What is Sleepees?

Sleepees is an all natural sleep aid supplement designed to treat insomnia by allowing users to achieve a restorative nights sleep and also by assisting the body in regaining its natural sleep pattern. Sleepees is also said to help people lose weight, stating that with the extra sleep you get by taking the supplement, you may drop excess pounds.

Sleepees was recalled in Canada during early 2007. It was found that although the manufacturers stated that Sleepees was an all natural and safe formula, it contained the drug estazolam. Estazolam is typically found in prescription sleeping pills. It has a risk of being habit forming and causing dependence in users who take it over and extended period of time. Since the recall occurred, the manufacturer of Sleepees assure the public that they have rectified the situation and removed estazolam, making the supplement truly all natural with no risk of addiction.

The ingredients now used in Sleepees are  in a proprietary blend knows as Quencia. Quencia contains jujue date, Siberian ginseng, schisandra, reishi mushroom, red sage, helcidum, and mother of pearl. These ingredients are ones used in traditional Chinese and Japanese medicine, to help relieve insomnia and sleeplessness, reduce stress, pain, and anxiety and regulate sleep patterns. Some of these herbs have been used to increase alertness though, which seems a little counterproductive when included in a product that is marketed to help you go to sleep.

Can You Buy Sleepees in Stores?

I could not find any information about where to buy Sleepees. Any website that claimed to sell the supplement gave the result of “page no longer available,” when actually trying to purchase it.

Conclusion

Taking Sleepees to combat the symptoms of insomnia would be my last choice, when choosing a sleep aid supplement. Not only could I not find anywhere that you could purchase the supplement if you wanted to, but there is no information available anywhere that discusses any research preformed to show that the modified formula used is safe and effective. There are just a lot of things about Sleepees that give me negative feelings, and seriously question the safety of it. It seems like there may be other issues or problems with the supplement that have not yet come to light, which may be why it appears to be no longer on the market.
