Sonata Review: You won’t sleep easy with Sonata
Sonata is a prescription sleep aid, and it has all of the problems that most other prescription sleep aids have. In fact, you would have to be pretty desperate for some sleep to buy Sonata because this stuff is risky!
You may have a hard time finding Sonata on the web because of the Hyundai Sonata. But the medical name for Sonata is Zaleplon and if you type that in as well, you should be able to find out the information you need.
Sonata is part of a group of sleep products that are called central nervous system depressants and these kinds of medicines include anything that make you drowsy or less alert. So basically Sonata is part of the line of drugs that affect your brain to make you sleep. Most sleep aids affect the brain and that means that they can really mess you up too! So is Sonata different from the rest, or will it give you the same side effects and problems that are common in most sleep aids?
Unfortunately Sonata is not different, it is just as risky as any other prescription sleep aid on the market and it does not really work either. In fact I read through hundreds of reviews on the web and not too many people had a good experience with Sonata. Most review websites give an overall rating to the drugs that are being reviewed and usually Sonata preformed way under the average. Most websites (dailystrength.com, epinions) gave it a rating like 40% out of 100% or 2 out of five stars. In school, if you got a 40% on a test…you fail. The fact that only 40% of the people that use Sonata are satisfied means that Sonata fails as well. But why are these people not satisfied? Lets look into some of the problems that come with Sonata.
#1: Side effects.
Sonata has them all. Depression, irritability, headaches, dizziness, grogginess, hallucinations, mood changes, etc. What are the chances that you are going to experience at least one of these side effects? About 100%. Literally just about every review I saw, even the positive ones, said that they experienced at least one side effect. It may just be a simple headache or it might be a bad case of depression, do you want to take the risk?
Sleep Aids affect your brain and that means that they can become addictive. Some companies have found ways to get around the addictive nature of sleep aids but not Sonata. This stuff is habit forming with a capital H! It is so bad that some people even complained about withdrawal symptoms when they stopped using it. Seems a little crazy to me.
This does not mean that all prescription sleep aids are bad, but you do have to go see a doctor and that is a hassle. There are over-the counter sleep aids out there that work just as well and are not as risky as well.
Sonata is not worth your time or money, it is not well reviewed and it comes with some pretty nasty side effects.
