Apart from being bombarded from outrageous and probably overstated claims made on their website, Phenocal is actually a good diet pill. I like the blend of ingredients used and it actually shows some promise and may help you lose a little bit of weight.
There were "Clinical Studies" done on 4 of Phenocal's ingredients - Hoodia, Green Tea, 5-HTP and Glucomannan. This is a trick used often in diet pill marketing. You see there were no studies done on the effectiveness on Phenocal, only on a few of its ingredients.
Hoodia is good, but it is really cheap and needs to be taken at high doses. What Phenocal failed to mention was that the amounts of these clinically tested ingredients administered in the trials were almost 10 times the amount that you get in 1 serving of Phenocal. This means that you most likely will not see any of the results stated in the clinical study - unless you are crazy enough to take 10 times the serving size. Very unsafe and very expensive.
