I found out my credit card was charged twice for the amount of $ 79.95 without my permission. I called the number provided by the website, the customer service gave me another number to call. After I reached another customer service, they claimed that they are not the $79.95 product, they are something $89.95 product line. Finally, I got a number from my credit card company to call. I got one refund and canceled my account from them. If you need a refund from Acaiaslim, call 1877-317-0189. You have to call couple times to get the phone connected. >-(

i read your review and moments ago just recieved my acai-slim in the mail. i called them and talked to a rodney I.D. 102 he informed me he would cancel my auto shipment and there would be no charges other than shipping. I am now on the phone with my credit card company to take care of any unauthorized transactions! Thank you and i hope its not too late for me. i also recieved a cancellation number 2204 from (rodney) IF any amount is taken out my lawyer is ready to handle this situation for me!!!

SILLY ME. I Should have known better. BUT, This company hides all the fine details very well. Not only did they charge my Credit Card the $79.95 for a product I didn't order (other than the free sample) BUT.... I had to cancel a "Fit for Life" membership I was signed up for automatically. That would have been a $19.99 monthly fee as well.

They say they will refund my money if I return their product...Happily! I also canceled my Credit Card to prevent any other add-ons charging my account!! My luck I didn't open my "FREE" sample - I can imagine that they are counting on people using the product immediately!

We will see if I get a refund....

Both are scams. The report above is quite accurate. They do charge your credit card and it is hard to get through to cancel what they have unrightly billed! Do not order the trial, it will cost you more than the $5!

I am extrememly upset with this company as I ordered the 14 day Free trial of AcalaSlim and I paid the $4.95 s+h with my credit card per the on-line offer. I have since been charged an additional $79.95 for a product I did not order, nor receive. At the very least, my thoughts are this is a deceptive trade practice, if not outright fraud. I have chosen not to continue with this order as the product has not done what it claims to do and because of company practices, I do not want to do business with this company. I have asked the $79.95 charge be reversed on my credit card and have notified my credit card company of this fraudulent transaction. An investigation will pursue and I expect this problem to be rectified immediately.

Truly a bad, bad company

Same as most of you I was ripped off as well. Called the company - you have to be patient - you will be on hold for quite some time. Finally, got the cancellation and refund, then the lady on the phone started to lecture me about their "terms". I nearly crawled throught the phone line I was so mad. I called the Fit Factory to cancel that membership, but they had no record of my information, but I'm keeping their phone number because I think I'll probably see a 19.95 charge from them sometime soon.

I've ordered free trials before with no problem, but this experience has taught me a lesson: don't buy from website you don't know. I'll stick with Amazon.com from now on.

Too Late

Once I ordered and my husband saw the charge, it was too late to even get ahold of the company involved. I spoke with my credit card company and they said the acaiaslim/powertea software had complaints about them, and the cc company credited my account. I then cancelled my card, to alleviate any further charging, because the cc company cannot stop a charge, because the company already has the approval code. What gets me, is Oprah and Dr. Oz are mentioned in the ads that have this free trial offer. The other questionable part is, there is no phone number on the cc bill for a consumer to call. They need to be shut down.
Disputed both charges and closed credit card account.

I wish I had read all these comments prior to getting the so called free trial. The terms and conditions were nowhere to be found when I got the trial and of course they dont send you a confirmation e-mail or any document with the free trial bottle so there is no paper trail. I got my credit card statement yesterday with two charges of $79.95. Notified my credit card company and their investigating. These people are FRAUDS! I will be notifying BBB as well. Nobody should have to go through this.

I ordered a sample for just the shipping charge and they also sent a bottle of some kind of tea in the package. When I tryed to get the 34.95 charge for the tea taken off, the tea company said it was ordered because they had my e-mail address, total lie. I have no way or phone number to straighten it out, but they put the tea product right in with the Acai-aSlim. That can't be legal and I am a new widow and don't have that kind of money. $34,95 is a lot for me right now. They did stop any charge for the other. I think. I should have checked this company out online for forums like this before I ordered... same trouble as you all, charges to my credit card from Fit-fac that was not on the page with the acai I ordered. And they charged me for another month of Rejuvenate when I never even received the trial! If we all do our complaining to the BBB and others, maybe we can help stop these scam companies before they rip off so many other unsuspecting consumers. I called the number from #3 above (thanks) and 'apparently' got the charge credited back to my account (within 3-5 days), then called the other number (866-407-1022) and got the Rejuvenate charges reversed as well (on my next statement). I will be checking this on my Credit card account and let you know if they actually did it. I was given a confirmation of cancellation number and had to speak with a supervisor to get it as they could not pull up any account info! He had it though (???). Bad, bad companies who should not be able to get away with this :-(

I have tried several times to get hold of your company to cancel this product since October. Your phone number is 877-317-0189.
I was put on hold for more than an hour each and every time then I would hang up. What With That?
I received the free one, paid $4.85, wasn’t happy with it so that is why I been trying to cancel.
I got my Master Card Statement for December, 2008 and I noticed you have taken off 2 payments a total of $150.12 for product I never received.
I did finally receive one on Christmas Eve but now I am sending it back to your company Priority post so you can’t say I didn’t send it back.
I want those 2 payments total of $ 150.12 you have taken off of my card put back onto my card, ASAP. No if or and about it. Please just do it…..
One payment was on November 24th, 2008 for $75.48
The other was on December 9th, 2008 for $74.64
Do you also have a company called Power Tea which they have taken $45.29 from me and I have NEVER received that product….nor do I want it now. If so I want that payment back too.

This company should be investigated for fraudulent business practices. The FREE trial offer is dishonest. I have noticed a charge on my credit card for $85.55 for a month's supply and plans for automatic shipments to continue. This is deceptive.

I have tried to find a mailing address to no avail. I did find a tel #877 317 0189 and I made a call which was after hours. I tried this email: falon@verifyyour order.com and I hope to make contact with that person. Hours are Mon through Fri.8am-5pm as stated by Connie in customer Service. She stated they have a risk free 30 day trial period and will refund 100% of the money. (They took it in a fraudulent manner in the first place).

If i do not get this matter rectified in a businesslike way. i will notify the BBB, my credit card company for cancellation of future charges and my attorney. Maybe a class action suit is in order.

Let's all work together to warn other unsuspecting buyers and to help one another with information.

Talk about a pair of ripoffs! Yeah, they got me too. After I had explained that I had tried to call, to no avail, and then sent them an email to cancel the order, they said they had no record of any contact. Rather than cancelling, they sent me another order(so they say) and charged my credit card again. I have only received the intial shipment, which was not a free trial...don't care what they say....and the second ripoff that is tied into them is the FitFactory.com, which is in the fine print when you sign up, but you receive no notification that you are even getting their service...but, you have 21 days to cancel it if you don't want it...too bad you don't know that your 21 days have started. ANYWAY, it's all been said...NOTHING BUT A BIG RIPOFF...DON'T DO IT...I'm out $100 plus ....and that is why d.s. stands for what I said...never again!

Hi again, promised in #23 above that I'd let you know what happened with the refunds. Acaiaslim and FitFactory both credited my account but minus the shipping charge with acaiaslim and for some reason FitFactory withheld $1.85. I don't care, I'm just glad to see the refund I was afraid I wouldn't get. Now I'm just waiting to see if Rejuvenate gives me a refund as well. They said it would be on my next statement so we'll see... stay wise!

Hey folks, I recommend we get together a build a strong case and sue the pants off these companies - Colon Cleanse and Acai.

I too have been ripped off. I've had several charges to my credit/debit card that were unauthorized. I've spent hours at my bank trying to correct the problem. I've had to cancel my credit/debit card and wait for a new one. I noticed today that I have another charge...just won't stop. These companies are crooks and should have to pay for their actions toward honest, hard-working consumers.

THIS IS A GROSS RIPOFF!
I didn't approve any automatic charges to my credit card and when trying to cancel the order via phone or the online chat, you either don't get through and they don't have record of you at all.

This is ridiculous!! I finally had to change my credit card and waiting now for a new one to be received.

This is a lesson to me and everyone else...nothing is free and never give your credit card online to this type of scam!

I am one of the many suckers out there who fell for this scam and I feel so stupid because I know better.It seemed to be for real and after all Oprah endorsed it, or at least the product. Where was the fine print telling us they would do all these charges and Fit Factory?? Fit Factory was easy to get thru to and cancel but we'll see if the charges are reversed or not.Calling Acai-aSlim was a nightmare, I had to keep calling and stay on hold for an hour before someone answered. I also had my credit card company start fraudulent charges and to stop any further charges. Everything everyone elses reviews say is absolutely true!!! This company needs to be investigated and shut down!

What a nightmare! I also had unauthorized charges showing up after purchasing a "free trial" of Acai-aslim. I hopefully got charges for Acai-aslim reversed three days ago, and today found a charge for Fit Factory, so called them to get that reversed. They will tell you there is nothing they can do, but don't back down! If you are insistant, they will eventually tell you they will refund your money. Of course, now I have to wait to see if that happens. I am now going to call Acai-aslim back to see if I should expect any other surprises. How many companies are involved in this scam?

I will repeat the phone numbers for those who need them. Acia-aslim is 877-317-0189, and Fit Factory is 866-407-1022. I hope the people here who thought they were sending complaints to the company instead of writing a review will CALL THE COMPANIES and stand your ground! I am also contacting the BBB, and will join in any class action against this company.

This is puplic notice I am canceling the and so not want any further shipments. I will also cancel my credit card as well. A lesson learned the hard way.

I am not reporting on the product itself, although I was not satisfied with this product at all. It is a rip off. I found that these people were charging my credit card almost $100 a month!! I found this after the second month. I reported the fradulent activity to my credit card company. I called the company to stop this immediately. After reading the other comments I thought I should write. I as all of you ordered the product, received it and had a reaction to it. Two days after receiving it I got ill so I called Bromolite first and was told the this wasn,t their product was not theirs and so my path began. I was told at that # that there was no file for me son everything was ok. After getting two packages within 7 days of each other, I started my barage of calls. I was given hours of waiting, different numbers for proof of cancelation and was told I would receive money as a cr. on my card. However due to lack of movement on their part, I started calling up to 10 times a day. Icontinued to get different confirmation numbers from all the cutomer service people. I also got each of their numbers and names. So far after being told I didn't get charged for two bottles of the stuff-bromolite and three of acaiaslim the suddenly said the opposite. So far they have actually returned $67.87 and 45.72 and am waiting for the rest (although this might sound like a lot back, they took over 400.00$). And finally, after reading other reviews and seeing names and numbers of the staff, I realized the same people have given different personal #'s to us and I can tell because some of the names are so uncommon I have never heard them before. Phone your credit card co. and they will stop any more money being taken and will nstart dealing with those co. One more thing, there is a 4th co, involved - its theFit Factory, so check your statement for charges of 19.95 (or around that) each money phone #877-271-4199 and keep every thing conected to this mess. Today Jan.27 I finally received a total of 365.39$ from the above mentioned companies - hard to believe after phoning many, many times. For #54 you need to phone each co. and cancel your account, write EVERYTHING down, call your credit account and you don't have to cancel it just have them stop any money going to these com. and finally call them until you get your money back. Heres hoping it works for you as it did for me. Remember do not take no for an answer!

DO NOT BUY THIS PRODUCT! Do NOT accept the trial offer before you read read and read again the disclaimer!
I am so disappointed to learn that this webiste is scamming so many of us! It's disgraceful. I spent an absorbant amount of time on the phone getting a supervisor to credit me back the 2 charges of $29.95. Hopefully I get the credit. The Better Business Bureau should really be on top of scams like this. Sadly, if you don't like many of us did not- scroll down to the bottom of their website- to read the TINY print. You have been caught in their web. Next- I have learned now to always always always research a supposed company before I ever give them my credit card. I hope others are smart enough to do that before they too get caught up in this mess. I now have to get a supervisor on the phone- to chase down another credit for $39.95. These people need to get it together or close down! Oddly enough back on Dec 16th I called 866-407-1022 which intially gave me a credit for $79.95. Today I call that number and they say they can only credit me for the Fit-Fac charges and I need to contact someone at 877-317-0189 to resolve the Acai Berry charges. A frustrating process- but I will get my money back!
Beware - this just shows you can't trust anyone! Research fully before you ever give your cc to anyone!

Then they charge you every two weeks without sending you any more product. A total scam!! I noticed 2 charges of $74.95 and 2 charges of $24.95 on my Visa statement. I called Acai slim to cancel and the girl I got (Brittany) basically said it was my fault for not calling to cancel withing the cancellation period but that she would offer me a refund of 2 bottles worth if I send them back (I WILL BE!!). Then when I asked about the additional charge she told me that it has nothing to do with their company. I told her that they must have disclosed my information to someone because I have never ordered anything online until this. She said it wasn't them.

I called the other company listed on my Visa to find out what the hell they even were and they said that when you enroll in the "free trial" of acai slim you are automatically enrolled in their online diet program which gives you access to their website and that unfortunately they do not give refunds. As soon as I mentioned a lawyer Customer Service agreed to refund my Visa.:-[]:oops:

I signed up to recieve free trail on both. I read the fine print and knew that it was a 14 days trail and need to cancel if future shipment not wanted. I ordered on a Friday and did not recieve the pills by parcel post after almost one week. I tried the pill for 10 days decided it did not work as it claimed. I called to cancel and was told that the 14 days started when I signed up because they said that they had no way of knowing when customer would recieve the product. To make a long story short, there was not free trail and not 14 days. Even if you called to cancel, they charge full price for the bottle that was supposed to be free trail.

Like you, I would like to lose some weight, like all of you (except for #51 I guess) I have been a fool too ! I have respond to the free trail offer. I received a new bottle last week and didn't order it. I am afraid of receiving my credit card account. I don't know how much they took off it. I called my credit card company and didn't want to cancelled my card, they said that I have an obligation to the company since I gave them my credit card number, that I have to cancell my shiping account by myself. But like I see in these review, I don't have any chance to speak with someone to cancell the shipment. I sent an email to #51, will see if that isn't another scam ! Any advice, I don't have the time to spend hours on the phone, I work all day and can't afford to waist time off to do it.

Lesson learned. Always check for complaints about a product before ordering on the internet. Or better yet, don't order anything from these fly-by-night ripoff sites. I didn't do my homework and I paid for it. Your only solution is to cancel your credit or debit card AS SOON AS POSSIBLE. Don't mess around with their phony promises to remedy your situation. All they are doing is buying more time to charge you again, and again, and again .......
I don't expect to get any satisfaction (like getting my money back), but I am going to contact the Minnesota Better Business Bureau and Attorney General so I feel like I have a little control (like 2%)in this deal. :-(>-(

I too got ripped off by both products billing my credit card, etc. The only solution to prevent further billings and the selling of my credit card number was to contact my credit card company and have them issue me a new number. A hassle but it worked.

I also, had several cramping with colon cleanse after one pill. hated it. But don't know if the acai-aslim works or not. I have these bottles, does anyone know whether or it is effective in weight loss? Any side effects? let me know.:-(

ADVICE: Close your account they have ahold of...this will stop all charges and it will prevent them from giving you card number to any other fraudulant companies!!!It is a pain and inconvenient, but better than draining your account!! They were very clear to let you know your trial was only 14 days and the unused portion returned if you dont want to be billed. I have tried several acai products. This is by far the best. I have used it for 6 months now and have finally lost these extra 50 lbs. I have 20 lbs to go and its so easy. This product works and is worth the $80.00. I have had no problems with them at all. As we all know we still have to watch what we eat and exercise. This just makes it easy. I have tried for 9 years to lose this weight and tried every diet. This works.;-):-):-P:-P

Again the rudeness .... this time I was asked is Bromalite the same name as Acia-aSlim ? ...... then she let me know as if I were an idiot that hence the different names ...... that Bromalite is a different company and contact them.

I am posting becasue I can't believe this is still going on and on here tow warn others !!!

DO NOT PURCHASE WITH THIS COMPANY !!!

There are so many other products that can be found in Whole Earth stores where the sales associates are knowledgeable and more than happy to listen to each persons indiviual needs !

OMG!!!!
I am sooooo happy I came to this forum site. I have spent best part of my morning looking at the free trial offer of this acai-slim. Looking for loopholes, prices, fine print, etc, etc.....
Alarm bells are going off in my head by this time but the offer of $1000 to be paid to me to submit a before and after photo if they use it in their advertising was a lucrative offer. Thankfully, the alarm bells were drowning out my concentration so decided to see what I could find as far as forums, almost gave up when I finally came across this one.
I am so sorry to all of you who were (and those of you who still are being) ripped off by this company!! But I have to say an ENORMOUS THANKYOU for having the courage to fight back and write on here your experiences because now I wont be getting ripped off by them and I will tell anyone I know about it too.

Don't ever use anything related to Acaifit!!! This is a total scam and ripoff. The products don't work and if you try to get your money back, all you get is a rude person on the phone (after you have waited on hold for almost one hour). The only option you have is to dispute the charge with your credit card company (as fast you can) and cancel your credit card.
