SyberVision's Top Rated Diet Pill of 2015
Are there diet pills that we do like? Yes - quite a few actually. When we rate diet pills we look at a variety of factors including: ingredients, customer feedback (which is why we allow you to post your reviews) and the satisfaction guarantee (if there is one). There are a few diet pills that have received extremely high marks across the board, and our favorite is Abidexin. You can go to the official site here.

Alli Diet Pill

Alli - Is Alli the "Ultimate Diet Pill"?

Alli is all the rage these days. You may have heard the rumors that the FDA has decided to allow GlaxoSmithKline's weight-loss drug, "Alli" to be sold OTC (over the counter—without a prescription). After reviewing a study which revealed that Alli is capable of helping people lose 1 pound per month (woop dee doo), the drug is now legal.

How does the Alli Diet Pill Work?

Just as Xenical, Alli contains a drug called “Orlistat.” In really simple terms, orlistat absorbs the fat from foods you eat every day, from fast food to ice cream. There are two ironies with such a wonder drug:

1- If you already eat healthy, Alli will block your healthy fats such as omega-fatty-acids and Vitamin D.
2- If you don’t eat healthy, you’ll pop a steak and feel just fine because you swallowed some Alli .

This is a pill for the desperate who want now what they should have to work for.

As our readers know by now, when reviewing a diet pill, we always stress that the vast chunk of any weight loss plan is a healthy diet and exercise. This pill takes away from a healthy diet, and promotes unhealthy eating habits.

Alli Weight Loss Pill Side Effects

The most common side effect is unexpected, sudden, and explosive diarrhea. Literally pooping your pants. So while you’re at the drug store picking up your Alli, you may want to be like the Astronaut Lisa Nowak and buy yourself some diapers. Alli users are having to carry an extra pair of pants wherever they go - seriously!

If you’re looking for a healthy diet pill, and a perfect supplement to a healthy lifestyle, we strongly recommend Phen375.

Alli Consumer Reviews

"I used Alli and lost 20 lbs. in three months. I now weigh 137 lbs. and am 55 tall. I use this product every time I eat any food containing fat. I am not joking when I tell you that I eat anything I want , INCLUDING ICECREAM, COOKIES, CANDY,CAKE, YOU NAME IT. I eat these foods every day and dont gain any weight. I think that it is a miracle drug. I also eat healthy foods every day. To put it in a nutshell, for the first time in my life, I can eat as much as I want and not gain weight. I am 56 years old and wil never be overweight again, as long as this product exists."

"I took it about 2 weeks ago and thought on the entire situation before I decided to comment and concluded that this wasn't for me. I have always managed to carry that extra 20 pounds or so around even though my doctor says that he just doesn't get why. I practically already live the "Alli diet plan". I eat healthy and I do cardio 4/5 times a week and weights/yoga 3/4 times a week. I was hoping that maybe this would aid giving me through that extra step. I had the same problem as another reviewer with "leakage" (as Alli calls it). It was only the second day of taking it. I'm sure glad it was a day off. I spent all day in the bathroom and felt miserable. And unlike what they say, I wasn't going out and munching on hamburgers and fries but eating grilled chicken or fish with veggies! So like others have said... if you already feel that you know how to eat properly, this pill is not for you and can only make life more embarrassing!"

"Seriously, this didn't work. I got so tired of ruining my underpants and rushing everywhere because I had to hit the bathroom whenever I was standing for a while that I had to stop taking this stuff. It's easier to just avoid fatty foods. It's a ridiculous product."
-- debbie, Centerville, OH

"I gave it 3 stars, because its works well, but as soon as you stop taking this pill, you will gain everything back.... so i dont know about you but i dont think i want to take this for the rest of my life...... stick to a healthy diet, and regular excersise..."
-- roma on September 23, 2007

"I always binge eat during my finals. To prevent a weight gain and a major step back in my weight loss, I decided to fight back with this product ahead of time. After a few weeks of taking alli, I lost my little belly (padding) and without going to the gym, my six-pack appeared. I had no idea I had a six-pack under my fat pad. The change happened so fast that I still hate having my belly touched but then I realize and have to remind myself: "Wait a minute, the fat belly is not there anymore"." Christina

Alli Money-Back Guarantee?

If you buy Alli from their official site or any retail store there is not any sort of money back guarantee. Alli, along with many other diet pills is not too cheap. It isn't too expensive either but the way our current economy is, I would hate for you to spend money on a diet pill that didn't come with a guarantee. What do you do if it doesn't work or if you don't lose any weight? All of our top-rated diet pills are backed by money-back guarantees.

Here is their Alli Guarantee: "We take great pride in the superior quality of our products and want you to be pleased with your purchase. We believe in offering the very best value, quality and selection to our customers. You may return any unused and unopened item purchased from us for any reason within Ninety (90) days of your purchase. "

Alli Conclusion

You have to be really strict with your diet if you are taking Alli. It does block fat, it may help you lose weight. Alli does not work for everyone, just read the comments below. But if you are going to try Alli, be sure you buy it from the only store that offers any sort of money back guarantee.

Worst Diet Pill EVER!
I took Alli for 1 month and actually gained weight. I wish I would have read this Alli review before I bought it. It made me crampy, gave me really bad and extreme gas. It got to the point where I was paranoid to leave my apartment. It is not worth it.

Alli Review
I have been overweight my whole life. I saw all of these commercials for Alli. So I picked some up when I was at the walmart. i paid $60 for the starter kit, which is more then what i would be willing to pay, but i was hopeful. i started taking it and noticed some results. i lost 1 pound the first week and another pound the second week. the third and fourth weeks i didn't lose anything. alli gave me really bad gas, and everything that has been said about the side effects are 100% true. i think i am going to just stick to fat burners.
#2 - krissy-b-1977 - 01/29/2008 - 11:29
Good reviews
The reviews I read seem very advisable. I was planning on buying alli, but the reviews changed my mind and decided to exercise!!!!
#3 - Isabel - 01/29/2008 - 11:49
what is wrong with us
I mean how can we including myself even consider taking anything that blocks fat. I should just make myself find a differnt way to deal with stress than by eating comfort food. That is the real way to block fat from being digested. How lazy can you get?
#4 - leahcar - 01/29/2008 - 13:57
im glad i looked into this before buying
sometimes diet and exercise isnt enouph and you need that extra help, but i am glad i had red these reviews because i really dont think i want to have stomach pain or s$!% my pants to loose weight,so thanks for posting your comment,i think i'll just try something else, you should always read up on a product before buying it.

#7 - sandy - 01/30/2008 - 22:13
works great behavior modification
It really does work it keeps you accountable and aware of what you eat. I have been on it for three weeks with no treatment effects. Lost 5 pounds in 9 Months and have not started the exercise part of it yet. Will start that tomorrow.
#8 - arleen - 01/31/2008 - 10:07
After thinking about buying this product, my girlfriend advised me to buy brown pants after she heard all the poop stories. I already have enough problems with my butt that I don't need a drug that will make it feel like a loaded .45 everywhere I go! No more Jack in the Box for me!
#9 - Ray - 01/31/2008 - 22:29
Don't do it!
I took this pill for 2 days. I already eat healthy and thought this might help get 10 lbs off. I was miserable with terrible gas, bloating and some cramping. Then the leakage came. All I did was run to the bathroom to wipe, wipe and wipe again...I was now extremely sore. It took two days after taking the last pill to return to normalcy. I truly don't understand how they can market this pill, it's awful.
#10 - Lee Ann - 01/31/2008 - 23:23
So far so good!
I have been taking Alli now for a week and I have not had any "treatment effects" as they warn you of. I have stuck to the diet plan (well except for one day) just as they suggest, following exactly of what they tell you to do and have been able to avoid the treatment effects. I did have one episode of cramping and lose stools....but that was my own fault for cheating and eating a fatty meal! So I have to say that I highly reccomend this diet. I have lost 3 pounds my first week.Give it a try....just don't cheat and avoid fatty foods!
#11 - Katie - 02/01/2008 - 12:09
Alli is no fun
I took Alli for a little over 2 months. I am a very healthy eater and exerciser. I exercise and weight train 4-5 days a week. I too carry about an extra 20 lbs with me. In the first week of taking this i lost about 6 pounds, after that, I gained it all back and a little more while still working out and eating healthy. I had oily gas and cramps, and underwear was ruined (even when I ate salad sometimes!). I HATE this pill. I thought it would finally be something that could help me and yet again I was let down. I don't recomend it.
#12 - Katie - 02/01/2008 - 13:35
TWO Thumbs UP!!
I have been taking it for almost a month. I have not had any treatment affects. I stick to the calorie and fat intake allowable and am satisfied. I do not go hungry and don\'t feel to be deprived of craving as long as you read all of the labels at the grocery store. Go for 0 fat and low calorie. I have also brisk walked for about 20 minutes 5 times a week. I have already lost weight. 2 pounds for me is a great accomplishment. I have tried diets and other pill that claim to help. I have even done Wu-Yi tea. This is the only thing that has ever even come close to giving me hope. I say to each there own and try it and see. It won\'t work for everyone the same. Nothing does, that makes us human.
#13 - Rachel - 02/03/2008 - 10:55

#15 - Mary - 02/04/2008 - 16:48
Well I tried it for the last few days. I bought the kit at Cosco and i paid 70.00 for 150 pills. Let me say that I am more bloated and now I am constipated where I cannot go to the bathroom, I fee that I gained weight instead of losing weight. I have started weight watchers point program and thought i could add alli in my diet, I am eating healthy and stared exercising but to all means, this pill is a farce, do not get it

#18 - SaNDYDEE - 02/06/2008 - 08:22
I was very interested in this product. I went to Wal-mart & bought some overnight pads (due to the warning) and decided to try it the next day. I have not had any of the problems that most have had though. I have had friends that have tried it though and have had the issues that others had. I think with me I tend to use it as a scare tactic rather than a fat blocker. I use it in combo with a good diet plan and take it before my meals so that way I won't get those bad reactions. I am too scared to crap every where so if I take it b/4 the meal I know that I will eat healthy rather than eating bad for me fattening food. That has been my "trick" with alli so far.....and so far no bad mishaps to report:) As for the weight loss, I have been taking Alli for 1 month and lost no weight:(

Didn't Mind It At All
This product wasn't bad in the way everyone says that your going to need diapers. At leaste it didn't for me. I will say that the bathroom experiences were new ones. I didn't gain or loose any weight with the product. But, for me the price for it was/is too high. Still looking for something just to help me cut my cravings for food.
#21 - Christina - 02/09/2008 - 20:56
ALLI is not that bad
well I think it works very good but the side effects is a major problem Im in the bathroom like crazy my sexual desire is not there any more because Im afriad I might have an accident but I\'am loosing so I guess I have to suffer the side effects untill I reach my weight goal with this weightlost pill you have very bad gas it feels like something is trying to push through your stomach it\'s really not a good feeling but you can\'t knock something off tell you try it.
#22 - larhonda stevens - 02/09/2008 - 21:05
I have been on the Alli plan for over two weeks now and have lost a total of 1 pound. I have had wonderful success. I registered online and follow the recommended diet and exercise plan. I have not had any treatment effects at all, probably due to the fact that I did read all the material, registered online, filled out the questionaire profile and follow its recommendation to a T. If you are a responsible person with self dicipline and self control this is a wonderful plan to use in weight loss. I recommend it totally. It is a plan I can live with the rest of my life. Once I reach my goal weight, I feel comfortable that I can quit taking the pills and maintain my weight without a doubt!
#23 - Melissa M - 02/10/2008 - 18:04
Alli Works?
I picked up some Alli at Costco and thought I would try it. I am tired of being fat. I must admit all the side effects are true. You will crap a lot and you have to watch what you eat while taking it. I only lost 2 pounds in 2 weeks? You have to work out and eat healthier. If you eat a large pizza and ice cream you can plan on sh*&&^^!! all over and not losing weight. Use some common sense.
#24 - Drew - 02/11/2008 - 13:35
Alli customer loss
I took this for about 3 weeks and didn't notice any change, except at night when I tried to sleep. I felt very gasic (if that is a word) most of the night. I thought because it was FDA apporved, I would lose weight in a safe way; maybe so for others, but I did not. I was not impressed, and returned the stuff back to the National Wholesale Warehouse I bought it from.

Alli diet pill
I was thinking about using the alii diet pill... but after reading this I will not be using this pill. I would like to thank you all for the informartion. I have three kids and I had three c-sections so my belly is where I am having the most trouble. I have been dieting since new years and I have lost 12 lbs but I have not lost anything since like mid January. I do a step arobic routine 2-3 times a week and I do weight training 2-3 times a week. Any advice would be great. Thanks again.
#26 - Julie - 02/15/2008 - 14:03
I've been using ALLI for approximately 5 weeks now and the only time I had a little problem was after I'd eaten something I shouldn't have eaten - a 5-cheese pizza. I'm diabetic and Alli was recommended by my doctor and I love it. I stay away from meat for the most part, and eat lots of beans, tofu, pasta and brown rice plus lots of steamed veggies and salads.

I had purchased the product and after reading information included with the product, I was scared to death to even try it. However, my blood sugar was getting to be a mess and I figured I had to get it under control. So, I jumped right in and haven't had a problem - and, am losing weight.
#27 - Jan - 02/15/2008 - 16:06
I took it for 5 days and was vigilent with my fat intake-making sure no more than 10 grams or so per meal, and took my multi vitamin every night. I actually got constipated because I think I lowered my fat too much. On the 6th day, in the middle of the night, I got up to use the bathroom - #1, and fainted. My husband heard me fall and tried to revive me, it was difficult. As he was trying to load me into the car, I fainted again. At the hospital the doctor told me they are going to be pulling this product. My electrolytes were out of whack and I was severely dehydrated, also had very low blood pressure. No weight lost either. Boy do I want my $$ back.
#28 - Kelly - 02/17/2008 - 13:05
i would not recommend, instead of feeling terrible about being the weight that i was, i was contiantly worried about the \"leakage\"
#29 - brittany - 02/17/2008 - 16:19
I was on the prescription version of Alli, Xenical, which is even stronger. The side effects are truly horrible and not worth it. I have two young children still in diapers and I had more "accidents" than they did! Even if you are lucky enough to make it to the toilet, the residue left behind is embarassing if you are not at home. So don't just bring an extra pair of pants, but also a toilet brush and some clorox. As mentioned, it also blocks healthy fats. This pill is a cruel joke for people who are already unhappy with what is going on with their bodies!

Thanks For The Reviews!
Hi everyone, I just wanted to thank you all for the reviews. I thought about purchasing Alli to help take off a few more pounds (approx. 10lbs) or so, but after reading the reviews, I decided not to. Honestly, I weighted 170lbs Oct 1, 2007, with a very healthy diet and exercise plan, I now weight 150lbs. Perhaps it was only about 5lbs. per month, but I was did it the healthy way, diet and exercise. I controlled my calorie intake to a reasonable number, approx. 1500-1600 per day, and slowly but surely I dropped the 20lbs and have found it very easy to keep it off. I've learned how to eat and control my portions and I think that's made all the difference to lose the weight and keep it off. My advise, diet and exercise will do the trick. I do cardio about 4-5 times per week about 30-45mins each time. Hope this helps. Thanks everyone!

Alli gave me what I never had...Heartburn
I'm trying to lose weight for my sister's wedding and I saw all these comercials about Alli so I bought the starter kit when it was on sale at Target $40. The first week it was cleaning out my system. The spotting side effects had stoped and I thought cool I've finally found something to help me keep off the weight, yeah until the 4th week into taking Alli I noticed I was having troble sleeping due to an uncomfortable feeling I had in my upper tummy. It wasn't until today that I looked up my symptoms and It's heartburn. :( Alli is not worth it!
#32 - Karina Calderon - 02/20/2008 - 08:22
Alli Isnt THAT BAD!
Well, I needed to add a positive experience on Alli to this site. I do not take the ALLI pill three times a day. I only take it with a dinner that I know has a little more fat than Id like. I eat healthy most of the day to aid in weight loss. I do NOT get "bad gas or cramps" I dont have to "rush to the bathroom" and I cirtantly did not ruin any panties. YES, when I take it I literally leave orange oil in the toilet, which is weird, yes. I hate to be blunt, but if you have to fart, go to the bathroom so you dont ruin your underware. Id have to say that some people may be using Alli as a bandaid when they eat a bad meal, you will get bad effects by doing so. Eat a healthy meal and you will be fine.
#33 - Jen - 02/21/2008 - 15:07
Alli is working great
I have had a lot of trouble losing this last 10 lbs. I am very active and eat relatively healthy. I have taken Alli for 3 weeks and lost 4 lbs and no side effects for the most part. I splurged one weekend and had pizza and it did cause the side effects that the package label warns you about. I don't have trouble sleeping and I take multi-vitamins while taking Alli. I used to take Stacker 3, Hydroxycut and Lipodrine. All of these contained Ephedra and I lost weight super fast. I am losing weight slower with Alli, but feel it's a healthier way to go.
#34 - Renee - 02/21/2008 - 16:37

I took alli for 3 days it should be taken off the maket. I bowels were bright orange and you no control over your bowels. I would rather have a few pounds that have to use diapers.
#36 - Jen - 02/22/2008 - 14:16
I think the ones that wasted money on this pill should get a refund.

Alli Diet Pill
I beg to differ ladies about the alli pill I have not experienced any exploding side effects. My mother and aunt are also on alli, my aunt has lost 10pounds in a month my mom and I just started and lost 2pounds in one week. The pill teaches you how to eat right and if your experiencing such explosive side effects your eating food you shouldn't. I recommend you get online, register with the alli personal plan so you will know exactly what to eat and what reacts badly to the plan. The alli Diet pill isn't for lazy, or unrestricted people. Alli is the real deal holy field. Only if you stick with it and control your terrible eating habits.\

Your Truly,
The Thinning Black Woman

I plan to start taking ali when i get off work.I have read all the information and all of the opinions of presant and past Ali users. Wish me luck.
#39 - Michelle K - 02/25/2008 - 05:22
After reading these reviews, the majority is the bowel movements and leakage. that sounds too scary or should i say unpleasant. i guess the best method is to watch what you eat, eat a good breakfast for the morning, mild lunch and lite dinner and if hungry eat healthy snacks and drink lots of water... the best way to lose weight is also called, "Push Away." After you eat, walk away from the table... Thanks everyone for the review, now i am going to see if i can get my money back and just stick to eating healthy.

Alli review
I have taken Alli for 5 months and have lost 5 lbs. It has worked for me just fine. I find I have loose bowls in the morning and am fine all day. I have not had to wear panty liners and have done well traveling or were ever I am. I like the slow loss as I think I will keep it off. I have cut down on the amount I eat but still eat what I want. I love the pill. I Would just like to find it less expensive.

Hi My name is Ivy. I wanted to know if Alli is good for me . Lasted year I\'d got my gallbadder removed and i have high blood presure medicine. Is this pill okay for me?
#43 - - 02/26/2008 - 21:18
YEAH, Alli will leave stains in your underspants and all that but there is a solution for everything, \"just wear a pantiliner\" . That is what I do. Alli works for me.

Alli Review
I have been taking Alli for 2 months now and I have lost 22 pounds. I admit that the few times that I did eat something that I shouldn't have I did mess up my pants, but the 22 pound loss is worth a messed up pair of pants. I now know what to eat and what not to eat so that I dont have this problem any more.
#49 - Amanda - 03/01/2008 - 13:58
YES it works!! If you use it correctly...
Alli gives you 2 options.

Option 1- Eat small meals throughout the day make sure they have LESS than 15g of fat per meal. Take Alli with 2 of your main meals. Exercise 20-45 minutes a day..brisk walking/slow jogging is #1 in fat burning!! YOU WILL LOSE WEIGHT!

Option 2- Eat whatever you want..pop the alli pill so you feel like you are doing something to help yourself.. dont exercise..have greasy stools. lose maybe a pound or two if your lucky. Blame alli for you not losing weight.

IF YOU ARE NOT LOSING WEIGHT THEN YOU ARE DOING SOMETHING WRONG..people should really stop blaming this "magic pill". its a booster..a helping hand..thats all. You have to diet and you have to exercise. excuses, excuses.

I met my fiance and gained 10 pounds quickly. I was 5'4 138 pounds. I dieted, took alli, and exercised lightly and lost 12 pounds in 3 weeks. It does work. i didnt have greasy stools cause i ate properly and didnt lieeee about it to make myself feel better.

You should try it.

thank you alli
Like several others I have been taking alli for about a month and half. I too thought long and hard about taking yet another diet pill. I ate very low fat for a week before starting to take alli.(like recomended) I have followed the directions on the bottle and have had great results. i have lost a total of 32 pounds. Now that i am pretty used to eating properly i wondered if i still need to take the alli pill. For me I think it keeps me honest. I know that if I eat "junk" while taking this pill I will have side effects and it helps me to stay on track and eat properly. thank you alli

alli - still hopeful
I've been taking alli for two weeks now and I've noticed that my jeans are a little more comfortable. It is true the gas is at times unbarable but I have not experienced a situation with accidental "leakage".
I am slightly overweight and I try to eat well but sometimes I want to have ice cream and burgers. My body is just the type that anything I eat goes right to my butt, and with allie I feel like I get a little more forgiveness from my body for the extras.
My hope is that I can get my body weight down and establish new eating habbits while taking allie. I'm only taking it now with meals that I know I'll regret and I have to say at this point I am very hopeful.
Did I mention that it has killed my appetite.

Alli Review
So far, I've been taking Alli for three weeks, and yes it gives me gas and makes me have to go to the bathroom. But for me, it is not that bad. Those are the side effect of the drug cleaning your system. I don't mess my clothes. The solution for the oily spotting is panty liners(women). I went from a size 13 to a 10 within the past month. Then yesterday, I noticed that my new size 10 pants(I bought within the last few weeks and only wore twice) are too big for me now. I do some cardio and sit-ups and I'm still working on my eating habits. Eating healthy and exercising is hard for me. I'm that person who(before I had my first child) never had to exercise and ate what I wanted and still looked good. After having my first child, I lost my figure and it wasn't easy for me to look good anymore without having to actually "work" for it. So, dropping 3-4 inches off my waist line is a "great" change for me. I haven't wore under a size 10 since before I first got pregnant, which was seven years ago. So maybe this drug isn't for everyone.

OK.. I just bought the alli diet pill, and everyone at work has told me,.....
You'll poop in your pants! ok, the first day i took alli, i was in the bathroom 3-4x and it was like I had nothing else that would come out!
Alli gave me cramps, and IS THIS STUFF guaranteed!?? Or money back???
Oh great! I just spent about 50 bucks on this and I am literally scared poopless! geeze, I wish I could've read the reviews first too. Darn.. guess I'll try the "Lipovox" so they say its better?? hmmm I'll have to check it out!

Retired, but wanting to still look good!
I wonder if Alli is effective in helping to keep cholestrol under control with all that fat being expelled from the body. Any research on this, or just your thoughts would be interesting?!?!

Alli Don't Work
I have tried alli twice now. the first time using it was horrible. With the runny stools that is. Didn't lose weight. Just had runny stools to where I had to make sure I stayed close to a bathroom. I tried it a second time and was more careful of what I ate. The fat content. The stool thing was better but... still didn't lose weight. Actually... I believe I gained weight. Not worth the cost!

Alli has more side effects than you know
I took alli for two weeks, did everything they said about the calories and fat intake and I actually lost about 8lbs. BUT! I I also had lose bowels that were oily and very bad gas. I also started having heart palpitations. One night I thought I was going to have a stroke or heart attack. Since that night I stoped taking the pills and my chest still feels funny like I'm going to have a panic attack or something. I thought these pills were just supposed to work in your stomach not give you heart problems. So to all thinking of taking them please be CAREFUL!!!!!!!!!!!
#57 - Big-C - 03/04/2008 - 17:27
Worked for me!
The key thing with Alli is that you have to watch your fat grams. I was accustomed to a low-fat diet before taking Alli and so this was not a concern for me. Never had a problem with over-loose bowel movements or anything and I lost 50% more weight per week than I had without Alli.

Of course I was, as I said, on a low-fat diet (30 gms of fat a day maximum) and was exercising 3 - 4 days a week at Curves. However, I averaged 3 pounds a week weight loss while on the product.

You just HAVE to watch what you eat or it won't work.
#58 - Sandi L. - 03/04/2008 - 20:28
I started to take this pill, took it for four days with my already nutritious meals. I ended up with a three day clusture migraine, diarrhea, and severe vomiting, not to mention the horrid oily gas discharge. I thought I was dying. The worst sixty dollars I ever spent and the biggest scare of my life!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I have not taken the pill now for five days and I am still sicker than ever!!!!!!!!!!!!! Do Not buy this pill!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
#59 - Michelle - 03/04/2008 - 23:55
Alli pill
I listened and just read all the reviews, but honestly I got just the opposite results. I started taking Alli on my weekend off due to reports of sudden bowel movements. I took pills for 2 days , I never went to the bathroom once. It actually took me 3 days before I had a bowel movement. I was so constipated. I re-read the instructions again, not difficult to follow, but again same results. Wondering if this has happened to any one else? Now that I stopped taking the pills I'm back to normal.
#60 - Ellen S - 03/05/2008 - 11:53
Alli thumbs up!!!!
I personaly love Alli it has worked for me and I only took it for 2 months and lost a total of 13 lb. and it is now easier for me to continue to loose weight on my own because I now know what a healthy meal is. I think it educates you on how to eat because if you follow the calorie and fat intake and exersize on a daily basis wile taking the pill you know if you are eating healthy. If you consume more fat grams you will get the side effects however you will now the next time you eat the same way or similar you are consuming more fat grams than you are suppose to and in a non healthy way. Like any other diet pill this is just a jump start and some motivation along with some education on how to eat healthy and you should not expect for the pill to do miracles. Also I think that they exagerate when they say you will poop and need to wear black pants...unless you take the pill and think it is ok to eat like a pig because you will not gain weight, but it is not even like that.....

alli warning - take along an extra pair of draws!!!
I\'ve been taking Alli for 1 month and my last. If you think its a poot...its not!!! It\'s a heap of stanking grease in your pantys. Pissess me off. and it stinks. and it takes a good washing to get off. and it\'s not worth $60. I haven\'t lost a thing but plenty of good pants and panties. it gets all over your butt cheeks and between your crack and stinks. I don\'t know a soul who can eat 15 grams of fat per meal (for Alli to work). That alone is a diet. KEEP YOUR MONEY AND TRY SOMETHING ELSE.
#62 - Beverly - 03/05/2008 - 20:40
My results
On the contrary,I have gotten great results from Ali. I studied the books that come with the package thourghly. I started taking Ali after following there diet plan for my body weight for week as they recomended and I lost 15pds within the first week. The key to Ali is to eat their portin size meat and eat more leafy foods than rice or other starchy, sugary condaments.I am overweight, I noticed that I dont break down fat as everyone elese hence the copious amount gas and leakage. This is a good indicator that you have to change you meats or pay more close attention to the label or portion control. For example,I try not to go over 15grams of fat a day versus the 15grams a meal that Ali recomends.I also dont consume more than 2 grams of sugar per meal. Futhermore,I noticed that reducing my calorie intake helps wonders. I find that 1200 calorie a day is to much for me. I actually gain wieght no matter what I eat. This means action packing my meals that has a high nutrional value with low calories but having the same portion as regular meals. This means reading the labels on everything. This diet pill is great for indivduals like me that have high blood pressure.I have no headaches, palpatations or have to increase my meds just to last through the week using the other diet pills.
#63 - Nelson - 03/06/2008 - 07:34
working for me
I take the alli pill 3x's a day, and the only time I had the diahrea side effect was when I over ate the fat content. I usually don't, but I did the one day, and I did get it. The bottle does tell ya, if ya follow the menu, and take the vitamin before bed, ya wont have any effects. I havent weighed myself yet, but my close seem looser, and I been asked if I lost weight. I have tried all of the other pills out there, and I gained weight on them, or I couldnt handle the smell or taste of them , so I quit taking them the 1st wk. Im sticking to this atleast to the bottle is done,to see what I have benefited from it, and go from there.

Alli - I crapped my pants!
Alli is good for blocking those greasy foods you eat, but the next day you will be hitting that bathroom all day, you wipe and wipe and all at the end your butt still feels GREASY and smelly. I felt my butt was moist so i went to the bathroom and had the biggest Grease spot on my jeans AT WORK, another day I had to fart so i did, and i farted grease everywhere even on my couch. Alli is JUST NASTY to be honest, I regret spending $60.00. We fattys just need to eat right and exercise. At night time your stomach is bloated of so much gas, your diarhea is out of control, i tried holding it once-NOT GOOD. This is good for a person who stays home NEXT to the bathroom. Alli is GRose

alli pills
thanks for posting these notes. I have not started taking the pills
and I am glad that I read these notes because I have to take 5 shots
of Insulin a day and Insulin will cause you to gain weigh and I feel
like a good year blimp and this is really hard to take of the extra
20lbs. and I really don't need to also have the bathroom runs too.
being a diabetic is hard enough without adding more trouble. so I guess
I will just have do something else.
thank to you all
good luck

alli has been a godsend
I've been using alli for one month and I have lost 12pounds after having a baby 9 months ago I've never had any accidents and I go to restaurants every weekend with my husband and I've never had any embarrasing moments My self esteem is up I look and feel great I'd reccomend this pill to anyone in a heartbeat unlike other diet pills that contains ephedra they make you loose weight quickly but wind up messing up your heart

I love this product!!!!! Alli
This product 'Alli' works fantastic if you aren't a grease loving over eating hog in the first place! I have been using it for over 2 months, lost over 8 pounds, I have NEVER had any 'accidents' or ruined any clothing. What in the h@#%$ are you people eating after taking this pill to have these side effects? Give up the Big Mac's and Super size Fries already!!!! You may be pleasantly surprised at the results!

Waiting to see if Alli Works
I started taking alli 4 days ago - I have not had any accidents - but do have quite a bit of gas. I have not been taking it 3 times a day - but more like 2 - and if I eat a meal that I know has more than 15grams of fat - I do not take it. I am following the weight watchers points program - so I will let you know how that is going - my first weigh in is Thursday.
#73 - Renee - 03/10/2008 - 12:56
alli - So-so
So I've been taking alli for 4 days now. Over the weekend I had frequent bowl movements, some gassy farts (just go to the bathroom when you have to fart - not a huge deal), gross poo's (what poo ISN'T gross though?), and that was about it. Until thismorning. I had a slimfast shake for breakfast. That was it. All morning I have had the WORST stomach cramps, frequent bowl movements (um, 3x in one morning/early afternoon = too much for me), heart palpatations, flushed face, and I feel almost dazed/dizzy. I had a very low-fat lunch, thinking the cramps were hunger related. Nothing has changed.
For dinner last night, it was also very low fat - so I know it wasn't dinner last night. I exercise, eat right, etc. I'm not being a lazy-alli taker.

I will still attempt to take alli, just not during the day - only at night and see how that goes. I had all lowfat meals yesterday, so I really don't understand wtf is going on in my intestines right now. If things continue like this, I will be one less alli user.
#74 - Blair - 03/10/2008 - 15:53
Why not see for yourself??????
I thought Alli was just pretty much to keep you honest???? It sounds to me like some of you are having bad side effects because you are not eating correctly. I don't think you are suppose to eat what you want and expect it to work. It just tells you when you are not eating right and helps to block SOME fat. You guys are wanting your cake and eat it too (literally...LOL)

I think I will take my chances and try it. And if I have bad side effects I will take a closer look at what I am eating.

dark underwear requiered
My wife asked me to buy it saying that it was the only pill approved by the FDA, we started using and initially I though it was doing great on breaking the fat of my belly but after reading a bit more all it was doing was breaking the fat I was eating. We eat very healthy anyway. It was embarrasing leaving a yellow film after i used the toilet, then I went to a wedding and farted (had to...I am sorry to say it)and it came out with an unwanted extra. Had to throw my white underwear to the trash. My stomach we a mess so after a week I decided to stop taking it.
Sorry for being so descriptive but it was a bad experience.

ALLI! What a joke
I been taking Alli for about 3 months, and lost 10 pounds, but I also threw away about 20 pounds of underware. If your going to pass some gas, make sure your sitting on the toilet. Worse smell ever, even my dog runs from me. Only thing I see good about this pill, it helped lower my blood sugar. Three things to avoid if you plan on taking Alli. Don't eat Bacon, stay away from corndogs, and don't 69 when making love.

I have about 30 pounds to lose. I spoke with my doctor abouttaking Alli as I'm taking other medications and she said it would be OK. But that i would have be in the bathroom a lot. I purchased it at Sam's Club for $65. After reading these reviews, I'm returning it. Thank you for this. I read that Lipovox 10 Super-foods was excellent to take because it's natural. Had anyone tried it and what kind of results????

I started to take alli in the summer follow the instructions to the t. the pounds started to drop very easily but so did I it messed with my blood pressure dropping it and i keeped passiong out still eating with in my means. the last straw was me passing out on my trainer that it for me. these pills cost me 60 dollars and $100s in medical bills and 7 months on blood pressure medication. there was never anything wrong with my blood pressure and thank god now its back to normal..... You might as well give your money away - don't buy Alli
I thought that Alli was the biggest waste of money. I went and saved a little money by buying my bottle on ebay. What a joke. Like the other reviews I actually have seen an increase. I have only wanted to lose around 12 lbs. I go to the gym 3 to 4 times per week, don't pig out and I have got to say I see ZERO! a big fat nothing. Lucky for me, i have not had the bathroom incidents, but I do feel crampy and that is not for me. So, ALLI where is your money back guarantee?
#81 - Kip - 03/12/2008 - 19:05
alli is wonderful
I've been on alli for five moths now and I've lost 40 lbs., of course I've followed the instructions on the bottle, wich include to eat healthy and exercise. Let's not forget that this pill is help and you still have to work hard and not load yourself up with fat. that's when you poop yourself!!. REMEMBER THAT NOTHING IN LIFE COMES FREE OF EFFORT!!!

I have taken alli for 2 1/2 months. Haven't lost any weight. Did go to to
the bathroom every day. Loved that. When you don't poop but every 6 to 7 days, you will try anything. Love the Alli!!!!!!!!!!!! After 2 1/2 months
the going to the bathroom has stopped. No gas, oily stools, nothing. Does this med. stop after a few months? The only reason I took Alli was because of the side-effects. (Going to the bathroom)

Alli may stop your periods....not in a good way
I started Weight Watchers in Oct and thought I\'d add Alli to my life and help me lose weight faster. I\'ve lost 25 lbs to date, which is great. I follow my points and I moderately exercise 5 days/week. I started Alli in November and I haven\'t had a period since then. I took 3 pregnancy tests(all negative) and finally went to my doctor. She did a full exam, I am not pregnant, but her diagnoses was that Alli was blocking so much of my vitamin intake; even with a vitamin supplement at night, that my body\'s reaction was to stop my menstration cycle. This is not healthy for your body. My doctor continued to say, I probably lost the 25 lbs because of my diet and exercise, not from the pill. I\'ve stopped taking the pill and within a week I got my period. I just don\'t think it\'s worth the havoc it\'s wreaking on my body. Please beware.
#88 - Julie - 03/25/2008 - 11:06
Loved it
loved the alli pill lost 5lbs in 2 1/2 months by dieting only i didnt exercise at all. I was too scared to sh** in my pants so i kept my grams of fat below 7%. Oily stools is part of taking the pill eventually the oil becomes less though is just the first few days when its out of control. My only problem is that now that i lost the weight I am no longer considered overweight so the pill stopped working for me. I am now taking prescription xenical. BOTTOM LINE--- stop eating junk food and you will lose the weight faster by using the alli pill

I am not sure what to do?
I am just really not sure what to do after reading these reviews. I work for a surgeon and I am afraid if I take this product it will make me very uncomfortable. Although I am very honest when I do diet plans and follow them to a T. But the thing is what if Iam at work? Thats all I would need to do is spend alot of time in the bathroom in a fast paced place. Although I need to loose about 15 pounds before my wedding, which is August 2nd and that will be here soon. So the question is do I want to take the risk of being miserable and having to poop my pants or try something else?
#92 - Katie from Mt.Pleasant PA - 03/30/2008 - 10:25
I took alli for about 4 months and really did lose weight and had minimal side effects and virtually none if I stuck to a low-fat diet. I even started losing weight in the first week. In the 4 months I was following the diet I lost 51 pounds. Now i've hit some financial difficulty and am having a hard time spending the $$$"s it costs for the pills but once I work it out I'll definately start taking them again. I'm trying to stick to lowfat eating inspite of not having the pills but it really is a much harder battle. I wish will power and discipline came in a bottle.

I will stick to eating healthy and excersing and so far wieght watchers is the only one that has worked for me. But it all comes down to is taking care of ourselves and learning what to eat and what not to eat. Thanks again.

I take Alli.
I take alli and if you read the label like your suppose to and take a multivitamin before you go to bed then it works i just started taking it monday and already lost 3 pounds, this being wednesday, thats pretty good, so you just can't eat anything and still lose weight you have to eat healthy, and exercise.
#96 - Brandi - 04/03/2008 - 00:13
Not for Everyone
I took alli for a week. I have never been so miserable in all of my life. I did not experience the diarrhea, but I am bloated and gassy and every time I pass gas, I have the nastiest grease stains in my pants. The leakage is horrendeous and - to boot - even though I took the multi-vitamins like they stated - I would wake up in the middle of the night with horrible muscle cramps and charlie horses.

I am eating a healthy low fat diet and exercising, so these side effects shouldn't be an issue.

I can tell you that it does keep your body from absorbing fat - it's because it sends it out your rear end instead. This was a WASTE of my money, and it is now 3 days after I quit taking the pills, and I am still draining - and I feel horrible. I do not recommend this product!
#97 - Sherri - 04/07/2008 - 13:26
Weight gain as a "side effect"??
I haven't had a huge problem with the side effects but I seem to have my own unique side effects that are worse - I'm gaining weight! My BM are not regular anymore and my stomach is bulging out. I'm thinking of going off of Alli for a few days and if my BM and weight stablizes, I'm off this pill. I was prepared for the known side effects but not the weight gain (and my eating habits really haven't changed...I might be eating more because fat makes us feel full and maybe w/out that full feeling I'm eating more).
#98 - Mary - 04/07/2008 - 15:30
I have taken ALLI for two weeks and I have lost 3 lbs. I have been eating a low fat, low calorie plan for a year before starting ALLI. I have followed the plan to a "T" and I am having all the "treatment effects" that they say may happen. THEY ARE HAPPENING and are they are unpleasant and not fun!! Very embarrassing!!! I have lost a total of 45 lbs in the last year just on my eating and exercise plan. I wanted to lost 10 more lbs. and thought ALLI would help me lose it a little quicker. I was losing more weight without it and the bloating is AWFUL! I am going to continue without the ALLI!! It may work for some people, but it is not for me.

What else can I do?
I've tried Alli for a month or so, but haven't had much success. Fortunately I haven't suffered any undesirable side effects, but have experienced even less weight loss at the same time.
#100 - Karen - 04/10/2008 - 21:25
Not as bad as it may seem
I have been taking Alli for 4 weeks now and lost 6 pounds. The grease or treatment effects are minimal and you get used to the signs of when you need to let out gas; you should start making your way to the restroom at this time because you don't know what else may come with it. I have had a few accidents, a little oil bubble that caused a small underwear stain, but nothing major since I have had similar accidents with the start of "that time of the month." I am eating better and exercising more, but overall happy that my clothes are fitting looser. I already suffer from heart burn and haven't noticed any more than normal. One thing that I do like is the fact that I have more frequent bowel movements. Prior to Alli, it was sometimes 2-3 days but now it's daily. More energy too.
#101 - Freida - 04/10/2008 - 23:53
Alli works?
I lost 4 pounds in 2 months. I still had at least 20 to go, but I hit a plateau. So I figured I'd come off it for a bit. Needless to say I am back to square one, well almost. I did not have any of the problems listed unless I ate peanut butter YIKES!

Alli works for me
I am 41 and Alli is the only safe and effective diet pill out there, especially if you have any past or present Heart conditions like myself. I have been using Alli since Jan. 08, and have never had any "treatment effects" (Leakage, runny bowel movements). I watch my fat intake and calories and I have lost 15 ponds so far. I will continue using Alli as long as I need to. My Heart Specialist also recommended it. She told me it was the safest Diet pill on the market.

I took Alli
While taking Alli I had the "poop" experience but that wasn't as bad as the gas, at one time my husband asked me if I was pregnant! because my stomach was so bloated. After the second week I lost some weight that was noticable in my legs but I had to wear large shirts to hide my growing stomach. Since then I have stopped taking Alli my stomach seem to be returning to normal but I ended up gaining more weight overall in the end.

No Sharts here. It's pretty good to me
Hey, I haven't crapped my pants, my butthole's clean, & I'm not blowing Crisco bubbles out my ass but I'm not munching on a bunch of fatty crap either. If you plan on taking this don't eat a freakin big mac without some Depends.
#108 - Terra - 04/18/2008 - 14:53
Well, you all are very descriptive about your side effects! I have high blood pressure and one of my medications is causing me to gain weight and give me that backed-up feeling. I will try Alli and see if it will just make me regular again. I am good at following directions and will do so. Good luck to the people who will try this. Sorry for those who did not have much success.
#109 - Donna - 04/19/2008 - 00:10

The muddy mississippi
Ok so I heard alli would help me lose weight. i bought me some and continued to eat horribly thinking that it would not effect me. i didnt read about the side effects and I thought I had a virus. I Crapped my pants at the movies and had to run out of the theatre. I dont have a car so i had to ride the bus home with terds drippin down my legs. On the bus I had another surge of diarrhea and i started to cry because I was so embarassed. the bus driver threw me off of the bus and I finally had to go to the hospital in an ambulance. I fealt like I had old man river up my butt and he just kept rollin along.
#111 - Mud man - 04/20/2008 - 16:06
It works if you follow directions!
Its been mentioned before, if you follow the directions, you don't experience the "side effects" very often. I've been taking it for 3 months. The only time I've experienced "side effects" is after eating very fatty foods (fried food - bar food, fast food, mexican food). I don't get bad cramping, I don't have bad gas, I don't spend hours on the toilet, and I don't wake up in the middle of the night worried that I shart my pants. I walk every day, take a multi vitamin and pay attention to what I'm putting in my mouth. You want to eat fast food everyday? Then you're first problem is self-control. You shouldn't take a diet pill to make up for laziness. Try Slimfast then. Alli will work if you make an effort. And honestly, when you experience the "side effect," just think - all that gross orange oily stuff could be floating around in your body instead of your toilet bowl... I'd prefer to get rid of it!

Alli!! It stink's
I was very excited to try this supplement because, I had already lost 20 something lbs. and was also geared up to lose wieght. I heard about the product and was eager to try it. I started it about a month ago and hear it is a month later and I didn't lose any more weight, than what I normal lose. I am very disappointed because I really believed in this product. I would never recommend this to anyone. It's is a FAT BLOCKER and that is that! NOTHING ELSE!!! I started my diet the end of Jan. 2008 and was very successful losing the weight on my own. I was losing anywhere from 3-4 lbs. a week. When I started ALLI in March, I waited and waited but there was no aid in weight loss. Now if you want a fat blocker ALLI is for you.

Alli user now has gallbladder problems !!!!
I was very pleased with the Alli pill I took it the whole 6 months and lost over 50+ pounds. I ate exactly what i was supposed to. I Never had any treatment affects and now that I'm off the pill I still have keep the pounds off! However the down fall is I've now learned that all the weight lose I have had is coming back to haunt me. I have now developed gallbladder and gallstone problems since taking the pill and will have to have surgery to remove the gallbladder. I just wish that I was aware that something like this would happen before taking.

I have lost 17 pounds on alli
This pill really does work. i have been taking it for about 2 months now i have lost 17 pounds and still counting. I work out 30 - 45 min 5 times a week combined with a little weight lifting. But the thing that keeps me going is the alli pill. It is a great motivator for me i know that i can cheat and have alli to back me up cause beleive me it is so hard to eat right that is my opinion anyway. i have had some treatment effects but it not as bad it sounds. it working for me i recomend any one to try this pill it is awesome.
#117 - Dedee - 04/26/2008 - 10:54
thank you alli
I have taken alli for about a month and a half. I have lost 4 pounds. i get really upset when i hear all the negitive reviews about alli because the package was very clear. as long as you stay away from all the unhealthy and fatty foods you should do fine. that's why they ask you to ask yourself if you are ready for the commitment... the only time i had any of the side effects(diareha) was when i didn't follow the directions and ate things i shouldn't have. whose fault is that (not alli).
#118 - terri - 04/27/2008 - 13:54
I waisted my money!!!!!!
I thought that if I had alli It would help me loose faster. I have been eating low calorie foods and low fatty foods.I have lost some wait but not what I was expecting. I have had no side effacts either.Nothing. No gas, diarriea, ect. I dont think it is haveing any effect on my at all. I hate that it doesnt work. I hate throwing my money away. And that is what I did!!!!
#119 - Melissa - 04/27/2008 - 17:18
Alli doesn't sound like it is for me...
I have read the cons and pros of taking Alli and I don't think this will be good for me as I have IBS. In case you don't know what the abbreviation means it is Irritable Bowel Syndrome. Well, anyways I read all the reviews. Thanks to each and everyone of you for sharing your experience with Alli and now after reading them I am choosing NOT to buy this product. I don't need anymore gas and bloating than I already have now. I will just keep up my calorie cutting/fat intake and walking everyday to lose the 20 lbs I want to. I have already lost 8lbs this month. Good Luck to you all!!!
#120 - Marion - 04/30/2008 - 22:35
Alli has its ups and downs
I have been taking Alli for 2 1/2 months now and I have lost 20 lbs. I have had my share of "Potty" visits, trust me. I have even had a couple of "accidents". But I have come to find that if you watch you FAT intake in you meals, you will not have these so called "treatment effects." I plan to continue to take Alli, I want to lose another 100 lbs.
#121 - Angie - 05/01/2008 - 17:13

Alli RULES!!!!!!!!!! I have been taking Alli for 8 day\'s now.2 pounds and still losing. I have yet to get the squirts, yes I feel like I have to pass gas, but I wait until I make it to the restroom, and then let it RIP!!!! I"d rather see the fat in the toilet than in my belly. GOOD JOB Alli. Dian

Just Started
Some of the reviews were scarry! I am going to continue and give it my best shot. I read everything twice and read a lot on line as well. If you eat right, the way you should all the time, I thing the effects will be minimal. I started with just 1 pill, before supper. I didn't want to have to run to the bathroom at work. If you start, you should do it on the weekend, so you know how your body will handle it. I appreciate the comment from someone who only takes it every other day. That's thought.
I am taking it because my niece started it and lost 7 pounds. Good luck to all. I think this pill will teach me to eat healthier for life.

My Alli Experience
I was shopping at the mall the other day when the urge for me to go pee hit me pretty hard. I drink a good amount of high quality h2o. Trying to lose weight - you know! Anyways, while I was peeing, I lost total control of my bowels and crapped all over the place. Luckily I was at a macy's, so I was able to procure some boxers and slacks. But seriously, this has never happened to me before. I guess it is part of Alli's double-edged sword. Eat right or suffer!
I have lost 10 pounds in the past 4 weeks. But I would gladly give 5 of those pounds back in exchange for not crapping my pants.
#125 - Cole - 05/05/2008 - 18:43
People, its just really negative people posting, its silly...
This product is not that bad. IF you eat all kinds of crap and junk food and high fat you will have more severe side effects. If you eat a lower fat and healthier diet you will have little to no side effects. It's as easy as that.
Also please remember that people THRIVE on places to post negative comments, especially when it comes to any kind of medications.
My advice, if your dr gives you the go ahead (because your dr knows more than any idiot online) then try it. Eat a low fat diet and if it works for you, great! If not, stop using it!
Don't depend on all of these people for advice!

Also Just Starting
I have just started Alli with my Dr's consent, guys and gals I am 5'3" and weigh 180lbs I have never been skinny but would love to weigh 150lbs again. I have tried every fade diet and pill known to man and at best I lose 10lbs, I went to the new craze of these "boot camps" and ok I lost 20lbs but at $100 per month and I cannot eat Carb at all (I know to much is bad) but all that protien constipates you, I'd rather a good s%$&T than to be irritable and can't poop. I have always dieted and exercised with little to no results, I'm tired. I'f Alli is going to as my doctor say get rid of those fat pocket that just wont move then I am in. I eat great Mon thru Fri and treat myself on the weekends so two day prevents me from losing weight. I'd like to know is there anyone out there that eat right 24/7 365 days? If so god bless you. I do good 80% of the time and still there is know reward and with the fear of side effect from Alli and ruining my ggod clothes (that I love the most) I can change that 80% to a realistic 92% and hopefully see some change. Also I exercise, have all the tools, I will keep you all posted. P.S. most of these posting are probably scare tactics from these other killer, make your heart race pill companies that Alli is sending into bankruptcy. Ha ha ha
#127 - BJ - 05/06/2008 - 10:38
I have taken the Alli diet pill for the past two weeks and no, I have not pooped on myself. I am in agreement with Samantha Kay. If you eat a bunch of garbage of course you're going to mess on yourself. I took the Alli to my doctor before using and he gave me the go ahead. It is just a booster for me. My first week I lost 2 lbs. I always had regular bowel movements so going to the bathroom is no problem for me. I just call it a good cleansing which we all can use every now and then. Don't knock it before you try it. Some people want a quick fix and think they can do anything to get it. Read the book, follow the instructions! It will work! Don't listen to the negative hipe because these people didn't do what they were supposed to. The book says not to eat over "15" grams of fat per meal. Now if you go and eat 25, 30 or even 50, what do you expect!

Started Today.....
I have read all of the warnings and reviews above and trust me I am quite worried about the "treatment effects" I will write back to let u know what my results are. The only reason I am taking this pill is to lower my blood sugar that just will not come down from 300. Will report to you diabetic people as well... wish me luck (0.0)

just started
Hi everyone, I was just reading the reviews, Sorta scary. But I'm willing to give Alli a try. I just started today But I'm only taking it for lunch and dinner. I'm not a breakfast person. I know breakfast is the most important meal of the day. So I'm trying to eat breakfast bars for now. I wish everyone success who is willing to stick with it. For everyone else who tried it, that Alli wasn't working out for. Good Luck with whatever other source you try!

#132 - lessa - 05/12/2008 - 16:15
love it
I used Alli for about 3 months and lost 20lbs without following the diet like i was supposed to. Yeah i did have some unpleasant side affects but only when i ate food with too much fat. I have to say though i've never had an accident. I think if you follow the diet and include exercise it will work.
#133 - Ivon - 05/13/2008 - 15:13
Alli works just fine
I have being using Alli for almost 1 month now and I already lost 10 pounds. I followed the plan, eat well and exercise in a regular basis. I never had to deal with all the side effects all the other people talked about. Alli is not for everyone. You have to be discipline. Alli has taught me to eat healthier and stay fit, now I am more aware of what I eat. Thanks Alli :)
#134 - Nicky - 05/14/2008 - 11:26
Alli Results
Once you take Alli and a fatty meal you will either
1) never take alli ever again.
2) keep taking alli and never eat fat again.

My anus was quivering in pain and I diarrhead the sulfuriest smelling and ithciest stuff on earth. Sorry to be graphic but this stuff is disgusting.

I think it also important to note that alli blocks fat. But there are GOOD Fats and BAD Fats. It cannot distinguish between the two so you will be missing out on heart healthy EFA's and imortant vitamins & minerals.

You would be better off buying a product like SlimQuick or Leptitrex which REALLY work with NO side effects.
#135 - Devon - 05/15/2008 - 17:18
Alli- working for me...
I started taking Alli one month ago after talking to my niece who had lost 20lbs in 6 weeks.I thought that was great! She told me of the so called \"treatment effects\" if you didn\'t keep your fat intake down to 15 grams per meal. I have to say I have never pooped my pants, the only thing that I notice is that if you are not eating right you will feel the urge to go and you better go \"right now\"... I think taking them makes you more aware of what you eat and really watching the fat content in everything. I exercise 3 times per week and have lost 12lbs in one month.I\'m sure it works differently for everyone but it\'s not the nightmare so many think it is!
#136 - Jeanne - 05/17/2008 - 02:10
Feeling Great
I have been taking alli for the pass 4 weeks and I can say I feel great. I have lost 12 lbs. and my matabolism has rised, I have more energy, do things I was not doing before. I have experience some side effects but, my body got use to it. I go to the restroom when I take alli. I know when it is time. I have not had any problems with alli. I know alli is not for everyone, so I recommend for them to take what their body can take. As for me I stay with Alli, I am a very satified customer.
#137 - Norma - 05/18/2008 - 22:40
Alli has worked for me and is still working!!! It's changed my life.
Like many of you, I have tried countless diet pills. God help me when I am elderly! Hopefully I'll still have a stomach and intestines! Anyway, I finally got totally fed up with myself. Being 38 years old, having three c-sections and weighing 162 lbs. I even went to the extreme of having cosmetic surgery on my stomach to get rid of my "muffin top". Yes, my stomach is totally FLAT now from surgery, but the rest of me needed work. So I started a diet called Medifast (which I highly recommend) and Alli. I have always had trouble going to the bathroom and Alli works for me! Even though my diet now is very low in fat intake, I'm finally regular every morning. Yes, I've tried daily fiber supplements and detoxifying pills, but nothing has worked for me except for Alli. I have lost a total of 21 lbs since starting Medifast and Alli on January 19, 2008. Some may say ONLY 21 lbs. BUT its 21 lbs of FAT, not muscle and water weight. I'm now also faithful with working out on my bow flex and biking. I have gone from a size 14 down to a size 6.

I'd say give Alli a try if you are ready to commit to a low fat way of eating. Not to be gross but I thought it was great to see all the oil yuck in the toilet the first time. It made me feel "cleaned out" inside. I felt that my body was finally getting rid of that gross fatty crap just lingering in my body. It's truly amazing, staying away from fast food, fried greasy breaded foods and high fat dairy has really made a difference in my life. Not only have I seen a difference in my appearance but my moods and most of all my overall feeling inside is just wonderful. Yes, temptation is always there, but if you really think of what all that garbage is really doing to your body you would think common sense would tell you to stay away from it. Alli can help aid in losing an extra 1-2 pounds a month and keeping you away from high fat foods is well worth 39.95 per month to me. Good Luck all!
#138 - Lori - 05/21/2008 - 07:58
It worked great for me
I took Alli for a month and lost 20lbs. I combined it with the Slim Fast program. If you are having "treatment effects" as they call them you are not staying within your fat and cal. limit. Stay within your limits you are given and you won't have that problem. Alli also does not say to eat whatever you want and still lose weight. It plainly states on the pkg. that it should be used with a low fat low cal. diet and to also take a multi vitamin to help replenish what the pill cuts out. The only bad thing I have to say about Alli is the price.
#139 - Tamara - 05/21/2008 - 12:07
What are you people thinking
There is no miracle pill out there, Alli is designed to turn you off to the thought of eating fatty foods all the time. With anything that you take fat blocker or burner, you need to be on a healthy diet and exercise plan. Alli or any other drug you take to lose weight is an aid. Just as if we use a study guide to pass a test Alli is there to help us along. If you poop your pants with fat from your lunch, it is because you choose not to eat healthy. You people come on here looking for a miracle drug...sorry to burst your bubble but one does not exists.Stop being lazy and workout and eat healty.
#140 - Lauren - 05/22/2008 - 20:08
Alli is fantastic! It keeps you accountable--my weight and plan is 1600 calories a day, and as long as I stick to my guidelines of 15 grams of fat per meal, total of 45 daily fat grams, i do great! i only wish it was a little faster, I am losing about a pound and a half per week, I have been on it for 6 weeks today and have lost 9 lbs.
If you don't feel like keeping to their recommended calorie and fat intakes though, don't try it because you WILL get the bad effects mentioned. But if you're really serious about losing and getting a little bit of an "edge" that also has the great effect of keeping you "honest" about your fat intake (if you aren't honest, you will have ALL the bad effects mentioned!)
I am so excited to be able to take something to help me lose, i am hoping for another couple months, and then watching my calories, and as soon as i gain back 5 lbs, go get on it again! I give it a definite thumbs up, as long as you're serious about doing the plan correctly.
#141 - Debra - 05/23/2008 - 02:16
After reading and seeing all these reviews Im just like WWWOOOWW!! I think that i will not waste 60.00 on a pill that makes me poop my pants, have cramps, and mess with my period. All I want is a pill that doesn't mess with your heart, helps you truthfully lose weight, doesn't make you poop and doesn't have serious side affects. Is Lipovox healthy for you?
#142 - STEPY - 05/23/2008 - 23:16
A Nightmare
I just want everyone to know I have just spent the night sitting with my puking daughter all night long. She has been taking this horrible pill for four days(against my advise). She has had stomach cramps everyday and tonight she has done nothing but puke. Stop the madness. Eat healthy exercise and be happy with you.
#143 - Vic - 05/24/2008 - 06:53
This product seems good and bad according to these reviews. Honestly some people here I'm reading are getting those side effects. I'm sure it happens, but some people here who are complaining already seem to state they are healthy and all. It specifically says not to take it if not overweight, take vitamins etc. etc. I'll give this a shot and see if I have bowel disfunction following the rules.
#144 - John - 05/27/2008 - 01:30
Just so you know
Well, I have taken Alli for a couple of months. I started out at 118 and am now down to 112. I still have a little ways to go. HOWEVER, I have had some terribly embarassing moments with this pill. I have been eating in healthy moderation and exercising somewhat, but man, the freaking greasy ass is not worth it. I do not plan on buying another bottle of this. I would not recommend drinking with this in excess. I woke up the next morning a couple of times and I had greasy ass juice running down my freaking leg before I could make it to the bathroom. Just a few minutes ago I ruined my bed sheets. The damn oil just comes without warning sometimes, I'm too scared to fart anymore...ever. I go to the toilet just to fart. The oil just penetrates through layers of fabric SOOOO quickly. There is no warning sometimes. I am so grateful that most of my embarassing moments have been at home or near it. I can't imagine this happening in public. It's one thing to start your period in public, it's quite another to have a greasy bright orange ass in public. I haven't seen anyone post tips on how to get that stuff out of material. I usually scrub my panties under cold running water with a shout stick and just keep scrubbing till it's not there anymore. If that doesn't work, I scrub it and let it soak overnight in water and then scrub it again and then wash it. That's seemed to always do the trick. I really wish I'd read this site before buying it. I was happier with hydroxycut in the past. I think I'll just take that again...if anything.

The Alli Diet
I was browsing through alot of these reviews. I'm more than 100% positive that everyone who had a problem ruining their underware was because you cheated. This is a great diet. It works. If you eat 0% fat, and low calorie foods, you will be just fine, and won't have to catch your self running to the bathroom every hour!
#146 - Amber - 05/29/2008 - 14:02
alli only works when you do the work
It\'s not a miracle pill. It never claimed to be. If you don\'t follow the plan and change your eating habits you will have bowel problems. That fact is clearly stated on the well written and easy to understand literature provided with each and every package of the product sold. The plain and simple truth is that the product works when you work with it. I\'ve lost 30 pounds. Have NOT had the terrible side effects and am quite happy with it. Did I have to change my eating habits and start excercising? Absolutely. This is not for the lazy. Its not a \"get thin quick\" gimmick. You have to be serious and work the program. If you aren\'t willing to make the healthy changes in your life then don\'t take the pill. It\'s as simple as that.

I haven't laughed this hard in a week
I have enjoyed reading the reviews! I giggled so much my kids wanted to know what was so funny. (I didn't indulge them)

I was scheduled to take this pill tommorrow but may wait til my cycle starts. When my cycle starts I will already be wearing pads. I have a dinner party Saturday and I am in my passion cycle right now. I don't want to suprise my husband by greesing him up unintentionaly. I will take the time to focus on eating very healthfully and developing a workout routine.

I would never buy this product because of the price, monetary and side effects. However, I was given a 12 week supply for a trial through a publishing company. Prayers requested!

Alli review
I started the Alli pill regime and it works great. I have lost 10 pounds in 4 weeks. I do not have any side effects. I only had one episode of loose stools due to my own fault. I had Pizza and ice cream for dinner so I deserved it. I only take one pill a day because I eat very little fat during the day. I like my bigger meal in the evening. If you stick to the plan you will NOT have explosive diahrea. I have never pooped my pants or have had any leakage. You people who do, are doing it all wrong. You also must take vitamin suppliments as they recommend in the literature. My doc checked my B12 and folic and said it is just fine and keep on going. I only have another 15 pounds to go.

I will pass on Alli
I was planning on getting some Alli and starting the plan. After reading some of the responses I will pass. I don't have time to worry about s***ing everywhere. And the people are really not losing any weight. You could lose 1 or 2 pounds a month on your own. In a months time, I would hope to lose at least 4-8 pounds. The product is too expensive for those small numbers and the hassle.

Drama, Drama! The pills work great! If you can't follow instructions than do not take any pill. You will only have those explosive episodes if you eat unhealthy fatty foods. Sounds like most of the people who are complaining are looking for a miracle cure that allows you to eat what you want and still lose weight. I have lost 14 lbs in 5 weeks with just watching what goes in my mouth, it's not rocket science it's a diet!!!

1 year use of Alli diet pill---BEWARE--BEWARE
Does work but you will need to buy new underwear occassionally due to oil staining and it doesnt come out if washed.

my wife and i have developed thibrosis external hemoroids from having loose stools and frequent urgencys to go to the toilet.

my colorectal doctor said due to constant loose stools and urgency and gas it places pressure on the rectum and after so long internal hemoriods come out and become thibrosed external abseses that need imeadeate medical care or surgery removal

we recomend if your over weight you work with your doctor and nutritionist and follow a propper diet with no pills

anybody that doesnt take my advice with develop a absese external hemoroid and you will regret using this product

it destroyed over hundreds of dollars of clothes from oil spotting and it also clogs septic tank pipe

A friend of mine just quit taking Ali, and asked me to post on this site to let people know how harsh this pill can be. You have to be careful and read the directions properly or you will be in the restroom constantly. You have to be very careful not to eat fatty foods while taking this medicine. Take as recommended. It did not work for her, but maybe if it is taken properly it will help those of you who choose to take it to keep out the restroom every 5 minutes.

its not the pill it YOU
All the people that are complaining about taking their squirts are to fat and lazy .. I major in public health and i know for a fact that this pill has helped a lot of people loss extra pounds. All you lazy fatso's need to learn how to eat right and Alli acts as an AID not a solution to your life long dream of laying on the couch watching food net eaching pizza and taco bell. To those who are willing to learn and take steps in improving your life take this pill after the starter kit if done you will know how to live a healthy active life style. to the other fattys join a support group maybe that will take time away from the Wendy's drive thru.

Alli works great for me!
OF course..YOU MUST TAKE TIME TO READ ALL OF THE STARTER PACK! It clearly says what the meal guidelines are to avoid treatment effects. I can promise you that I was "eating healthy" before the alli pill too. But that may not be good enough. I was eating about 30% of my calories from fat already..but the plan requires only 15 % from fat during phase I, then 20% during phase 2 then back up to 30% in Phase 3. It clearly states that you may be in phase 2 or 3 for 1-4 weeks and these phases may not render much weight loss, but is designed to help your digestive system get use to the change and by Phase 3 you should start seeing some GRADUAL and consisten weight loss. NO where , ANY where does it say you can loose "20 pounds in 10 days"! Every review I've seen that complains of the treatment effects and not loosing weight in the first week or two...simply didn't read the instructions! I have followed it completely "by the book", I lost about 4 pounds during phase 1 & 2 (3 weeks). Now in phase 3 for only a week and I've lost another 4 pounds this week. I drink 8-10 glasses of water a day, walk 30-45 minutes EVERYDAY, take multi-vitaminm, and stick to the meal plan. IT WORKS. You must give it time and not be STUPID about it. I occassionally have moment of gas, but not leakage or accidents. Also the bottle says that most treatment effects subside after a couple of weeks. Most of you that have had them quit before then.

Doctor recommended
I have high blood pressure and about 4 months ago I went on a birth control pill that added unwanted pounds on me, I ate better than I ever did and also walk my dog every day, still gained more weight.

So I asked my Doctor if there was any pill she got prescribe for me to assist me in losing weight, I told her I bought slimquik and my husband found them and hid them, she said good for him, they most likely have ingredients that will mess with my hb, she told me to bring in the bottle so she can review the ingredients.

She told me Alli is a pill that would be ok for me, if my Doctor gives me the go ahead on it, I am going to try it.

Bought the pills, and read everything, it makes sense, and they do not lie and tell you that it is a quick fix, which is never the right way anyways, they even tell you the leaking gas you will have if you eat food with too much fat, they tell you like it is.

I have been only taking them for 4 days so far and I am usually only taking 2 pills a day, I have no heart palpations which most other diet pills would give me, I am eating right, and I have a blood pressure monitor, so I can check my bp daily and wow it was lower than it has ever been, I just have to watch it does not go too low, especially with my meds.

I think it is a great pill if you just want a boost while doing everything the right way.

I do take my vitamins at night, and the only thing I get while in bed is my tummy rumbling like I did not eat, but I am not hungry, so this does not bother me.

I think Alli is great, because unlike other diet pills out there, they do not claim to make you lost 8 pounds in a week, and one of the biggest side affects is right on the bottle.

So they do not lie, but as in everything, it is not for everyone.

alli review
So if you take Alli with a fatty meal you WILL poo your pants. Yuck! So I need to spend $60 per bottle to remind myself to not eat fat.

Too bad Alli cannot distinguish HEALTHY fats that cause you to lose weight and are good for your heart.

Alli is nothing more than an overpriced from of chitosan or neopuntia with worse side effects.

By the way people Vitamions A, D, E, and K are Fat Soluble vitamins. So you will be malnourished in these vitamins if you take alli. Is that healthy? NO!

Been using Alli for 4 1/2 months now. Started taking on Valentines day 2 pills a day. Starting weight was 282, now I am at 252. 30 lbs in 4 months. I Love it and will continue to take it. Don't let everyone fool you. If you follow the plan, IT WORKS!!!!

Alli does work and helps you CONTROL yourself
I have taken alli for a couple weeks now and I have lost a few lbs and have had only the treatment effects if I eat bad foods. I think it is great because it can help to control what you eat. I have been on a healthy diet now for about 8 weeks and before even trying alli I lost almost 10lbs all alone with light exercise. I tried it to help my progress. I think it is great for someone that is like me that is not so sure how healthy certain things really are and dont think about it. I plan on just finishing the bottle and sticking with all that alli has taught me on what not to eat. I think it is worth the money!!!!
#165 - melissa - 07/01/2008 - 00:11
Hi, I took alli for about 2 months and I lost 16 pounds. I didnt have any severe side effects except when I cheated a little bit I had some orage oily spots. This stuff really works. I quit taking it to see if I could keep losing weight with out the pill but I didnt:( I started taking slimquick with hoodia because it is alot cheaper than alli but I had horrible side effects DO NOT TAKE SLIMQUICK it made me very sick and had severe chest pains from it. I rather pay a little bit more for Alli and get great results. I recommend alli to everybody that wants to lose weight but listen to the instructions and you will be just find.
#166 - Sylvia - 07/01/2008 - 22:08
Best ever Alli diet plan
I started two years ago with Xenical, doctor perscribed, to loose 50 lbs. This is the same as Alli but in 120mg strength. Alli is exactly the same but in 60mg tablets. Both are Orlistat. My doctor has told me that I am one of the few success stories. I have gone back to a size 8 from being up to a size 14. I am now almost the weight I was 25 yrs ago. This diet plan and med will work if you follow the instructions. I was doing this without being told before it ever became an over the counter purchase. Yes all of the horror stories are true and I experienced all of them, however you learn the common sence to it all. NO fatty foods. I eat under 10grams of fat a day. If you really want to loose stay on a veg and fruit diet for a few weeks and watch the weight come off. There is no mirical drug to do it all. The bottom line is to stop stuffing your face with fatty foods, and get serious about loosing the weight. We as humans eat way more each day then what the body really needs. Loosing weight is all about how badly you want to. It is common sense that if you eat bread, potatoes, butter, pasta, tons of sweets you are not going to shed pounds. So for those of you who keep crying about your weight, get serious, stop stuffing, excersise, (walking being the best)and take Alli to help shed the fat. It works!!!!!

This product didn't really help at all I tried it for the last month. Which was including my diet with about 1500 calories a day. Then 3 hours on a treadmill and i didn't lose more then what i was loosing prior to using this product waste of money.
#168 - Bryan - 07/10/2008 - 11:55
I got tired of reading these reviews because everyone has to blame someone other than themselves.Alli gives you all the pros and cons right up front. They tell you what will happen if you don't do what you are supposed to do. I had accidents but as a previous person said it is well worth having those few accidents. I have been off and on but I have lost 14 lbs since December. uite frankly I don't want to loose it too fast anyway. Ifeel great and even look better. This alli is keeping me accountable to what I should be eating. That's probably the problem with most people they don't want to be accountable to anyone or anything. I tell people and the ones that know me are doing it because they see results on me. It is a little pricey but worth it
#169 - Maureen McInvale - 07/10/2008 - 15:21
I love Ali. I have lost 21 pounds in 3 months with side effects only when I go overboard with high fat foods which they 'tell' you to avoid. However, when it is important to me to have fried wings or cupcakes, I have them at home, anticipating the side effects because I've eaten high fat! I LOVE ALI, and plan to take it for a while.

Only For Obese People
I tried Alli thinking that it would help shed those few extra lbs. along with my daily treadmill routine. Well, I have come to believe this is for people who are extremely over weight and want to get their eating under control. So basically, it's like this: If you are eating foods that are high in fat, you will poop your pants, thus, training you to eat better foods, losing the weight. I think it's just a mind game. But, if it works for you, thats great. It didn't work for me.
Starting weight 140lbs
going to lose 20 lbs!

Doing GREAT on Alli
Ok, I have read a lot of reviews on Alli and I just can't agree with most of them. I have ALWAYS been a very small person. I am 5'2 and for most of my life have been somewhere between 110 - 120 lbs. After having an emergency C-Section with my second child however, things began to go downhill, (or should I say UPHILL!) I thought about taking Alli when it first came out, but I went online and read all about the problems people were having with the "treatment effects" and thought...NO WAY! I stayed at 160 lbs for about two years no matter what I did and then I went on a low carb diet. GREAT way to lose weight fast. TERRIBLE way to maintain your weight. I felt like I was constantly starving and my energy went WAY down. So I stopped it and ballooned to 180 lbs. I was miserable and disgusted and NO LONGER myself. When my husband took me on a cruise for my birthday and I gained 5 more lbs in a week, I decided that was IT!! Even if I had to wear diapers, I refused to be fat anymore. So I went out and bought the Alli Starter Pack and sat down and read through the whole thing. And by that I mean ALL of it, including the part that says NOT to immediately start taking the pills. The part that says GIVE YOURSELF AT LEAST 48 HOURS EATING A HEALTHY, LOW FAT DIET AND BEGIN EXCERCISE BEFORE TAKING THE PILLS. So I did that. Two days of eating healthy, keeping my fat grams under 10 grams (not the full 15) per meal and then I started the Alli. And I waited, stayed near the toilet, but guess what? NO TREATMENT AFFECTS!

I have been on Alli for 20 days now. I walk at least 1 mile EVERY day and I do 250 situps EVERY day. I do not follow the Alli meal plan, instead I just watch my fat and calorie count. I write down EVERYTHING I eat and I tally it all up at the end of the day. I keep my total daily fat count to less that 25 grams and I keep my max calories at 1200-1300. I take my multi-vitamin and I drink LOTS of Crystal Light. So far in the last 20 days I have lost 6 lbs and an inch from my waist. WITH NO TREATMENT EFFECTS AND WITHOUT STARVING. So, it is my opinion that if a person READS THE GUIDELINES and FOLLOWS THE RULES, they should be fine.

Regardless, good luck to EVERYONE who is trying to be healthier and improve their lives!

I followed plan before taking pill and then took the pill for 2 days. I was warned by a friend of the side effects, but continued taking them. Boy I should have listened! Lets face it we need to move more and eat less! That's what I'm sticking too! TOOOO Gross for me, You have to read review#67 she is right on and honest! Laughing, but its so TRUE!

People are making it out to be much worse than it is!
Most of the people who are having bad side effects are probably not following the directions. Don\'t get me wrong, I\'m sure there are a select few people who followed all the rules and still had bad side effects, but for the most part, JUST FOLLOW THE RULES! I\'ve been eating healthy with alli and working out and have already lost 4 pounds th is week. I admit it does give me some bad gas occasionally, but I haven\'t had any explosions, bad poop, of diahrrea. If you are smart about it and are willing to change what you eat, you can lose weight. But don\'t expect to take it and eat whatever you want, and magically get skinny. You have to do your part, but alli helps maximize your weightloss. Just give it a try on a day you can stay home and be close to a toilet, and if it doesn\'t work, I\'m sure you can get a refund.

Horrible, Horrible Pill!
I took 2, TWO pills. Total. One at breakfast, and one at lunch. I am a healthy eater always, I eat very little fat just because of my taste preferences anyway. That evening I was taking a trip but forgot the Alli at home, so I just thought, "Okay, whatever, I'll pick it up again when I get home in a few days." I have no side effects for a day--in fact, I don't think I even went to the bathroom.

The next NIGHT, I was out with friends at a restaurant, and I went to the bathroom. I looked in the bowel and thought I was bleeding, till I realized it wasn't blood, it was oil. I absolutely freaked out, because I didn't even think to associate it with the Alli....eventually I put 2 and 2 together, and just hoped that it was a normal side effect and that it would go away soon. Anyways, it wasn't like the oil was leaking, just when I went #2. By the way, I was wearing a white dress. See where this could be going?

Well, no, I did not shit myself in my white dress...but when I got home I realized that the back of it was covered in oil. It looked like I had sat on a pizza pie. I felt so embarassed because I didn't know how long I'd been walking around like that.

It's been a day since then (nearly 3 days after I took the 2 pills), and the leakage hasn't stopped at all. I am going to a friends house upstate tomorrow where I will want to wear a bathing suit, and if this doesn't stop I won't be able to. Every time I go to the bathroom I feel so stupid for taking Alli without really paying attention to the possible effects.

This was TWO PILLS. And probably much less than 15g of fat per meal. I feel so shitty all the time (no pun intended) and my self esteem is shot. Everyone is different, but I really really suggest you don't take this pill. Spare yourself!
#177 - Sadie - 08/29/2008 - 03:09
It is what it is......
I have practically taken every diet pill on the market and I dont know how many more thousands of dollars I need to spend to realize that a good diet and exercise is the ONLY way of losing weight. I have to say I experienced the side effects of this pill but I asked for it. I consumed things I shouldnt have. It clearly states what you can and cannot eat to avoid such embarrassing moments
#178 - Catherine - 09/02/2008 - 13:52
This is the biggest joke for a diet pill
I took this for almost a week. I was off work this week & thank God! If I wanted the runs, I'd spend $3.00 & down a bottle of milk of magnesia! I eat fruits & vegetables & not a lot of fattening foods. Definitely nothing fried. I leaked enough to change the oil in my car! I know that sounds gross but it's so true! DON'T TAKE ALLI!!

It Really Works for Me and My Daughter
Hi All-

Maybe you stayed in the bathroom, but we have been watching our fat intake daily and I have only had diahrea twice because I went over my meal fat intake. Which is 15 grams per meal. As long as I stay within the calorie and fat intake for each meal there has been absolutely no problems. I have been on the pill 2 weeks and lost 12 pounds. My daughter has been on the pill a month and has lost 15 pounds so we "LOVE IT" and plan to continue taking it until we lose the weight we have set goals for. So don't say it is awful and all that, maybe it was for you but not everyone. Cynthia 9/8/2008
#180 - Cynthia Luna - 09/09/2008 - 11:29
Just to clear some things up...
First off, for those of you who say you have a healthy diet in place and still have treatment effects are full of crap! (pardon the pun) If you actually read up on the product you would know that they give you a certain amount of calories and fat grams to reach each day. That is there for your own good!! If you are not following the plan and reaching your fat or calorie goals then you are going to have treatment effects and you will probably not loose weight. I have been following the plan and I have had tons of success. If you are willing to follow the plan and actually put the effort out there you will see results. Don't worry about what some full of crap person says, try it for yourself or even ask your doctor. People can be so negative sometimes.

I Can Believe This(Is This Really My Body)
I started taking Alli on May 30, 2008. A friend and I have been trying to loose for over 9 years. She called me and told me she lost alot of weight taking Alli and so did her sister. I hadn't seen her but I heard also from others that she did. So I decided to buy a starters bottle for myself. I weighed myself from May 30 (235lbs) after having a baby June of 2007. It is now Sept 15, 2008 and I weight 187lbs. I do exercise and my job requires alot of movement. I walk a 1mile track at a High School 16 times around in the morning and 16 times in the evening twice a week. I also use the ab chair 200 in the morning 200 in the evening when ever I get a chance (maybe twice a week). I love this body and I don't eat healthy but I don't eat lots of greasy foods either. I have changed my diet alot and I stop drinking alcohol. I do not have those accidents that I've heard about either. If I eat to many sweets or something that Alli don't agree with, I get gas and stomach pains. I go to the bathroom regularly. I won't complain. Thanks Alli.

I Can't Believe This(Yes This Is Really My Body)
In, I Can Believe This(Is This Really My Body) I forgot to mention that I was over 200lbs for those 9 years I have been trying to loose weight. The compliments I recieve now from others really boost my ego. I did start in August 2008, after calling the company to reassure it was ok(which they did not recommend),if I can take a double dose to equal the amount of Xenical. I do at times double my doses. I still do not have the side effects that others say they have. I am aiming for that coke bottle figure and I do see it finally coming in. I cheat at times and eat Mc Donalds but, maybe once a month, okay maybe a little more(still no bad side effect). I do have loose stools(maybe once a week) and they are not bad enough to complain about. They do not come without a warning. I don't go at all in my pants and I do go to the bathroom to pass gas (common sense). The only time I really get stomach pains is when I am somewhere there are no bathrooms and I am holding my gas after eating something that Alli don't agree with. My (blood pressure) for the last 10 years have been listed as Chronic Hypertension. After taking Alli and loosing the weight, my blood pressure is completely back to normal and I do not have to take as may meds now. Soon I will be completely off. Alli doesn't make me jettery like other diet pills I have taken in the past and I am dedicated to Alli. I couldn't find the coupon, but it is worth the money to me so I don't mind the price to be beautiful. I love doing more activities with my children and attending events at their school now. Thanks again for changing my life Alli.

If you are dumb enough to eat fast food and take an Alli pill (as I was) - don't laugh - we all ARE or else we wouldn't NEED a pill that blocks fat absorption - you will SEE the side effects. I've taken this pill for months with NO effects - then this a.m. after having a double cheeseburger AND fries from Wendy's............thought I just had to use the bathroom - oh no - not just a regular bathroom visit. It truly is orange oil. Not pretty, not to be graphic, but you do not want to have those effects while at work. I am in nursing school and wear WHITE scrubs. I think I will watch what I eat and exercise more. Not worth the side effects. I think THAT is the purpose of this pill. It's called WAKE UP!!!

Alli worked well for me!
I lost 25 pounds with Alli and don't have the treatment effects ... unless I eat "fatty" foods ... then I have an issue... but only then. While on Alli, I don't need to take heartburn relievers anymore. Not sure why this is, but I am glad about that! Could be because of healthier eating habits too. Alli, along with better eating habits, has helped me and it is the only thing so far that has ... besides working out ... and I don't really like working out ... except for walking! I didn't even have to work out when I took Alli, even though it would be a good idea to!
#186 - Tonya - 10/16/2008 - 13:49
Alli works
Despite reading the above horror stories I decided to try it for myself. I'd question the people aboves bowel control in general if they are pooping their pants.

I ate a whole pizza the night before and had more side effects but nothing uncontrollable!

Orange oil comes out when you poop which looks a bit wierd as it's bright orange but I havent leaked or pooped my pants.

I think if people are having that problem they should really get checked out by a doctor or do some exercises if they can't control their bowels.
#187 - sarah - 10/28/2008 - 11:12
It works for me!
I started this pill last January, so it is almost one year ago. I have lost 15 pounds, which I was never able to do the last 5 years despite exercise. I simply follow the instructions, because that is the type of person I am, and started to see the weight loss. I've had my "accidents", yes, actually three in almost a year. I can tell you I decided to eat that tuna sandwich full of mayonaise, the shrimps and the 3 slices of pizza. It was not the pill, it was my decision, and I went to the bathroom and that's it! I highly recommend it, only if you can follow instructions and committ to yourself and your health. Of course!!! you have to add regular exercise and eat healthy. Or when the hell were you planning to start doing it???

Alli Works, it depends
I've lost over 70 pounds in less than 6 months by dieting and exercising strictly. I started off by strict dieting for a month and then eating badly for a week and using Alli to flush me out. It kept my body from absorbing all the fat i took in on my binge days. :-o
That's all its good for. Alli does work, but the side effect is the orange looking oily stuff comes out. :-o It comes when you poop, fart, and urinate. So have wipes handy. No one is exaggerating when they say you may need to change your pants, but it is also true that is all my fault.

When I'm eating healthy Alli of all things constipates me and slows down my metabolism. this is a side effect not listed on the bottle and I had to flush myself to get started on my weight loss again. I've learned the best way to loose weight is to get on a healthy manageable diet and exercise. I've also learned its ok to treat yourself (manageably) without binging or popping pills. I plan on sticking to that because I don't plan to use pills that make me poop on myself to maintain my weight.

Alli has a dangerous side effects people should know about
Hi. I am a 25 year old that has taken Alli. I was on it two different times. The first time I was on it I was on it for 3 weeks without any problems, until one night when I was in the bed and my heart felt like it was going to jump out of my chest. I thought I was having a heart attack. I had to call 911 and after I was evaluated in the ER, I was told that there were reports of people having severe heart palpatations from the drug. I through my bottle away and 2 months later was stupid enough to try it again, because I never found anything reported on the internet from my own research and had heard that it was such a good drug. I thought the doctor might have been mistaken. Anyway I stopped using it again when I noticed my heart began to flutter. This time I paid close attention, just incase I was wrong. Please watch out for Alli, because who knows what types of long term heart damage I or anyone else has done to themselves

No Effects,
I been taking Alli since Nov. 21st. I started my diet 3 days before like alli recommended. I weighed myself Wednesday and I weighed 195, I've lost 8 pounds so far. But I haven't had any side effects at all. I feel like the pill isn't doing anything. Is the pill even working? I don't know. Every time I diet, I push myself a lot and over exaggerate in workouts and exercises. I drank alli before my thanksgiving meals(I've gotten THAT confident!) and still nothing. I was kind of hoping to get effects so I can feel like the pill is working. One of my cousin took the pill, she told me it can take up to 2 weeks for the effects to start.... My fast weight loss is probably because I don't eat more than 1000 calories a day and my meals all have less than 6grams of fat. I don't eat meat either. I'm confused with the alli pill honestly...

For all of you that had severe side effects I say this "Read the instructions". As for this bias site I say the same to you. yes it blocks good fats... thats why Alli tells you to take a daily vitamin with this drug. Also, the reason all of you have severe side effects is due to the diet. This does encourage a good diet. With a good, low fat diet you won't have the side effects. the higher the fat content the worse the side affects. This is similar to the drug given to alcoholics that makes them hate alcohol. If they drink they get sick. With Alli, if you eat a big mac you will crap a river. Eat right, eat healthy, take a vitamin, and do some mild exercise and you'll loose weight. I'm down from 236 to 182, in great shape while working out only twice a week, lowered my blood pressure, lowered my cholesterol, feel great and now eat healthy. stop taking Alli I'll still eat healthy.

I love this pill
I have lost 10 lbs with Alli! I agree and it makes you very aware of what you are eating. And I know this sounds sick, but when you see "the oil", it makes you feel like it is working. It seriously makes you sooo conscious of what you eat, so that may have helped with my weightloss, but whatever works! The only downfall is the cost of the pills. Be sure to take a vitamen supplement!
#193 - Jenny - 12/10/2008 - 16:15
Excellent Pill!
I very much agree with trent! this pill works wonders if you do wat the instructions tell you to do! i am very pleased with this product, and i have my old body back thanks to it! i weighed 230lbs after i had my first daughter and now i weigh 176 i have been taking it for about 7 or 8 months and it is wonderful. i was 17 years old when i had my daughter and on bed rest my whole pregnancy! this pill seemed too good to be true, but i am very pleased with my results!:-D;-)

Like it so far and oily poop is a beautiful thing.
I started a diet 10 days ago and started Alli 3 days ago. I have lost 3.5lbs already (i think 2 lbs of it was bloating). I will probably only use it for a month or so as a jump start because I already weigh less than what I'm supposed to to be on Alli.

I like the Alli because it makes my stomach feel ever so slightly "off" and that makes me less inclined to eat. ;-) Plus, popping that pill in my mouth before I eat makes me think a little harder about what I'm eating and take it easy on the grease.

I've had two bowel movements on Alli and both times I could literally see the oil floating in the toilet. Gross - i know. Nonetheless, I couldn't help thinking "Wow - better floating there than on my thighs!" Seems like I'm literally flushing my unwanted fat down the toilet.

Alli Does Work
My mom was over 200 lbs and within a month of taking this pill she droped down to 170.. Yeah she exercised and watched what she ate.. All she advised was to take vitamins with it, so you dont get a headache or anything like that!!

So for the people who this didnt work for you, it could mean a couple things...
1. your body does not agree with this product.. Some medications dont agree with everyone!
2. you are not following the directions corectly! you cant just rely on the pill you have to do more!!
Well thats all i have to say about alli
#196 - Liz - 12/17/2008 - 21:52
Alli Worked For ME
Alli worked just fine with me...if your having a lot of oily gas and pooping your pants thats your fault! that pretty much means your eating too much fat which they warn you about...
i started eating smaller and sorta healthier meals and lost 10 pounds in 2 weeks with Alli and worked out everyday for half an hour to 45 mins...I LOVE ALLI :-):-)

as long as you can control yourself and what you eat this pill will work great for u!;-)
#197 - Tammy - 12/28/2008 - 23:17
It works...if you read the paperwork.

I have taken Alli for a while, and have to say I like the results I am seeing. The pills come with nice paperwork that explains how the medication works, and what it does to your body.

Some of the reviews above might be honest reviews from honest people, but I have a feeling they did not follow the diet recommendations set out in the paperwork.

I see their complaints similar to the people who would eat a whole bag of those Olean chips (which was 16 servings) and then complain that they pooped in their pants.

All I can say is read the paperwork that comes with Alli, and you will be fine. I am sure you will have some "treatment effects," but you will learn and soon be trained.

I turned 50 3 years ago was put on Atenolol for high blood pressure 2 years ago. Since then I have steadily put on 30 lbs. The added weight has been a challenge for me because I have always been very fit and I assigned that to a naturally fast metabolism and a high level of physical activity. I pretty much ate whatever I wanted, loving cajun, creole and southern cuisine, great wine and microbrewed beer.

Just recently, I went to my doctor to evaluate my blood pressure med. because of the weight gain and she changed the prescription over to one that is a diurectic (sp?) and recommended Alli to assist in weight loss, saying that it is safe and fine to use with my blood pressure medication. I have been on Alli for 3 days now and feel great. I agree with those who say that it makes me more aware of the fat content in any meal I am taking and if I ever experience a "greasy" stool, then I will know the pill is working and I have consumed fat which is not being taken up by my system and into my blood stream.

I have lost 3 lbs. already, which could be mostly water weight, but I also notice that my appetite is somewhat curbed...perhaps also a psychosomatic reaction. No extra gas, cramping, bloating or....nuclear poops. So far, so good. I'm glad that I'm trying it.

Alli pills
I have been taking Alli pills for going on 2 weeks now and I have not lost a pound and I am eating right and exercising atleast 2-3 a week. The Allie pill does not work and yes girls, it has me bloated, with constant emberrasing gases and I actually pooped my pants ONCE!!!! Its horrible do not take this pill it is a waste of money and health!!!
#200 - Maria - 01/20/2009 - 11:40
Man, it would be cheaper and probably not as unhealthy to drink a bunch of Milk of Magnesia every day. Anybody loses weight when they poop so much - that is why bullemics and anorexics use laxatives. Don't take this stuff!
#201 - julie - 01/26/2009 - 16:32
Alli pills
B-)untill write know i feel great i been taken alli for 2 days it gives me energy and what i notice is that i don't eat as much as before, i don't believe in all those people that are saying that all day you poop i mean who wouldn't poop if you are still eating fatty food you have to cut on all those oily stuff that you see out there on the market so i , think that all those people that poop is because they don't take care of their selfs dam good i guess they don't love their bodies like i do love my own body i'm oly 10 pounds overweight which isw not alot but i steel take Alli no matter what i'm still going to take it my goal is to loose 10 pounds of more

alli chest pains
I started alli 2.5 weeks ago. And chest pains 10days ago. I have been to the doc and have another appt. sched in 3days. I do not know if these are related, but I have noticed others blogging with chest pain soon after taking alli. I too thought I was having a heart attack, it started mild and grew. I am not taking alli now, and my chest pains are getting better. Any other similar experiences?
#203 - tuca - 01/30/2009 - 14:41
Well, Ive been taking Alli for about 1 month, and I constantly squirt in my pants. Seriously, I feel like I have flies constantly following my rear. One time, I sneezed and pooped so much that it literally came out of my skirt onto the floor. Seriously, I poop my pants daily. Im so sick of pooping in my pants, that I cant stand it.
#204 - Dian Rhea - 01/30/2009 - 21:01
I've been taking Alli & I've had no side effects.
#205 - Tara - 02/02/2009 - 16:56
I started taking Alli as a Rx from my doctor Zenical. Over the last two years I have taken it off and on for a total weight loss of 55lbs. I have had some of the side effects, but nothing as bad a pooping my pants. I highly recommend Alli. I am at my goal weight and take it now occasionally when I am going to be eating a fatty meal. As for the weight I have not put a pound back on. ;-)
#206 - Kathy - 02/04/2009 - 00:37
I started taking Alli after talking to my doctor about weightloss. It was right before it went public, and I was pretty anxious to see what it could do for me. I'm 5'7 and I was 230 lbs when I started. Within six months I was down to 180 lbs, with no special dieting and only very light exercise. I did have very orange loose stools, but only when I was dumb enough to eat very fatty foods. I stopped losing weight after I hit the 180 mark and then two months later started gaining weight back, even though I was still taking Alli. I had had blood work done right before I started taking it; my triglycerides were slightly elevated, but my thyroid was fine. I just got the results back from my recent blood work, one year later, and I have hypothyroidism. I started checking online and in medical journals, and there's a very big chance that this is related to the Alli, I'm sorry to say. #1. Alli doesn't just block bad fats, but also good fats that you're body needs as well; #2. Lack of iodine is one of the major causes of hypothyroidism, which is why salt companies started adding iodine to salt. Alli blocks vitamins as well as fat, which is right on the bottle. I've just had another round of blood work done, trying to find the cause of my hypothyroidism, and I'll keep you posted as to whether it turns out to be caused by Alli.

Very sad results!!
I have been taking Alli off and on for about a year now..and..well...I have gained a total of 26 lbs.!!!
I did weightwatchers a few years ago and lost 60lbs., but had another kids and wanted something to give me an extra push this time around. I went back on weightwatchers and bought Alli, I workout 5 times per week at 60-65 minutes a workout, but i wasn't losing any weight, I was gaining and also, i haven't had a solid poop in 1 year, plus I seem to have bad stomach cramps all the time. I went to my Dr. to have my thyroid checked and what not, and with his help, he has concluded that my problem was the pills and that I should stop taking them A.S.A.P.. I have stopped taking them and am hapy to report that I have lost 6lbs. this week following my weightwatchers plan and my workout schedule. DO NOT BUY THIS PILL, GO TO WEIGHTWATCHERS INSTEAD!!!
Thanks for listening:)

I have been taking alli for a few days now an so far really like it! I am recording what i eat and havent had any "pooping" problems. Alli is a great reminder to not over indulge in fat because you will pay the price if you do.
#209 - Abbey - 02/17/2009 - 21:59
I was thinking about taking this, but I just changed my mind. Poop stories are HYSTERICAL though!! Thanks for the laugh!!
#210 - Lee - 02/21/2009 - 22:16
You know what.. most of you guys are posting bad reviews because YOU used the product incorrectly. It's not magic.. it clearly states on the label that you MUST have a low fat diet. You can't blame your poor diet or lack of exercise on Alli and say that means it doesn't work. My stools are more orange in color but I certainly haven't had diharrea or accidents. I don't know how well it is working yet because I do not own a scale and I weigh myself about every two weeks.. but I do know I was losing weight like crazy before I started taking it so I am hoping this pill will help this trend to continue.

#213 - david - 03/09/2009 - 18:09
I have been taking Alli and have not been experiencing any of these horrible side effects. It is suppossed to "teach you a lesson" if you eat something that has too many fat grams in it (double cheeseburger, whopper, etc.). I made homemade enchalada's and didn't experience the horrifying side effects. I counted all of the calories and fat grams prior to making it and make sure I had the leanest meat possible and all I got was a few orange oily spots in the toilet after a bowel movement. I never had any leakage and have not crapped my pants yet. It is mainly there to teach yourself how to eat right and if you splurge, well, there will be a consequence. I have been working out on my eliptical doing 3200 steps every night, eating the right amount of calories and under the total fat grams per meal, and it is definately working for me. I think I might be able to get into that bikini this summer. Some of you should have read the booklets that came with the program first before taking it thinking "this is gonna be so easy, I can eat whatever I want!" Well, if that is your train of thought then you might just have a crappy day.

I've been on Alli for a week now....I've lost 5 pounds so far and I haven't had any side effects. If you are thinking about trying it, I say go for it. You just can't stick with your old eating habits. Read the label or even better, check out their website. Yea, if you go and scarf a double whopper, fries and milkshake, yea, you're going to have side states that right on the package. You have to lower your fat intake. People need to be responsible for themselves and from what I've read on here, they're just looking for someone to blame and making more excuses for themselves. It helps to read, people. I recommend Alli.
#216 - Jocelyn - 03/19/2009 - 13:50
Bottom line, if you aren't completely following the instructions, you WILL have treatment effects. I ate too much and had french fries. All night I felt bloated, the next day I had some soft stools, orange oil floating in the toilet and had the urge to go several more times that day. Went shopping, didn't poop on myself.

When I follow the instructions.........there are no treatment effects.

It's not a miracle drug, just keeps you honest.
#217 - TheRunningNurse - 03/22/2009 - 18:34
My wife and I have been using Alli for just over a month, she's lost 13lbs & I've lost 15lbs. This was done without any exercise but eating heathily. :-D

We haven't suffered from cramps aches or anything like that nor have we ever had to rush to the toilet. In going to the toilet, stools are sometimes softer with an orangey coloured discharge which is the fat being extracted. Not the best of sights or thoughts but I'd rather that be in the toilet than in me. :-P

I read that some people are having to wear pads or carry a change of underwear, which gets me thinking, what on earth are these people eating?? If you're going to stuff your faces with loads of fatty foods, you should expect to get the nasty treatment effects. This product wont work for everyone but it should for the majority, provided you follow the instructions.

In summary, so far so good. I haven't shat myself and I don't bloody intend to either!!
#218 - Alexander_C - 03/28/2009 - 12:41
I've been on Alli for about 3 weeks now and have lost a total of 12 pounds. I'm only about 20 pounds overweight and nothing else has helped. I exercise like I'm supposed to and eat a low fat diet. I've had a couple of incidences with the pooping but nothing that isn't manageable. If anything, it's told me that what I'm eating is bad. I love this product. As for it blocking "good" things in food too... the starter kit flat out tells you that you need to take a multivitamin every day before bedtime. I had blood work done before I started the medication and again recently and my cholesterol and triglycerides were down :) I'm very impressed with this product and highly recommend it as long as you follow with the inserts tell you to do. If you're looking to maintain your same eating habit and just pop a pill to make you lose weight then you obviously aren't serious about losing weight yet.
Thanks for reading!

;-) Alli truly works my docter told me about this pill. I put off using it because of all the horror stories buttttt.... It really does work if you follow the diet plan and eat right . I started this diet 2 and ahalf wekks ago and i have lost 13 pounds and have had only one problem because I ate something I shouldent have. So if you really want to loose weight and are serious and ready to follow a very strict diet then really you have nothing to loose but pounds I love it!!!
#221 - Christina - 04/09/2009 - 21:22
Well been on Alli for 3 weeks now lost about 15 pounds so i am very happy, no side effects just slightly looser stools at times!! i am watching what i eat very carefully hardly any fatty stuff!! I think Alli is a good product maybe not just as a diet pill but as an attitude changer as you know what will happen if you eat bad foods!!, i am only going to take for one month then continue the low fat diet and see how i get on!! Oh drink plenty of water and exercise and you will get on great IMO!!
#222 - Phil - 04/21/2009 - 05:56

#223 - christine - 04/24/2009 - 23:37
Well, I've only been taking it off and on for a few weeks, I am down 3 lbs, however the effects are not pleasant! I thought it to be a good idea to eat hamburger BBQ sandwiches 2 days ago (!) yesterday I had the orange poop and oil in teh toilet. Today, I am at work, and passed a lil gas, oops! Now, I have an orange stain on my undies and my PANTS!!! I have a sweater around my waist, so yeah, don't eat high fat with this! I am still up in the air on whether I like it or not.:-[]
#224 - Jen - 04/29/2009 - 12:28
:oops:this was no bueno. I am 21 years old and a little overweight and decided to take alli to control it. i needed a little extra something to get me over the hump of stalemate weight loss. i began taking it and thats when it all went downhill. you basically poop out the fat and oils of your food. i know what everyone means now because it did happen to me. any fat taken in goes strait out and quickly. its explosive when you go and even stains the toilet if not scrubbed. its embarasing and not necessary. its uncomfortable and you never know when its gonna hit you. like others i was at work. and when it happened i didnt know exactly what was happening it was that strange.

i really didnt loose that much weight either about 10 pounds at first but soon it came back and still didnt come off. i decided to quit taking it specially with its being really expensive compared to other pills. well i am bloated and actually gained a few pounds in just the couple days since i have stopped. i wish i never started taking it and never will again. not a miracle pill at all.
#225 - no lie or you will cry - 04/29/2009 - 23:55
i took alli for 2 weeks and i already lost 4 pounds. i needed to go bathroom around 3 or 4 times a day but it is ok for me.... as i gained weight before because i only go bathroom once a week or once in 2 weeks times... so now i feel happy of going bathroom other may think i m crazy of going bathroom but i normally need to take some medicine to go bathroom and all that medicines are horrible and make me vomit and so on... now alli is best one for me to loose weight. NOw my size is 14 and i hope to get size 10 withinn 3 months love it Alli
#226 - cho - 05/01/2009 - 07:36

I am 100% sure that Alli gives me the worst Classic type MIGRAINE after just 1 tablet.Took the prescription drug several years ago, started getting frequent migraines, wasn\'t sure if drug causing them, so stopped. Get migraine maybe once a year now. Took 1 Alli tablet this week at dinnertime and surprise surprise vicious migraine attack the next day.
If you suffer from classic migraine please be wary and make sure you have migraine medication with you just incase
#228 - natalie - 05/14/2009 - 06:33
;-) I can say only one thing, It works wonders , Ive lost 14lb in 3 weeks thats 1 stone , I have cut back my fat intake , however without alli I reckon I would have given up. If you eat properly then the side effects are no worse than the after effects of a curry. I will be recommending it to all my friends, 100%
#229 - paul - 05/18/2009 - 04:29
Alli helped me lose 13 pounds, at 5foot 7 inches i was at 173, right now i am flexing back and forth between the 158 to 160 mark, I did not have any "accidents" i have notice the orange in the toliet, I have been on it for about a month and a half, If i know i am going out and hte meal will be fatty, i dont take the pills at all that day as i dont want to have any "side effects" while i am out and about.
#230 - Mary - 05/19/2009 - 11:14
Had good results - the diarrhea is controllable if you watch your fat intake... Alli is supposed to complement a healthy lifestyle after all - not a license to east anything! But I am having weird chest pains like other people mention on this page.... gonna lay off for a while and just concentrate on healthy eating and workouts without Alli.........
#231 - LM - 05/23/2009 - 12:50
I am on my second week with Alli and I lost 7 pounds the first week through diet and excercise. I do admit that you MUST mentally commit to changing the type of food you eat because you could experience side effects but the pill allows for the CORRECT amount of fat to be absorbed by the body and it teaches you to avoid foods that are overly fatty.
#232 - G - 05/24/2009 - 21:12
I stupidly purchased Alli before I read all the reviews etc.I have no reason to think it does not work but when I read the way you had to diet as in 3 meals per day watching the recommended amount of fat is not exceeded with each meal then I realised this is not the pill for me. I have lost weight over the years at different slimming clubs and for me personally the WW's diet was the best. Before you ask how I am still overweight it is because after losing I went crazy with food and the weight piled on. With most slimming club diets you can save some points or whatever each day (amount as recommended)and use this to treat yourself any way you wish...NOT with Alli and this is where I know I would fall down as I always look forward to a meal out Sat evening and some wine. Looking forward to this sees me through my dieting week. My problem with following the WW's diet I eat toast and marmalade at breakast as I always do, have something like fruit or sandwich at lunch and have a full evening meal though watching not to overdo it. Therefore with 2 meals of the day I really haven't sufficient fat intake for Alli. I do take an Alli with my evening meal and have had absolutely no side effects whatsoever. In 2 weeks I have lost 7lb but on WW's diet this would be normal for me in the early weeks so unsure if I can credit it to Alli. I am sure it does work if taken as recommended but alas that stlye of dieting is not for everyone.
#233 - Dee - 05/25/2009 - 12:14
alli works great for most. but you really have to read all of the documentation that comes with this product.i have lost 72 pounds in about 6 months. if you eat what you should you will have little or no symptoms. use it as a tool to help you stay away from the junk food. i give it two thumbs up and am so thankful to have it. if you do have a few problems with leakage learn from it and modify your fat intake. sure not every product is for everyone but i would rather have a few minor side effects and be healther and slimer:-D

Who in their right mind would take this pill?
Is it really worth the risk of crapping your pants, to lose weight?
Why can't people just do the simple thing - eat healthily and exercise. It's not rocket science, guys, just quit being so damn lazy!
My friend is morbidly obese, and has been for as long as I can remember. (I've known her from a young age). She's now 23 and decided to try out Alli. It was excellent to begin with (when she stuck to the plan), although she didn't lose a lot of weight.
However, one night, it was our mutual friends 21st, and she had us round for Chinese. My fat friend spent the night crapping herself and feeling like sh!t, just to celebrate her friends birthday.

So if you want to still live a life, and treat yourself now and then.. don't bother wasting your money on this shizz!
#236 - Nicole - 06/29/2009 - 10:45
So, I'm starting to get how this Alli works... it puts the fear of God into you about soiling yourself, so you don't eat any fatty food. That's no more magical than teaching your dog not to crap on the kitchen floor.
#237 - Emma - 07/05/2009 - 18:28
I took this product and immediately noticed shrinkage. My girlfriend couldn't believe it; it's as if I'm always standing wet in a very cold room. I'm not that big to begin with. But I have to stick with it b/c it works. It's making me smaller everywhere!
#238 - Shahanur Rahman - 07/08/2009 - 12:35
21days 5Lbs and still counting.
You are the reason you get the oily, poop and gas. daaaaaah, that\'s the essence of the drug to help your body not absorb xss fat. it is like a short cut. the great thing is this drug does not mess with ur brain like other drugs. It is a wake up call drug. think of where the fat would have ended up if not in ur pants.....your arteries and then high cholesterol.. heart attack. It is as if some pple just use any weight loss drug without bothering to inform themselves how it works and then they get the treatment effects and cry wolf. . some pple are just too lazy to make proper changes.
#239 - tola - 07/08/2009 - 13:04
Dont do this pill. Waste of money and because of the oily leaks and all the bathroom visits if you make it to the bathroom. I got a awful bladder infection....not good! Will tell everyone not to buy it was bad
#240 - Will make you get a bladder infection - 07/15/2009 - 18:39
Good Product. I lost 7 pounds in six weeks so far. Just eat smart. Due to my own fault I had two accidents by eating way to fatty foods. WAKE-UP people, there is no miracle drug. I am cutting my portion size down and eating healthy. I hope to lose another 20 pounds. Good Luck!:-)
#241 - Bella - 07/23/2009 - 18:23
I think these tablets are brilliant!! I have been taking them for 4 weeks and lost 15lbs!! All thses people that say the had trouble with having accidents, thats because you weren't eating a low fat diet! I have had a couple accidents but then its been my own fault... I have got my confidence back now... even droppped a clothes size!! Gives up the boost to try even harder. Went for a 15 min walk everyday but had bad weather so gave up!! do 100 sit ups a day 50 in the morning and 50 in the evening, just to tone the jelly belly up!!! IT HAS MADE ME FEEL GOOD ABOUT MYSELF AGAIN!!

#243 - Justine - 07/28/2009 - 23:43
I absolutely love the results but not the "leakage." I started taking the pill roughly 2 weeks ago. I lost 5 lbs but quickly learned not to eat fast food :-o After eating pizza, I had to make an emergency stop at a friends house to release my bowels:-[]That was the only time I soiled my pants. Other than that, I eat healthier and see rapid results.
#244 - Angie - 08/08/2009 - 19:07
I took this as well, watched what I was eating n didnt have any problem with treatment effects but I did develope problems with my gallbladder n had to have surgery to have it removed. Not to mention there were complications n I was in the hospital for a whole week! Don't take this product!!:-o

Responding to Justine's remarks
Justine I am seriously thinking about using alli myself. I feel that you are the one judging people. They have already use the product and giving their opinion on their. You have not even use it and you are trying to tell some one something that you have know idea about. Use it the product, and I will to, then we can discuss it... Think first.

Alli SIde Effect.
I bough Alli pills because I felt like i needed that extra push. It took me about a year to actually choose what diet pills to buy. However, I met a woman who lost about 20 pds in a month on Alli pill and looked healthy as ever. So i decided that buy Alli. I cannot say i eat unhealthy but because of my busy life style I do not have eating pattern and eat from time to time, especially when I get home in the evenings. So i started a healthy diet about two weeks ago and started Alli pills around 4 days ago. I do to bathrooms once a day (for a biggy) which i usually do anyways. I fell great and I only had chest pain once, but I do have sometimes so I do not want to blame it on Alli. Other then that i feel healthier and looking forward to loosing weight.
#247 - Samantha Brown - 08/20/2009 - 00:19
I have been taking ALLI for about 3 weeks. I do NOT take it every day- and maybe this is why the effects have not been bad for me. I eat very healthy and run several miles every day, but I still like to "splurge" and eat food I shouldn't every once in awhile. I eat fruit for breakfast and salads, brown rice, and grilled chicken for breakfast. But on the occasion (usually once a week) that I INTEND to go "off plan" and have a treat, I take alli. Today I ate a peice of pizza and some frozen yogurt. I did not have horrible effects. I was gassy and my stools were oily, but, that was to be expected. This has been the case every time I've used alli, because I only take it with "bad" foods. I have been losing weight continuously for several months, and I have been eating one treat a week since I began. I think ALLI aids on my treat days... or at least it makes me feel that way?
I would reccommend alli if you can control your meals and are using it in addition to exercise and a healthy diet.
Good luck!
#248 - Christine - 08/23/2009 - 00:49
I eat right and excersise every day before taking alli. Started taking it on the first of the month and now its the last week of the month and i have lost 9 pounds so far. I dont eat more than 30 grams of fat a day and i had no side affects what so ever. I think that people that say they had a hard time controlling there bowl functions is just cuz they dont eat right. I think anyone who lives a healthy life style but just needs a boost cuz they have hit a point where they cant loose anymore. I would try this to boost ur metabolism back up agian. It works.

It's All True - Good and Bad
I tried this product for a month with some positive results. Out of sheer fear of crapping my pants, I stayed away from fatty foods. Plus, as a diabetic, I stay away from starches, carbs or anything that could turn into sugar which, combined with rigorous exercise three times a week, helped me immensely. So yes, I did lose weight. The fear kept me from straying away from a healthy diet, which in turn helped me to create a routine of sensible eating and frequent exercise.

Now the downside: I don't know what I ate that made Alli mad, but I woke up one night thinking I had started my period, only to discover that I CRAPPED IN MY BED!!! I'm married and you can't imagine what it's like to have to run to the bathroom covered in poo to take a bath, and then wake up your dead tired husband so you can change all the bed linen. He wanted to get upset but he couldn't stop laughing at me. So humiliating! I stopped taking this crap immediately and started taking Leptopril. In four months time, I'VE LOST 30 LBS. Now that I'm hearing about the liver damage that Alli causes, I'm thankful I only took it for a month. That $60.00 was a lot of money to pay for ruined bed linen and the risk of liver failure.
#250 - Gina - 09/08/2009 - 22:44
I have been taken Alli for two months now and it has work great for me but the only problem was now you hear all the news people saying that it's cause's liver damage now i have stop taken the pills and i really liked it it worked for me and i'm sad i can't use it!!!!!!!!!! :-(

I started this pill last weekend.. I have never used the restroom so much in one day.. I HATE IT the Leakage is the nastiest thing in the world.. I have had more accidents in a week then my neice has in her life and she is 3!! I DO not recommend this pill for anyone with a job or a social life because it will be ruined when you leak on yourself! today is my last day with this pill!
#252 - Krystal - 09/14/2009 - 22:30
I was quite impressed with the starter package and all its contents. I came across this review site after I purchased the product. I felt like it was working within the first few days of taking the dosages - decreased appetite and more energy. Then I missed one day over the weekend because I went out of town and for the next 4 days, my underwear was filled with the fat that Alli had blocked from my food intake. Although I knew that Alli was supposed to block fat, I did not expect it to come out somewhere else. It was very unexpected, uncomfortable, inconvenient, and quite embarrassing, really. I suggest not taking this product at all unless you do not mind changing your underwear several times a day or wearing a pad so that you do not have to throw away your underwear.

Hi I have often given myself the title diet queen as I have always battled with my weight and have always tried the newest diets going, the only diet that has givem tremendous results is Lighter life....I have recently ad a baby and am still on maternity leave from work so unfortuneatly for myself cannot afford to do the lighter life programme. I read up on Alli and spoke to many friends who had used it but moaned about the famous \"Leakage\". But just like when you go to watch a movie in the cinema some will say its a rubbish film and some will say its great, then you will go and se for yourself and think hmmm that was a good film actually.I beleive its the same with any diet or pill TRY IT OUT FOR YOURSELF DO IT PROPERLY DONT EXPECT SUPERFAST UNREALISTIC REAULTS,GIVE IT AT LEAST 6 WEEKS its not just about checkin labels on food at teh supermarket as homecooked foods are harder to monitor fat and some meat already contains lots of fat even before its cooked. I have been taking Alli for 3 weeks and have lost half a stone I have also started exercise classes, I have experienced terrible leakage but thats whan I have eaten a highly fatty meal. The good thing is I am slowly learning how to use this pill corectly and now know I can still terat myself to guilty pleasures but in moderation.
People give it a chance just make sure you follow the rules.
#254 - candy girl - 09/20/2009 - 05:34
I have been taking Alli for about 1 week and have already lost 3 pounds. I have not had any side effects. It seems that the people that are having a problem with "messing up their pants" are the ones that are on a weight loss supplement and are continuing to eat the same way. For me the point of taking this is to help absorb fat so that I can lose weight but you still have to be careful what you eat. Don't use this product as an excuse to eat what you want anytime you want. You still have to think about other health issues. You may lose weight and still eat what you want but you have to be careful not to get high cholesterol, high blood pressure and other health issues. Please take full advantage of this product and lose the weight and change eating habits. Good Luck to everyone. I know that we all have the same goal in mind.

Alli Orlistat
Well, I don't see the problem with steak, in fact lean protein is recommended. I think if you need to lose a few kilos Alli really does the trick - as long as you do SOME exercise and eat fairly well.
I went from 91 to 87 kilos in 2 months with no diet changes (I usually eat about 2000 cal per day) about 1 1/2 hours of swimming and walking per week and...Alli! It really helped, and I only used it about 4 or 5 times a week with meals containing the highest fat content. I could lose weight faster with a stricter diet but this is fine for me.
So, I can lose 1 kilo per month without Alli, and a little more than 2 kilos with Alli. I'm quite happy with the product, but it's not comfortable for long term use.I'm staying on it for another month I think, maybe 2. 84 kilos is my goal.
#257 - Penny - 10/07/2009 - 10:12
I started eating healthy and working out 2 1/2 months ago. I was consistently losing 3 pounds per week (I have a lot of weight to lose). About a month into my reducing program I added Alli. Since then I have lost an extra 1/2 to 1 full pound per week. The pills work. I only have treatment effects if I don't follow directions and eat a high fat meal. I have lost 45 pounds so far.
The people on this blog who claim they eat healthy and exercise would NOT need to take Alli because they shouldn't be overweight to begin with. The ones who haven't lost any weight on these pills or have treatment effects are all lying because they aren't being honest about what they put in their mouths.

Wake up people. You can't lose weight unless you are honest with yourselves. This product works if you follow the directions, otherwise the FDA wouldn't approve it!

Just purchased Alli on Tuesday - Am fascinated with the oil thing. To think that is what stays with you when you eat badly just makes me want to hurl. A friend and I are collaborating secretively on this at work - but we laugh all the time about the "toilet ring", "oily gas", and other terms that are truly funny. Don't know if it works yet - will continue to take it and let you know.
#261 - Erika - 12/18/2009 - 15:24
I had heard the horror stories about alli but thought okay, some upset stomach wont kill me. I didnt realize it was uncontrollable and came out of nowhere!! I was walking in the mall and thought it was just gas and this oily poop squirted down my leg and all over my pants! I only took alli for 4 days and am now off it, but I am still having digestive problems weeks later. DO NOT TAKE THIS PILL.
#262 - courtney - 01/03/2010 - 12:51
:-P....i agree that it scares the crap out of you more than the will ruin lots of underware and no amount of toilet flushing will remove the grease ring you leave in your toilet.....throughout my alli experience (1 month) i also began being a vegetarian, awesome way to shed pounds and have a "good" poop, not an embaraasing one that hurts.....exercise and remember you are what you eat!!
#263 - abbee - 01/05/2010 - 21:08

I started taking this today. I am keeping a food log and see what will happen. I will see if I have any side effects. I was talking with my doctor because I have about 10-15 lbs to lose. They had free samples, two 21 pill starter packs. I ate fruit for breakfast and green beans and ham sandwitch for lunch and plan to walk 10,000 steps a day (2915 so far). :-o

;-) I have been taking alli for 1 week i lost abt 2 pounds and i only take one pill a day cause i really dont eat anything bad for breakfast and lunch .I never had a poop episode but i did notice the oil in the toilet and i deff would rather it be in there then be in me thats nasty !
#268 - deborah - 01/09/2010 - 19:13
I have been taking Alli for 4 days and have had no side affects at all but I think the reason is by knowing that you may have the side effects you make sure you don't eat foods heavy in fat but I ate two taco's the other night and nothing happened. I haven't seen any results but I'm really not expecting to see too much in the first week. I made sure I read all the info that comes with the start kit before committing. Walmart has the 60 day supply for $25 right now.
#269 - Sharon - 01/13/2010 - 12:58
Just started taking the pill today, the stories are hilarious, sorry, do the right thing. I know several people who have been very successful because they did the right thing. And for those who are not going to try it based on the negative posts, remember there are plenty of great comments. Why are we so quick to believe the negative over the postive, try changing your internal dialogue. Or are you the ones looking for a quick fix????
#270 - Cheryl - 01/15/2010 - 22:58
You only have the side effect if you eat a extremely fattening meal.So all the people with the problem are eating way to much fatty food.If you are a healthy eater FOR REAL you will never have a side effect. It is funny how everybody claims they eat so healthy but are pooping in their underwear.
If you get a stain in your underwear a Tide stain stick or BIORE face wash will get it out no problem.
I am still losing weight on it because i check every meal i eat and how much fat the meal contains!
#271 - m72 - 01/18/2010 - 04:34
Hello Everyone:

First and foremost, people that are not using the Alli product should not comment about it because they don\'t have any experience and are merely going by what treatment effects (side effects) others are having. Right off the top that is not intelligent and perhaps you shouldn’t try Alli at all, since you can’t understand things for yourself.

Each of us is individual people and we will have different experiences depending on what we are doing. I have read about so many unsatisfied customers but yet they never tell you what they are truly eating; they simple say that they are leaking oil, having diarrhea, stomach cramps, bloating, etc. Well, to tell you the truth if you can read, then you wouldn\'t be bad mouthing Alli. Follow the instructions and only after doing so and if you still have the same issues then can you make the horrible statements that most of you find yourself doing.

Remember, there are no magical pills in a bottle or anywhere in this world for that matter. Alli is not the miracle that we are hoping for. If you eat like a pig, continue to consume more than 15 grams of fat per meal, guess what? Alli will not work for you. Once in your lifetime, follow the simple rules that are easily set forth for you. The reading and following of instructions doesn’t take a rocket scientist to understand. If you need a magnifying glass or your reading glasses get them before you read the instructions and you will do fine.

Many people believe that if they are eating a salad with loads of greasy toppings not to mention the fatty salad dressing; they are indeed eating healthy. Eating healthy is having a balance meal (a small portion of lean meat, small amount of complex carbohydrates, non-starchy vegetables with or without a salad with a small amount of salad dressing). The idea is reduction not to elimination because if you give up everything that you have being eating all along when you return to them (post dieting), you will go back to those very same habits of overeating. No food is wrong for you if eaten in proportion.

If people believe that eating a 5-cheese pizza is healthy they are wrong. One slice of pizza with a salad and small amount of dressing is more desirable and healthier for your body. Control, control, control is the key with Alli.

The scoop on exercising is that it doesn\'t help you to lose weight. Instead exercise helps your heart to pump blood easier throughout your body and keeps your joints flexible so that moving is easier and your body won’t be stiff and painful. To lose weight we have to reduce the amount of calories that we eat, bottom line! For those that are already exercising and eating healthy as they allege, then you should be fine and shouldn\'t have any weight problems. If you are telling yourself that you eat healthy and merely thinking of exercising and not doing either; then you have yourself for a fool.

If you only have 10 lbs. to loose, it just didn\'t pop-up because you were eating healthy and staying active. It happened because you over ate. Don\'t think that Alli will allow you to eat everything on a restaurant menu or all the food from your pantry and refrigerator and you will still look like skinny mini. Get real people and use common knowledge, we gain weight whether it is 10 lbs or 100 lbs. because we overeat, it is that simple.

Think of the following: we need carbohydrates to give us energy. Protein to build and maintain body cells, and fat to absorb vitamins from vegetable and salads besides making our skin soft, and making bathroom moments easier. We also need sugar to help create insulin and salt for sodium but only in small portions.

We all know what we need to do but it is so much easier to eat junk because it is quicker and we don’t have to do the chopping and cooking. Before I educated myself I would eat whatever I wanted and that is why I now have pounds to lose. Now that I know my mistake and I am not afraid to be honest, I am on the path to a new me but I am not making any excuses. Alli will not cause you any chest pains and other ailments unrelated to the treatment effects (side effects of Alli) that people say they are having. Examine what you are doing throughout the day and find another culprit for your issues that doesn’t have anything to do with Alli. Don’t be like the fox; it said that the grape were sour when he/she couldn’t get it.

Those of you that are complaining about leakage, oil on your undergarments when you pass gas, and diarrhea; truly have to be real with yourself and go back and read the label on the Alli bottle, the container that came with the product, the information package, or go to; register and get the help you need. Sitting back and complaining is the same situation that you found yourself in when you ate too much and gain the weight and now want Alli to fix it overnight. Bad behavioral problems are how we gain weight with the exception of those people that have certain illnesses that may be causing their weight problems. There are some people that do not eat much and are fairly active but still have weight issues due to illness or medications that they take.

If you eat the way you please then you will gain the weight in the same manner. Remember the nursery rhyme: \'Jack Sprat could eat no fat, his wife could eat no lean but between them both, they lick the platter clean.\" Don\'t be a Jack Sprat and his wife when you sit down to eat your food. Follow Jack\'s simple plan (not his wife) by eating lean and in small portions, you too will be happy. On the other hand, if you eat like Jack’s wife then you will find yourself thinking that you are eating healthy. Use your brain power. God just didn’t give you a head to comb your hair or pretty up your face. Those things inside your heads are call neurons, use them before you lose them.

For those of you that are afraid of your own stool, just maybe you shouldn\'t eat any food then there won\'t be anything to come out of your body. Food is needed to replenish the cells in our bodies. It is also necessary to eliminate the waste that your body doesn\'t use. Why are you all so afraid of your stool? If it too stink that it smells like something died in you, then you need to clean your body by taking herbal laxative (read the package) and other natural products to clean your large intestine (colon) and well as the small intestine. It is believe that death begins in the colon because we eat too much and don’t consider cleaning our inside but pay way too much attention on the outside which is just a camouflage of being healthy. Your stool is waste and it won\'t smell good but it shouldn’t be stinking that if someone uses the bathroom behind you it is in the air. If it is too stink, and that’s what it sounds like due to the fear of thinking about your own stool, you must do something to help yourself. We are want we eat. If junk goes into your body, then only junk will come out. What goes in must come out!

Ladies, you all know that nothing is worst than having your monthly period. So when you are talking about grease coming out of your body, I am sure that it is not as bad as period blood. The smell of period blood alone is no perfume or air freshener and you know it. Don\'t sweat the small things. Eat less fat and you won\'t have to think about orange fat coming out of you or the need to use a diaper or sanitary pad while on Alli. If grease gets on your underwear, pants, or skirt; wash it immediately by hand with soap and rise with Pine Oil, Dettol (British Product), or other disinfectant (that are safe to use on your clothes), if the grease stain is still there when the clothes has dried, use body power (baby powder or other talc powder will remove grease stain). Spread it on the grease area and leave it there and wash it when you do your regular laundry. Grease from your body won’t stain or shouldn’t stay on your clothes permanently, unless it is the coloring from the Alli pill. You should also be washing your underwear by themselves with a disinfectant.

Those that are followers in deciding not to use Alli without first trying it because of the reviews of others should try it for themselves and see what will happen if you follow the instructions. Be a leader and think for yourself and don’t go with the flow. Everyone has different habits and if followed the right way Alli will work. Most people can’t find themselves following minor rules so it can be hard for them to follow anything that is going to change their behaviors.
Be kind to yourself, if you must wipe up grease stain because you didn’t listen to rules are rules; don’t wipe it too hard that your butt is sore. Use a combination of baby wipes and toilet paper and do it gently and take a shower. It doesn’t hurt to take a shower to feel and smell clean. Your underwear will thank you for it and less bacteria will be there to remove from your panties or briefs when you wash. These are hygiene issues that we should be practicing to keep our bodies clean and free of diseases.

Indeed, this posting is very lengthy but if you took the time to read the entire post then you would have educated yourself at no cost, just your time to acquire common sense that you should have already known!

Take care of yourselves, you only have this one body and only one time to make a good impression for yourself; not for anyone else.

Good Luck!

This product works. It works for me. I lost 35lbs gradually and WOW! I only took one pill a day and that was in the morning when I would have breakfast. I experience the oiliness only when I had pizza or something with high fat. Pretty neat because I could enjoy what I wanted from time to time and it also help me go to the restroom on a regular basis. What works for me is wearing a panty liner. Heck we do that as ladies anyway. I just keep extra liners in my purse. I stopped during the holidays and now, I am doing it again. My goal is 40 more lbs. This pill is for persons who are extremely overweight I feel. I didn't need a miracle, I just needed help. Losing weight is very hard when you are obese. Heck any size. I really like this pill.
#273 - Diva68 - 01/27/2010 - 03:15
I combined Alli with Weight Watchers and had great success. If ate more fat than recommended by the program, I did have some treatment effects, but nothing too bad. I never had to change my pants. It's probably best to wear a panty liner, though. This product helped me lose weight faster than doing Weight Watchers without it. I am willing to put up with occassional treatment effects because I need to lose the weight to bring my blood sugar and pressure down. It might not be for everyone. If you don't have a medical reason to lose weight, you might not want to put up with a few ruined underthings. It doesn't give me bloating or cramps and has no other side effects other than some oily residue when passing gas IF I cheat big time. That's why they're called "treatment effects."

I started using Alli a week ago. My starting weight was 176.8 lbs (at 5' 6.5"). This morning my weight was 170.4 lbs. While using Alli, I am also working out every day and watching my diet. Alli is to be used as a crutch, not a "cure all". You can't honestly expect to eat everything under the sun, pop a pill, and loose weight. With Alli, it teaches you to watch your fat intake. The loose bowels are the consequence of NOT doing that. I love Alli, and will continue to take it.

Alli, pray for me
I just took my first Alli and I have read all these. I laughed allot, but I am sure that may change very soon. I have allot of weight to lose and I have lost 14 since new years with weight watchers. I could not wait for Alli to come out and as soon as it did I was one of the first ones to purchase it. Money was not an issue (even though it was much more expensive than any other diet aid I had ever used) because I was desperate to lose about 20 pounds.
I took Alli exactly the way I was suppose to. I did fine for about the first three weeks and started to lose weight. Then the oily discharge started. So I was even more careful to not go over the allowed fat per meal. The bad thing about this is that I never knew when it happened. I would get up to go somewhere and discover I was full of feces. Or I would bend down to scratch my leg and get a hand full of feces, or I would sneeze or cough and would end up full of feces and it started to happen more and more often. But I was losing weight and still did not want to stop so I just stopped going out. After all this I still refused to stop taking it until one day I woke up about 5 am laying in a pool of feces in bed. I got up to walk to the bathroom and dripped feces all the way to the next room because it just would not stop. I had to first stop the flow, then take a shower, mop and clean the floor, shampoo the carpet in the bedroom, change the sheets in the bed (thank goodness it did not get on my new matress) and wash the sheets twice. All of this with a smell like no other. I was so distraught over this that I did not even keep a very important appointment that I had that day. Needless to say I am afraid to take this again and what a pity because it really did seem to work. I hope my experience helps someone else who may be thinking about taking this.

:-( Serious cardiovascular problems.
I wanted to drop 10 pounds only. Lost 5 in a week, and ate 1200 cal. per day. I was thrilled.
Recently started having upper stomach pain, then progressed to heart palpatations. I felt like I was going to die. My heart felt like it was going to explode. I went to the ER because I thought I was going to die.I have stopped the alli and my vitals are better but my heart still races out of the blue. Consult your doctor before use.

Well I took Alli on Monday just 1 for breakfast and 1 for lunch.... my stomach has been cramping every day now since!! the fat intake was actually lower then the recommended.. and thats all I took was 2 pills.. my stomach cramps, burns, when I get the urge to do #2 its like yellowish looking and its been 4 days since I took it! Any Ideas of when this cramping will stop?? Im hoping sooN! I also asked myself" if i can keep track of how many calories and fat grams I eat while taking Alli why cant i do it without having to take a pill and make it run your life? Just think if you go out somewhere with some friends you cant eat half the crap out there without worrying about Sh*tting on yourself.... Also after reading all these bad reviews I'm glad I only took 2 pills......

I considered this and simply asked around. I am 5' 10" male and was 210. My weight loss slowed at 193 but that's sort of normal, so I thought I could get a boost. My simple research turned out this; there should be no reviews on this, the information on how this works is now WELL documented. See Mayo Clinic. Eat right and excercise or see a doctor. You can eat crappy foods occasionally, most of us love to :) You take this pill when you eat a lot of fatty foods and you basically crap it out. Sometimes uncontrollably. For free, you can stick your finger down your throat. When you stop taking it, the weight comes back like all diet pills because they are temporary, unless you took them with a diet and excercise plan. I had a fatty meal the other day and was able to erase what I put on in 2 days. Without a game plan of better eating, this will cause you grief over time. Estimates are 6-10 pounds of loss taking a pill that might cause you liver problems as the long term side effects are not known. Remember other diet pills from the past that caused problems? Run away. I mean literally run away. Try jogging.
#283 - Tim - 02/06/2010 - 15:47
;-)People, Alli Works. Some of you who are having these explosive side effects are NOT FOLLOWING THE DIET PLAN CORRECTLY! You cannot take ALLI and then EAT AN ENTIRE PIZZA or CHINESE TAKE OUT or a whole entire bag of chips, and then some of you dont EXCERCISE! This pill is not for LAZY, UNMOTIVATED PEOPLE who wanna STILL CONTINUE TO EAT ALL DAY LONG And sit on their ASSES and expect the pill to magically make all the WEIGHT GO AWAY! there is nothing wrong with ALLI. Yes you may exp. gas but im sure you were farting before you took the pill. Eat Lite foods, small meals, stay HYDRATED (drink Lots of WATER) not SODA! and Get Off Your ASSES and work out. Its that simple! FOLLOW THE PLAN THE WAY ITS SUPPOSED TO BE FOLLOWED!!!

Alli Vs Rimonabant
Ok I haven't tried Alli because I was using Rimonabant which had the same effects that I am reading about Alli.
If alli will work the same way I will be very happy, with Rimonabant I lost 35lbs in my gut I am 5'9 and weight 195 in less than 3 months I lost my belly and down to 160 and went from a BMI of 34.5 to a 22 the side effects are the same as alli since the FDA has canceled it's aproval and it's no longer available, I have put on the weight again. I am so will to try alli because I know that the side effects are only temporary compared to the weight loss.
#285 - Robert - 02/11/2010 - 00:42
Okay- #1...Alli says right on the box that if you already eat healthy, then there is no reason to take it.

I started taking Alli not too long ago. I have cut my calories back by alot, do my best in keeping my fat grams under the 15 per meal, and have started exercising daily. I occassionally have a cramp or two, and had runny stools within the first 24 hours of starting it. But nothing since. I have lost 13 pounds in 2 1/2 weeks of doing this. I am working hard, and I cannot say that Alli has much to do with it, since I have changed my lifestyle so much, but I can say that it is encouraging to get on that scale and see the difference.

Cramps is not enough to make me stop taking it.:-D

I've read HUNDREDS of reviews and decided to buy it anyway. My friend is getting married this summer and I want to fit into my dress. Diet & exercise might not work fast enough. I am 5'5 I weigh 217.6 and wear a size 16 dress/size 18 jeans. My main goal is to lose at least 2" in hips. Hopefully Alli will give the boost I need. I started today after reading the paperwork which was a lot to read. I took it with breakfast of two donuts (now I know why I have big hips), took one with lunch my Veggie Jimmy Johns. So far I've noticed I've felt a little light headed & extremely sleepy. I've also been to the potty probably 6 or 7 times today and have pooped each time but maybe two pieces a 1/2 in or so. Nothing is orange and no oil. I know for sure breakfast was well over 15g of fat and my lunch was too bc I had a cookie with it so maybe I'm in for a treat tonight so we'll see. So far I'm excited and confident & feel Alli will give me that push to keep that crap out of my mouth...
#288 - JB - 02/19/2010 - 15:36
I took this product and lost 20 pounds. I stopped taking it and began to go back to not eating healthy so I gained most of it back due to my own fault but im taking it again so I hope I can stick with for the "Side Effects" I never pooped myself but I only ate lean cuisines and chicken and turkey sandwiches etc.. I never cheated on my diet so that might be why plus I have always had a constipation issue when I had my son so that might be why too....The only thing that did concern me was that I go rally bad stomach pains or cramps when I ate spicy things like salsa or turkey tacos. I never thought it was alli until I stopped talking it and the pains went away after a month or two but now that im taking it again I started having them again. I dont know how I feel about it :-[]
#289 - Amber - 02/24/2010 - 21:03
I love Alli, I have been taking it for two weeks now and I have lost almost 4 lbs. I have not had any of the side effects b/c I have been following the Alli diet plan. I also am in fear of the side effects in public so I watch what I eat when I am out and while at home. There is no point in taking Alli if you are going to eat greasy nasty foods all the time. Everyone that has posted (that has lost weight) has stuck to the Alli diet plan. I also don't feel that it is "lazy" just keeps you honest with yourself...some of us need that.
#290 - alli is awesome - 02/25/2010 - 10:21
I love Alli! It has helped me get unwanted pounds off, and when I am not taking the pill, I still keep them off. This is thanks to a strict diet and exercise ::gasp:: what a concept! Of course you are going to be 'pooping' yourself if you eat foods with high fat content! Just don't eat them and you will be fine. That is what loosing weight is all about any ways. This is a good way to teach yourself to control what you are eating.
#291 - Mindy - 02/26/2010 - 13:39
I don't know about anyone else but Shirls review made me throw up.

Just a bit graphic. I felt like I was reading a poop fetish diary.

Tone down some Shirl. Maybe you're taking too much caffeine in with Alli.:-P

I started taking Alli 3 days ago.. ive had no side effects at all ans im thinking maybe its not working. I only have around 10lbs to lose as i lost over 50lb in weight watchers last year and im just finding it hard to get rid of the last few pounds, my fat intake is never over 10g and a friends told me im wasting my time if im not eating up to 15g's of fat.Any advice please..
#293 - irish32 - 03/03/2010 - 05:53
I have not started the alli yet but have purchased and after reading reviews will be taking them! It seems that a lot of people who have taken alli and that have had bad side effects have not been sticking to a good diet plan. I imagine that after taking alli and after reading about the side effects (poops)i would imagine it would help me stick to a better diet plan and avoid nasty accidents which would definitley help aid weight loss. which is what it says it does!
#294 - Denise - 03/12/2010 - 15:01
I've been taking it for almost 2 weeks now. And along with a regular exercise plan and watching my fat in take I've definitely seen a change! I get gas sometimes from it. But I've never "pooped my pants". Maybe the side effects are different from everyone but I think as long as you watch your fat in take everything will be fine!
#295 - Kelli - 03/17/2010 - 14:25

On 12/25/2009, I weighed on our new wii nintendo.. I was @ 178.9. I have a full time job, 2 kids, husband, and coutless animals! Even still, I managed to have at least a 30 minute walk per day. I havent lost any weight more than the 2.5 flux each day. I have had constipation problems since a hernia I obtained while pregnant with our daughter, 8, which I have no idea if that is what is causing it. I started taking the Alli pill February 1st and today I weighed in @ 157.5. I am still amazed at the first week, which Alli aided in my 6 pound weight loss!! After reading the material, I realized that "my" healthy diet wasn't so "healthy". I have then changed a many of the things my family and I eat. My daughter is no longer at risk of being overweight, and my husband has even lost 8 pounds! He isn't even taking the Alli pill! One thing I can say is... it was very difficult to put down those mtn.dews and replace with at least 4 bottles of water. Now it doesnt seem so hard. I do feel a slight pain in my upper abdomen, but feels like it only happens when I eat too fast. I have had "treatment effect", but I have also been bad, and thats putting it lightly! Also, I am next to a bathroom all day, so I have easy access if needed. I do get off track, but I then just have to work harder over the next few days to get back to where I was. I now watch everything I eat, take the Alli pill at every meal regardless, and do my walking every afternoon( rain or shine). Overall the Alli pill has worked for me. I have just bought my second bottle of 120 pills. I am sure they will get me to my weght loss goal of 145. I also believe that everyone should see their physician before taking any diet pill just in case they have even a slight problem with their health. My sister tried it and was complaining about her "treatment effects", swore she wasn't doing anything bad and it went on for weeks. Found out later, when her husband told me, about all those lunches @ taco bell and late night chips(no wonder!!)So be "good" and try it out for yourself!!! ...

I took Alli for 7 days, lost 10 lbs. I followed the parameters to a tee! I was permitted 1400 calories a day and 19g fat per meal. If I had a snack between my 3 meals it was a Zero fat item. I wrote down every single thing that entered my mouth. I had NO SIDE EFFECTS. ON day 8, for fun I decided to eat just a bit more fatty than it said I was allowed, my stomach was gurgly, with some treatment effects, but that was it, as long as I followed my plan there were no suprises.

I took my multivitamen at night, because alli blocks alot of fat, some of your fat soluble vitamens are not absorbed during the day so you need to take them at night when your not taking the pills.

Yes, there is orange 'oil' in the toilet, that is the fat that's not being absorbed into your body. Perfect, evidence that it's working.
#299 - Dani - 04/12/2010 - 08:28
I have been taking this product for 26 days. I have lost 8 pounds. I lost the 8 pounds in the first week and have not lost anymore weight. I have been at a plateau for 2 weeks now. I eat everything like Im supposed to and excercise for an hour 5 days a week ( crunches, excercise bike w/free weights, dance) I have not had any side effects . I really like this product. Everyone hits there plateaus. Im pretty close to the weight Im supposed to be anyway. So My advice is try it . It doesn't work for everyone but if you stick with it. It will all pan out .

#301 - sonia - 04/14/2010 - 21:13
If you take this pill as directed (LOW FAT DIET), and DO NOT cheat you will see results!! "Treatment Effects" will only occure if you go over yyour daily fat intake. The key is to reccord all your meals in the journal provided to help your stay in the daily limit. Alot of these bad reviews are probaly people taking in to much fat. Myself has been on Alli for 1 month and I have NEVER had any gas, cramps, ect. I follow it just as i should and am seeing GREAT results. A+++ To Alli:-)
#302 - STEPHANIE - 04/16/2010 - 14:15
:-)When I started taking Alli I was very unsure, and I did have side effects until I stoped eating fatty and salty foods, and now I think its great Its been about 2weeks and I lost 10bls, I dont think Alli is a miracle pill and I know with hard work and exercise I can lose weight by myself, but over all I do like Alli ad its good for me but not for everyone, if you poop in your pants its because u are not watching carefully what u are eating, be very strict with fatty foods, and fried foods and u most likely wont have side effects.
#303 - Rachel - 04/24/2010 - 12:14
this is the 2nd week I am taking alli and so far the only day I had diarrhea was the first one. From then on, I tried to lead a healthy lifestyle. I go to the gym 5/week and try to keep my diet low in carbs.. so far so good.. I have lost a lot of weight. and I don't have any side-effects anymore except if I eat a fatty food. I am very pleased with it.
#304 - alexandra - 04/24/2010 - 13:33

#305 - VAL - 04/27/2010 - 20:39
Ive been on alli for 2 weeks now. I had stopped taking it for 2 days because I was going out with "the girls" from work. Even with not taking it for the 2 days that week, I lost 5 lbs. Dieting only and no extra exercise (just walking the stairs instead of the elevator more).

This week I am having a lot of gas (controllable) I think its because I am eating a lot more fruits and veggies since my diet previous was about half meat and the other half fruit/veggies (I dont eat many carbs due to health reasons). SOOOO this week, the scale doesnt show any additional weight loss, but I think that is due to bloating (can add 3-8lbs)which can be caused by the increase in veggies and fruits... It has also only been 3 days since I discovered I lose the 5lbs. My legs and arms are looking thinner though, I really think this is working.

I am going to start adding some more exercise in at night, and see if that is something I can keep up. For those of you that are upset at a slower weight loss, remember that generally speaking 1 pound of fat is 3500 calories. If you havent changed anything and you are only losing 1 lb of fat a week by taking alli, that is cutting out 3500 calories (a day and a half worth!)without altering your normal patterns. Keep it up and see if you can make small changes
(skim milk in coffee instead of cream, maranara sauce instead of alfredo) these things really do make a difference.

OH, and I should mention that I ate at KFC one night, Taco Bell another and STILL lost weight (and healthier meals the rest of the week).... its not so much what you eat, its the quantity and balancing. you can eat a piece of fried chicken (ONE, not 3,4,10 even), just have it with a salad or veggies and fat free dressing. The point of alli isnt to be a miracle pill, it is to help increase weight loss, and to teach you to eat right.

My plan is to have1-2 weeks on, and to skip a whole day if something special is planned. That seems to be working for me.

One side note as well. Most of the people complaining that their clothes are getting ruined, Most laundry detergents are made of mostly water. I recomend buying a clarifying shampoo (pantine or nutragena has them pretty cheap). Those are used to strip oils and chemicals out of hair before doing a color or perm treatment.... hand wash your oiled clothes with that stuff and cold water. I am sure you will have better results then with detergent. OR you can avoid the whole thing by following the plan. The less fat you eat the better, the 15grams is your max, it is perfectly fine to eat less then that.
#306 - Rachele - 04/27/2010 - 23:37
been on this since the 1st of may and got stomache ache today but so far no 'looseness down below'
i had already trimmed my fat intake 2 weeks before going on alli and am keeping a food diary.
fingers crossed
#307 - greg - 05/03/2010 - 16:04
Here is how to make Alli work for you:
1)read the directions in the Alli package. Just buy the cheaper refill pack to get started. It includes a great booklet.
2)download an app to your iphone that tells you how much fat is in everything you eat.
3)eat three meals a day and don't exceed eating 15grams of fat at each meal.
4)when your body tells you that you need to go to the bathroom, go. It may be more often, but hey.

If you follow these steps, you won't have any "episodes"mentioned above.
#308 - Trish - 05/03/2010 - 20:23
:-D I have been taking the Alli pill for about a month now and have lost five pounds. I experienced the orange-yellow discharge for the first two weeks and now this has stopped. The problem is my menstrual cycle has stopped. I know I am not pregnant(impossible to be) I had normal menstral cycle before starting this so not sure if this is a side effect or not. If anyone else has experienced this please let me know. Otherwise, the pill is working out for me. So I guess the question is can it mess up menstrual cycle??

:-D hello my name is Olivia im 17.
I took alli for about 3 weeks and lost 16 pounds.
i did not excersise but ate very little fat.
I also did not have ANY side effects.
#311 - Olivia - 05/27/2010 - 18:33
I will be the first to say that all the people who put Ali down, are the ones who didn't read, because in taking Ali you also have to eat well, and exercise, I myself have taken Ali for about 2 months now and lost over 21 pounds, I changed how I ate, by taking in no fried foods or anything made in oil...I used Pam(canola made) for things I needed to bake, but over all I ate things that were good for me, I cut all the red meats, pork also, I stuck with chicken seafood and veggies and fruits(also not snacking in middle of meals, and if you do get hungry eat fruit or veggies).... Ali will give u bathroom problems if u eat a lot of fatty foods, if u read it you'd know that....So i recommend Ali to anyone who is willing to work, not just take a pill and sit on the couch and eat....Because the pill wont work if you dont work...thank you
#312 - Almica** - 05/27/2010 - 20:22
I am really tired of hearing from people, "If you just work out and eat right, you'll lose weight." Well that is NOT true for everyone. For me, I am doing just that. I work out 5 times per week (cardio/45 min), and I eat a low carb (no sugar) diet, and the scale will not budge! I will lose 3-5 lbs and then stall, and then regain, although my diet and exercise has NOT changed! My metabolism has really slowed down over the years, and as I approach 34, I have got to do something drastic to get this weight off once and for all.

I am still looking into Alli. I took Xenical in the past, with great results, but it was before I had my children. I'm now thinking of getting started with Alli, but I would definitely double up on it (120 mgs)so that my results would be similar to when I was on Xenical. I need something that works, so that I will have an incentive to stay on it so that I can reach my goal.

Again everyone is different, and some need an extra boost, especially if you've ruined your metabolism in the past with yo-yo dieting. Everyone is different. If it works for you, keep taking it and don't be discouraged by those against it!

I recently bought Alli and I love it! yea i had a couple of bathroom incidents but thts only because i was eating FATTY foods. If you eat right and exercise you will not experience POOPY pants...its not that bad at all!!! ppl r always looking for the easy way out so they get discouraged when they encounter a bump n the me. if u follow the directions and eat right, YOU WILL SEE POSITIVE OUTCOMES!!!5lbs down and counting

they have alli at wallmart per 46 dollars no shipping no taxes and the best part 120 pills ;-)
#316 - - 06/08/2010 - 20:28
I purchased Alli about 2 weeks ago and I haven't had any negative side affects with it. I have gained 20 pounds over my normal weight of 130 and I have a thyroid disorder and recently had my galbadder removed, I eat healthy for the most part and exercise but the weight wasn't coming off. I have never taken diet supplements before so I decided to try Alli because it is FDA approved. I have lost 4 pounds already and no I don't have the poop pants problem and never did. The majority of the reviews on here seem to be negative and I wonder if they are for real or is everyone just following suit. Nothing but positive for me.
I give Alli 2 thumbs up;-)

This product is horrible. My sister who is overweight has had nothing but good results outta this product and had no complaints, but for me on the other hand, I HATE this product. I was only taking it for about 2 days and on the second day not only did i have loose stool, and orange bowel movements, but I puked my brains out for 2 hours. Needless to say I lost 3 pounds, ,but not exactly how i wanted to! I also had nausea and gas. TWO days! My stats are 5'6 143. (now 5'6 140) but im sure ill gain the weiight back soon.

My partner got extremely worst health condition after took one month Alli. Pls do not use it if everybody take it or is considering to have it.
She was healthy and never have any serious illness even common cold. Her height is 67 inch, 14.2 stones. Our eyes were attracted by Alli adver one day when we walked in boots. Nobody really care about her over weight. She was a happy, positive, smart person. She never took any losing weight aid as well. We had no idea why we dicided to buy a pack to try. She did same thing and got all the symbol like your guys-eating veggies, fruits, low fat food routine, multivitamin tablets and blow loo thing. Her weight was 12.6 st after a month. We thought Alli was great pill and worked.
Then I saw her neck looks like unusual enlarge in a morning time. She went to local GP without any result. She did blood test and Ultrasound as GP adviced. Obversiously, every appointment of each test took ages. We started to worry about something is going wrong with her. Ultrasound result as each side of her neck has mass lymph. She is suffering painful every minutes and our happy family is living in the miserable life. GP urgently send her to Guy's hospital for further testing after he received her ultasound result. We go to hospital every week without exactly disease result. GP suspect it may related with lymphoma. It has been 5 months after she had Alli, we are still waiting for miracle happening. One day, this nightmare end in front of our door. She has done blood test 3 times. The latest result was that she probabely got thalassemia. What a joke. She was strong as a cow. Nobody believe she had nothing to do with anarmia.
We have to face that the fat and red blood in her body cell have been killed by Alli at same time. Alli is still in her body, her disease is still getting worse. God bless us and save her life. We are going to Guy's next week for X-ray.
Girls, guys, pls give up your hand to put this poison Alli in your mouth.
Also pls fell free to contact me if everybody got similar symbol of this disease afer had Alli, like unusal lymph, muscle pain, tireness etc

I love it! I am on my seventh day of taking it and i have been weighing myself about every other day and today i found out i lost 6lbs! Until about the last 2 years i have always been curvy but thin and could eat for the most part what i wanted. though i have never been a junk food junkie. But living with my husband who was raised on box foods and pizza, well picked up some of his bad habits. He does not cook only me, and many times i am to tired to cook. At home we eat healthy and i have started to get back to my roots. since i have started to gain and not stop i have tired several things. Including almost completely cutting out my breads and pasta- not a damn things. Others pills and p90x with the diet (everything about is so expensive an time consuming and no results)- nothing. Now this 6 lbs with loose diet and exercise- amazing. I am sorry for those with bad experiences, but everyone does respond differently. The only bad side affect is a little leakage (pads cover that sorry boys) and use the bathroom more. It is not uncontrolled, which i have had with some pills. For me the slight issues are worth it.:-D

I just recently started using Alli and low and behold I am losing weight and feeling great. Within the first week I lost two pounds and this is all from dieting and not working our yet. The only side effect is literally pooping, but the normal healthy body is supposed to do this anyway at least 4-5 times a day. I used to go once a week and see why I was so crabby and bloated. Since Alli, I have been on the toilet regularly and forced to eat correctly. Some may need this type of mental stimulation to keep you on a diet. I know I do. I just started working out this second week and feel so much better. No jitters, no shakes, I sleep well and feel well. I love Alli!!!!B-);-)

Alli: It dosn't works if you're already eating healthy
My nutritionist made me go on Alli to lose weight because my metabolism seemed so stubborn that i did not any lose weight in a long period of time in spite of proper diet and exercice, and this didn't work at all;i didn't get any side effect and didn't lose any weight either :|
I guess this is for people who don't stick to a diet plan or to have in the purse for those exepcional times you go out of the diet, like dates, hang outs with friends and so on where they always force you to eat an ice-cream or a piece of pizza.

Have been on it for one week. Only today had the Ally Oops, slightly. Two nights ago ate a fried chicken wing! Guess it was due to that. However, I like the pill, I have lost a bit of weight in one week and already feel better for eating right. Dont't be afraid of Alli, as with anything it will work for some, but not all.

This product is DANGEROUS. My mother took these pills for six months and developed gall stones, pancrititis, and eventually had to have her gall bladder removed. The doctors suggested that these pills were the cause, and several case studies on the drug and its adverse side effects confirmed this suspicion. I strongly advise those trying to lose weight to do it the old fashion way with diet and exercise. Sometimes trying to do things the easy way will set you back even further.

I took Alli for 5 days and it was horrible!!! I NEVER had any pooping problems, at all!! neither any pain in my stomach, but I got a terrible HEADACHE on the first night after taking ALLI. I couldn't sleep at night, weaking up several times feeling confused!!! I thought it was something else, nothing related with the pills. I kept taking them. By the third day I started to feel dizzy and my vision was blurry, the headache never stopped. For some reason I also got a cold, and I still having a headache 6 days after stopping the pills. This pills are dangerous, I am going to the doctor next week, because I still feeling dizzy sometimes. Please don't buy these pills, THIS IS A HUGE SCAM!!!!! I WANT MY MONEY BACK!!!!

Recently found my old packet of Alli I had bought months ago, checked it and it was easily still in date by over six months.

I've done very well with my weight lose lately I've lost over two inches off my waist and thought, why not use these tablets again? They should help me carve a little more off, WRONG. I remember why I stopped using them in the first place.

After using them for three days, my self control stopped and I went from a good balanced meal place to feeling hungry, then the side effects came, bloated stomach, headache and ahem leakage. I would not recommend this to anyone.

I just bought alli and have not used it yet, although some of these reveiws scare me i am still going to use it. I realize everybodys body is different and will have different side affects but some of you people need to stop looking at the reviews and just see for ur self. Also I dont belive the people who said they were eating healthy and had explosive dirrea. follow the intructions people!!!!!!!!

Me and the hubby both need to lose about 30 pounds each and plan to start Alli this weekend. I have a friend that took it for about 7 months and went from 235 to 165 lbs. I see a lot of whining on here from what I see as people not wanting to give up greasy fattening foods and just want to be lazy and take a pill. I will keep this updated.
#332 - Tina M - 07/30/2010 - 18:17
LOVE LOVE LOVE IT!! Been on it for 4 days and no bad side effects and I feel great! I do have "oily" poops.. but no bloating, loose stools (actually normal consistency ... no change at all). I can already feel my cloths fitting better! All you whiney hineys out there that say it's a bad product just aren't following the directions and are eating lots of fatty foods. Try it again while following the directions .. I promise you it will be a different experience! ;-)

I really have to say that i am 5'4 and 154 pounds, more of an athletic build but I do have a small "spare tire" around the middle. I am getting married in less than a year and decided to try Alli to help me eat better. I followed the rules of starting the diet a week before I started Alli, since starting Alli I had no complints until the other day. i had really bad leakage while working out. It was bad, for the past two weeks I have been eating salads with no dressing chicken breast and whole grain rice fruit and oatmeal i have been keeping my fat to under 15 grams A DAY, on Alli to avoid side effects your supposed to keep it under 15g a meal. I was really pissed off so I decided that since I aM EATING HEALTHY AND EXERCISING I WOULD STOP TAKING ALLI AND CONTINUE MY DIET. BIG BIG BIG MISTAKE!!!! I stopped taking Alli almost 3 days ago. I have had one cpsule in the last 72 hours, still eating very low fat and low calorie foods, and I am having the worst treatment effects possible. I have oil rushing out of me litterally every hour, if you guys are serious about taking Alli please keep in mind that it is not for everyone, and I really thought the other people who said the side effects were there even if they had been eating healthy were liars, well I reprimand myself cause it was most likley the truth they were saying. If anyone wants my alli I have almost a full 90 pill bottle that I would be willing to give for free. I will even mail the damn thing at no charge.

Ok, all of you need to calm down and take it easy, except those who are having positive effects. There's a medication for alcoholic's called "Antabuse". It's a pill that you take every morning, it builds up in your system, and if you drink alcohol on it, automatically you will get severely ill, the whole nine yards; puking, fever, head cold, diarrhea, you name it. But those are the consequences for drinking. People who take it know that they have a problem, and just need that "Warning" to help motivate them to stay on the right track. All of you who are complaining about ruining your underwear, or keep having to run to the bathroom, probably SHOULDN'T be taking it, because obviously you don't have enough self-discipline. For those of you who it is working for, GOOD FOR YOU! You obviously know you had an issue with eating unhealthy, and taking this pill is the "natural-consequence" for eating that slice of greasy cheese or pepperoni pizza!

If your serious about loosing weight, then eat right and exercise. Never will they come out with a pill that makes you loose weight without a healthy diet or exercise. All advertisements for pills that "will make you drop 25 lb.s in a week" like the one Kim Kardashian is on the cover of...could probably give you a stroke. If your serious, your serious and will lose the weight. If not, then don't waste you money, because you will be flushing $60 down the toilet with your "oily stool".

Have a great day!

My Alli
Are you serious My Alli!! I took this product about a 18 months ago for about 2 weeks and had a couple treatment effects. But two days ago I began having treatment effects again. Where has this come from?? Now I have soiled clothes and a couch that stinks like rotton poop. I called the My Alli company to try and see what they recommend to consumers for removing the foul odors. The lady told me that they never did research on that. All she was interested in was the fact that I am having treatment effects after all these months. So, has anyone figured out how to get the smell out of fabric yet??
#338 - Angela - 09/21/2010 - 12:47
I have taken Alli for only a few days now. I hadn't experienced too much of the side effects listed in the comments above. That is until this morning (my third day in) I woke up with grease on my underwear. Straight up grease. This would be the side effect of anal leaking..and it happened over night. However, I wouldn't say it was so horrifying that I would quit using it. Except after that I went online and read all the reviews and later decided it wasn't worth it. I didn't want to wait for the side effects to appear. Well it found me anyways.. When I was debating what to have for dinner tonight I decided to go out and grab a sub. (I hadn't taken the pill for about 24hrs) I also decided to have myself some chilli.. I figured it wasn't a big deal that it was greasy since I hadn't taken the pill today. Well I was wrong..not even an hour later I had to almost run my way through target to the bathroom. If Alli did anything for me.. It let me experience how it feels to piss out of my butt. The chilli went straight through in complete liquid form.

Well, I will be staying on Alli until I reach my goal of 20 lbs. I have been on the pill for two months now and have lost 10 lbs. I am small all over except for the muffin top belly i have acquired over the years. I fell so good about myself even with the ten lbs that I have lost. I have found that alli was worse the first couple of weeks i took it as far as the grease. It seems to have gotten much better. Probably because I have learned that if I eat those two slices of pepperoni pizza then I better expect there to be grease in the toilet and I mean lots of it..Pizza, Chilli, and mcdonalds seems to be the worst of all the foods I have eaten while on alli. This might sound gross but I kind of like seeing all that grease going down the toilet instead of in my body. I have never experienced any of the other things like stomach cramps or headaches like I have read on here that others are dealing with. Also you will learn right away that you cant pass gas any more unless you are sitting on the toilet. That is when you might find some leakage in your undies. That never happens to me anymore:) I would recommend that you take a vitamin every day, at least vit D..hopefully in another two months I will have reached my goal. Good luck to everyone.

My doctor wrote me a prescription which come to find out that I did not need (over the counter) and now I\\\'m desperately trying to find out how I can get a refund.

Thanks to this web site I found it, I will be returning the unused porttion of a 90 day supply ASAP. I thought that maybe I did not give the Product a long enough trial period and since I could not find a guarantee on the bottle or literature I took it for another two weeks. Total one and a half months.

The problem is that you think it\\\'s OK to eat foods with fat and so for me I over indulged in foods I would normally not eat or cut-back on quantity, and now I\\\'ve gained nearly 10 more pounds then from when I originally started, taking in the beginning of September and now I\\\'m an astronomical 173.6.

Another review indicates that Alli has been a nightgmare and I second that as is giving it a new name A Lie, just what the name brand indicates. Plus it seems like the food that is being blocked is just lingering in your digestive track and at one point caused cramps that made me double over! Yeah you might as well just lie there too because you will have to crap on an emergency basis!

Hey, reading some of these reviews makes me think we should be awarded some kind of Comedian Awards!

$Biggest Loser$out my cash;plooking for refund!pc

I think that unless you\\\'re eliminating fat all together then yes the Product is for you and then again if you\\\'re eliminating fat why take Alli when you may suffer the horrific side affects, and by the way I\\\'m 51, and have yo-yoed with my weight ranging from 125.00 to a dissapointing 185.00!

Finally, I was reluctant to buy this product because it was expensive $58.99, but there was a Wynona Ryder DVD w/it and I thought that if all else falied I could give the DVD to a friend, since I'm not the biggest (haha)fan.

I use the Dr Max Powers Burn Supplements and saw results in a short period of time. Not only did it help me lose weight, I received a lot of comments about how I looked 'younger' and 'better.'

Also helped with energy before and during workouts. I am now on my second re-order. Further, I had a problem with my mail and the website customer service was fantastic as to helping me get the product. Highly recommend.

#343 - svilen - 10/31/2010 - 04:09
I have just started on Alli and had NO side effects. If you eat lots of fat, a third of that will leak out the other end - simple as that. It is a support mechanism, not an excuse to eat s**t all day. Anyone who has horrible side effects can only blame themselves - my advice is have a bit more self discipline
#344 - mmm - 11/07/2010 - 11:17
OMG!!!!I think most of these reviews are coming from the same person just to make it seem like their from different reviewers, almost all the reviews are repeating the story or changing it a bit but I havnt read soo much negativity about this pill until i clicked on this site the other sites where mostly all positive reviews...Really people just get a life!!!

Alli works for me
I have read all the reviews about Alli and have discovered that I have not had the side effects that others have occurred. I have been taking Alli for about a month now and have lost 15 pounds so far. I only have side effects when I eat something with too much fat content. I have several friends that are considering trying it due to my success. I hope to lose 60 more pounds and with Alli I think I will reach my goal. I have definetly changed the way I eat, eating more fresh vegetables and low-fat meats. I feel better and have more energy than I have had in years. Thank you Alli

Hi, So I've been using Alli for about 2 months now..However, I've been on and off the pill. I lost total of 10 lbs with a little exercise( walking to school) I totally agree on the pooping part.. but it wasnt literally poop.. but more like fat like oil. I didnt know how to control it at first..but now it's so much better. Just knowing when you fart or pee...some of the excess fat will come out. So if you needed, hit the bathroom right away. Secondly, if you're eating healthy that day.. you really dont have to worry about the pooping part.

From an honest person.
Good luck loosing weight.

I have been taking Alli for about a month now, only take it maybe once a day, I do have severe stomach pain at night after taking it, BUT im sure its from the food that i ate, I have been eating healthier and excercising also, i have lost a total of 10lbs, I have noticed that the side effects are caused by eating TOO much fatty food. I have never had the oily gas, the very oily poop yes, But i think it is well worth it, I also take a complete vitamin every night as directed on the bottle. Have had no problems with it thus far and will continue taking it
#348 - Amber - 11/29/2010 - 10:31
Buty the starterkit. Follow the directions and diet. Do the online reveiws and you will lose weight. A lot of weight. The people who don\'t like it, don\'t follow the program. It will take discipline, but it will be worth it. I have lost 19 lbs in 60 days without pooping my pants or working out more than 1 hour a week.
#349 - heather - 12/14/2010 - 19:11
Alli is superb! Not only is it the only FDA approved weight loss drug, it also doesn't give you heart attack, stroke, mood swing, jitters, stomach ulcer & the list goes on. People are losing up to 10lbs per week on Alli and I'm a living proof of that.

And for those of you whining about crapping in your undies, SHAME ON YOU! There is no magic pill out there so if you do as Alli says, your undies will be as clean as new. If you are looking for a magic pill that promises you "to eat all you want & still lose weight" then you are in for disaster b/c those pills will wreck your organs and thats a fact!

If you want a weight loss aid, you have to take the good along with the not so the case of Alli, the only "not so good"(the oily spotting) occurs if you exceed the recommended grams of fat per day! GOOD LUCK EVERYONE!

If you work out, eat RIGHT and take Alli you will see results like I did. I used Alli for about 2 months and I really liked it. If you eat something wrong you will know not to eat it cinnamon buns from the vending machines, bad idea.
#351 - Brandon - 12/30/2010 - 17:52
I have been taking alli for about 3 months and have lost 15 lbs. I decided for the first time to look it up online since the only reason I started taking it was because my Doctor recommended it. Well, I have been reading the comments here and I have laughed so hard I'm crying ! So many of the comments are true but it sure has been worth it to me. I eat right NOW, thanks to alli :)
#352 - M. Pesses - 01/01/2011 - 12:24
After reading all of the reviews, and taking Alli for one week- I think it's pretty simple. Stick to the plan-no treatment affects and you lose weight. Don't stick to the plan- treatment affects and no weight lose. It's not a miracle drug. You still have to work at losing weight by dieting and exercising which is exactly what the product information states. So why are people so surprised and upset? No pill is perfect. To me, Alli is just one piece of losing the weight and keeping it off. Alli is working for me and I know when I stop taking it I will continue to eat healthy and exercise and keep the weight off.

Alli Diet Pills
Well I just wanted to share with everyone, I took Alli for two months about a year ago. I needed to lose about 30lbs and NOTHING would help. I have always been a thin girl weighing about 125lbs and 5'7 but once I got married I gained 30lbs. I exercised, I ate 1200 calories a day for about 6 months and nothing. I bought the pills and started taking them EXACTLY the way you are suppose to and guess what?!? in 2 months I lost 15lbs!!!! I couldnt believe it I didn't exercise more nor did I eat less as I was before when I was eating 1200 cal a day. Oh and BTW I DID NOT POOP MY PANTS not even once. Sooooooooooo Alli does work u just cant cheat and you cant just take it for a week and say it doesnt work.
#354 - Sharon - 01/05/2011 - 21:31
Hello! When I was first reading the posts above, I was heavily considering not taking Alli, but then I noticed those reviews were posted 3 years ago! As if that really doesn't make a difference, but I thought, hey, Alli probably improved it's products inbetween '08 and now. Thank god all the positive comments started goin on because I was worried I'd become another girl with a potty bowl mark on'er cheeks. I weigh 150lbs now and 5'7", I'm 'hoping' I'll get down to 125 again or even 115 like in high school! XD. If anyone has any memoriable (positive)stories they'd like to share, please, SHARE IT!!

#356 - ALLI DIET PILLS - 01/17/2011 - 13:03
i dieted my first week with no pills and no excercise i only lost 1 lb. my second week i limited myself to 1200 calories per day and had my alli pills 3 times a day one with each meal containing fat no excersise this week and i lost 4 lb. i see alot of reviews about how the pills give you the runs and the oil spotting. all you need to do is read the information that comes wth the pills and it explains everything to you.. dont just skip through the pages READ THE WHOLE THING!! until now i have not had any diarreah but i have suffered the oil spotting thing and yes its gross but it only happens when you eat something with alot of fat. the pills do exactly what they say they will. they eliminate the fat you consume so obviously it needs to come out by somewhere. there is no majic pill that you can take eat whatever you want and loose weight. these pills work great as long as you use them correctly. its not only about the calories you intake you also need to minimize the amount of sodium and fat. GOOD LUCK TO THOSE USING THESE PILLS!! I LOVE THEM THEY ARE HELPING LOOSE MY BABY FAT!
#357 - ALLI DIET PILLS - 01/17/2011 - 13:24
There were to many comments to read, I bought Alli at Costco, they refunded my money 4 days later. I took 2 pills at dinner time the first day, I did not SLEEP a wink that night. The second day I took zero pills, I did not sleep a wink that night. The third day I was so tired I couldn't see stright, but I knew I would sleep because I was dead on my feet, so in the morning I took one with breakfast, I did not sleep a wink that night either. I ran back to Costco to get my money back. If I was the type, I would Sue Alli in a heartbeat. I was hopeful and it was just awful!

i'm going to be honest about "alli" diet pills. i live in ny and i purchased 2 bottles from rite-aid...$59.99 per bottle. i eat light,, excercise and drink plenty of water. the first few days i noticed loose bowel movement. at times, my poo came in my underwear before i even reached the toilet and it's also greasy in the toilet bowl. i just finished the first bottle and start on the 2nd...HONESTLY, I ONLY LOST 1 LB. ALLI DOES NOT WORK!!! IT ONLY MAKES YOU PASS OUT GREASY POO THAT'S IN YOUR FOOD. i discontinue the 2nd bottle. I'M MAD WITH MY SELF BUT MOST OF ALL, I'M MAD WITH THE PRODUCT. the reason why "ALLI" is fda approved is because they know it does not work and they (the company) has nothing to loose.
#359 - cindy - 01/25/2011 - 09:23
I used Alli and lost 10 pounds in a month while on Weight Watchers. It does work but if you eat junk or fatty foods you do get leakage and the runs. I feel its worth it to lose a quick 10 lbs. But when you stop using the pills the weight comes back.

You MUST excercise but it really does work if you put effort into it. I would reccommend this to anyone who is serious about losing weight but you must excercise

Alli is working for me! Ive lost 5ibs in 1 week! I've not had any problems a little bit of oily spotting 5 days after taking it. I think everyone is different everyone reacts differently to all types of drugs! I have stuck to eating healthy I havnt binged like I think most people feel they can do on this tablet. If your going to have something naughty to eat then eat it in moderation don't eat as much as you can thinking you will be fine because your on the tablet. Honestly I havnt done any exercise but I will be starting to soon.
#364 - Kirsty - 03/02/2011 - 11:44
I've been using Alli for a little over a month and so far I have lost about 6 pounds. The people that are saying they had bad side effects had them because of the food that they ate. If you eat a salad there is no way to have any bad side effects from this pill. However, if you eat a salad with ham, cheese, nuts and a pound of full fat salad dressing you probably will experience some of those nasty treatment effects you hear about.
I only had one experience and I must say it was because I had pizza, buffalo wings, and cake! Also the bright orange stools the orange is the eliminated fat.
Bottom line, nothing is a miracle. You have to put some work into it in order to get the desired results. I like Alli and it works well for me.
When I stick to my recommended fat grams NOTHING at all happens. Also, if i'm going out and feel that I may over indulge I just don't take the pill!
#365 - Keisha - 03/04/2011 - 10:50
Oh, also for the lady that bought the product from Costco rushed home and took 2....Well this is a diet product and it comes with alot of information. We may be so excited to try a new product that promises to assist us in losing those stubborn pounds. But this excitement must be tempered with common sense. You have to READ all of the information. Clearly the instructions say take ONE pill with each meal. You are not supposed to take more than 3 pills a day, or more than 1 pill with each meal. Not following these instructions will surely have some BAD side effects. READ, READ, READ then log onto the Alli web site and register and read some more.

I've been taking Alli for a few weeks. My weight loss and have been steady. About 1-3lb a week. I try to limit my fat in take to 15g or less like recommended per meal. Mostly eating healthy TV Dinners. The thing does work kinda like an laxative it definetly makes got to go but never have an accident. The gas with oilly spotting is bad though. Got to be careful there. however I recently stopped when I got anal bleeding! I don't know if it was Alli or from the diarhea I had but I decided to stop taking it. Not good at all, more side effects then I would like. I've also used it as directed and exercise regulary.....very disappointing
#368 - Jack - 03/24/2011 - 22:25
Alli is the best drug on earth! I used alli last year and lost 20 lbs and several inches. If you eat foods that contain high levels of fat, get ready to stay in the bathroom. It blocks the fat by way of bowel movements. I pretty much taught me to eat right or else you know what. The drug is very safe and effective and I would highly recommend it!

Alli Diet Pill
Alli has been ineffective for me. It hasn’t helped me to lose a single pound within a month. I am vegetarian and I eat low fat foods. I feel bloated after taking it and my stomach becomes embarrassingly noisy, but I am constipating. I wouldn’t buy it anymore. Better to stick to healthy diet and some exercise. I think this is a usual marketing to profit product.
#370 - Inga - 04/07/2011 - 00:41
Alli (Xenical)
This product does not get rid of the fat you already have but it does block fat that you consume once you've started taking it. Your body begins to use the fat it has stored so that's why you loose weight. BUT(T) if you eat fat it will come out & usually unexpectedly. If you sneeze you may embarress yourself. However you will see just how much fat you are consuming, its better than staying in your body and it should make you think twice about your fat intake. Make sure you take vitamins with this product at night. This is the most important. Hope this helps.

alli advised not a good pill-ended up with health problem
I started taking alli after i had my second lost some weight followed plan then started staying up all night, stomach pains, severe headaches could not focus i ended up going to see my docter and ran blood test, and end up with renal problems with no previous health problems,it might work for some just be care full and ask your docter if is ok for you being thin are not worth the health risk, but everyone is different depending on your family history.

I have had nothing but bad experiences with this product. I definitely had problems with the leakage and ruined alot of underwear and pants. Whats even worse is after taking this product after two weeks I ended up in the hospital with critical amylase and lipase levels. I had severe abdominal pain. My doctor stated that this product caused me to have pancreatitis. There is a warning in their very large booklet that states if you ever had any GI,gallbladder, liver or pancreas disorders do not use this product.I did have my gallbladder removed due to stones so this could be why I was so sick. Just please use caution and speak with your doctor before even thinking about using this product!!!

OMG, I just bought Alli today, it was worth it just for the laughing I have done reading the rewiews! I have NOT laughed this hard in months. I only have about 10-15 lbs to shed, and I hope I can do it without crapping my shorts in public! TR

Side Effects
I took this crap (literally) for about 9 months and did not loose one pound. I have always eaten properly but never seemed to loose weight. What happened to me besides loads of fat floating around the toilet, was this. My hair which used to be thick and beautiful turned an ugly stringy mess. I had hair falling out everywhere My beautician told me I should stop taking this product. Alli leaches out all the good vitamins from your body. This is no way to loose weight.

I then joined Sparkspeople. In 15 weeks I have lost 15 pounds. Exercise, exercise and exercise is what made the difference to me. I am still eating everything I want. What a difference. My hair is growing back and I feel great.
