It is doubtful. So pretty much, your guess is as good as mine. But I do not like to play the guessing game when it comes to my money and I would much rather use a product that I know will work.
Caffeine:
Metabolife products also have another large downfall; most of them are loaded with caffeine! Just one pill equates to almost two cups of coffee and that is too much! Your body naturally extracts energy from food and even air and it does not deal well with such large amounts of stimulants. I do not even understand why they put such large amounts of caffeine in Metabolife Green Tea. Green tea already contains caffeine and the added caffeine is just adding insult to injury. Not to mention, green tea affects your metabolism and not your appetite. When using a product that affects appetite, sometimes you need some extra stimulants because you are not eating as much food as you normally would. But green tea does not affect appetite and you do not need that much caffeine
Metabolife Green Tea Conclusion:
There are some really good green tea weight loss products out there. But Metabolife Green Tea is a rushed, sub-par product that will probably do very little to help you with your weight problem.
